1. Wrigley’s Chewing Gum

William Wrigley Jr is famous for being the owner of Wm. Wrigley’s Company,
his strategy for becoming a successful person is notable. It all starts when he is
working in a soap factory of soap owned by his father, the product they produce is
not that popular among merchants due to its cheap price for 5 cents. Their product
was not being approach not until William convinced his father to sell the soap with a
free cheap umbrella and priced it for 10 cents, the strategy William used was working
very well.

Wrigley decided to start and make his own company by selling soap with free
baking soda and promoted it through cookbooks. As the time goes on, the baking
soda and cookbook increase their popularity compared to the soap as the main
product. So William switched his main product into baking soda, and this time he is
giving away chewing gum as a premium product.

And again, the demand for chewing gum surpassed the baking soda that led
William selling chewing gum as the main product. Then he came up with a new
company and created the Wm. Wrigley’s Company with two brands of chewing gum
known as the Juicy Fruit and Spearmint.

2. Competition and Cooperation

The simplification between competition and cooperation was defined by early

research. Competition is defined in a situation where in a group or an individual are
rewarded unequally based on their performance, while in cooperation, it refers to the
equal distribution of work and equal rewards for everyone. Competition tends to beat
and overpower a contender by another contender. Cooperation gives everyone a fair
amount of reward if they do a certain equal distributed work.

Researchers have found that cooperation and competition are opposite based
on the rewards. But in the present interpretation, cooperation is crucial in
competition. It is necessary among sports and political races in order to win the
competition, teams should do cooperation in the same sporting events or rules of the
game or election in order to compete.

Cooperation came from latin verb which means “to seek together”.
Cooperation is a necessary factor of competition.
3. Understanding Calories

Calorie is a unit of energy, this unit requires the energy needed to heat a
kilogram of water on degree celsius. People might normally think that calorie is food,
but it is a unit of measurement that can be applied to any substance that includes
energy.

Calories come from food converted into energy to allow the body to function
well, grow or repair tissue and give good performance in working and doing activities
such as exercise. Food calories may form in fat, carbohydrates and proteins. The
enzymes react to these nutrients through metabolic processes and turn them into
their individual categories of fatty acids, glucose and amino acids. Blood cells carry
these molecules where they are immediately used or sent to the final stage of
metabolism where they are stored through the process of oxidation.

The number of calories burned during an exercise may be seen in different

ways including the body weight and the exercise used. For daily, a human should
take 2000 to 2500 calories in order to maintain the body weight and survive. Nutrition
has nothing to do with it, it is all about calories.
