• Nakapagtala ng 876,225 na kumpirmadong kaso ng COVID-19 ang bansa nung April 12 kasama
na rito ang 157, 451 active cases, 603, 625 recoveries, at 15, 149 deaths.
• Mula sa ulat ni Seceretary Carlito Galvez Jr., ang chief implementer ng National Task Force
against COVID-19, ang National Capital Region (NCR) ay may 100,000 na COVID-19 cases. 2%
dito ay maituturing ay severe at critical cases.
• Binigyang diin ni Galvez na nangangailangan ng 2,000 na hospital beds para sa mga severe at
critical cases ng COVID-19.
• Sa kasalukuyan, ang Metro Manila ay mayroongh 1, 395 intensive care unit beds. Kailangan pa
ng 605 na dagdag.
• Tinatayang P9.577 billion ang binayaran ng Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) sa

pagdaragdag ng mga hospital beds para sa COVID-19 patients at iba pang pangangailangan para

• Nangako ang PhilHealth na magbibigay ng mga sumusunod sa mga ospital ng Quezon City,
Taguig, Caloocan, Manila, Pasay, Valenzuela, San Jua, Navotas, Makati, at Paranaque:
- 30 ICU beds para sa mga severe and critical patients ng COVID-19;
- 1, 350 beds para sa moderate, mild, and asymptomatic cases
