Activity 1.1
Lee, a retail store owner in Suva, Fiji wants to buy 300 cartons of baby food from Roger Groups.
Lee orders 100 cartons of “Baby Food Premium” and 200 cartons of “Baby Food Ultra” (a
different brand from “Baby Food Premium”) from Roger Groups to be delivered to Lee’s store.
After delivery, when the cartons were opened by Lee, he found that it contained 200 cartons of
“Baby Food Premium” instead of the 100 cartons ordered initially. Instead of 200 cartons of
“Baby Food Ultra” there were only 100 cartons of “Baby Food Ultra”. Moreover, 30 cartons of
the “Baby Food Premium” were found to contain food, which was stale. Lee refused to pay for
the entire consignment of food cartons and returned them to Roger Groups.
Advise Roger Groups on this matter.
