Homework before Day One: Watch the video, taking a few notes.

Day One in Computer Lab (12 pts)

 Research the topic on www.islamacloserlook.com. Some other recommended sources
are:
o The course text
o http://www.bbc.co.uk/religion/religions/islam/
o http://www.islamicity.com/education/understandingislamandmuslims/
 Create twelve talking points:
o They should each be a phrase or a short sentence.
o They are the main points you want to cover in your presentation on day two.
 Type your talking points, print them out, and submit them to Mr. Phillips by the end of
day one.

Day Two in Classroom 222 (12 pts)

 When your team is randomly selected to present, you are all to come to the front of
class.
 First show the video to the class.
 All team members then share in presenting the topic, using your talking points.
 For full credit, you must do more than simply read your talking points. They should each
be expanded upon, thus demonstrating depth of knowledge.
 At the end, you should elicit questions, comments and discussion.

If you have a different idea of how you would like to present your topic, you can talk about it
with Mr. Phillips.
