Recruitment Process of Bkash

Bkash has some recruiters who handle the hiring process, making Bkash more centralized. This
is why Bkash has a centralized human resources department. Because of this, there are fewer
duplications of HR activities and they also ensure the EEO laws also.

As we said, Bkash is a centralized HR department and within the department there are a couple
of groups which are known as business partners. Here, in this group, each person is responsible
for one individual department. They identify any HR complications and they ensure that HR
activities are carried out properly. These groups are known as the Embedded HR unit of Bkash.
Their recruitment processes are given below:

Forecasting

Bkash's business partners forecast the requirement for personnel in the specific department. They
also send information to the top recruiters.

Need Analysis

For recruiting new employees, the dedicated recruiter will analyse why they need new employees
and for what purpose they need them. They may need employees if there is a new project or they
are recruiting new employees because they are terminating or promoting an existing employee.

CV Collection

After finishing the analysis, they know which position to fill and how many employees they are
going to need. Now they are ready to collect CVs which will match their expectations and
requirements. Sometimes they observe the candidates inside or outside the organization, which
makes this process easier. They collect CVs from two types of candidates.

1. Internal Candidates

2. External Candidates

Bkash prefers internal candidates. They tell their existing employees to drop their CV for any
higher position or any other vacant position. This is the way they fill up their positions,
especially higher positions. If they cannot fill the existing position with internal candidates, then
they will go outside to recruit new employees. There are some sources which help Bkash to
collect CVs of external candidates.

Campus Recruitment

Bkash collects CVs from campuses. Campuses organize career counselling and job fairs and, via
these, Bkash collects CVs.

Job Websites
Candidates drop CVs on different websites and Bkash also considers CVs from those websites.

Internship Program

Bkash offers internship opportunities and through this they collect CVs and select candidates.

Social media

Their main source of collecting CVs is social media. Recruiters use social media in order to
collect CVs. They find the LinkedIn profiles of various candidates and shortlist them. The
recruiters have their own knowledge of selecting an employee. And for that, they have to have a
good connection with the markets and they have to build up their own networking system as
well. There are other sources, like existing employees can refer to some CVs. This whole process
is always carried out by their own HR Department and they don't appoint any outside recruiters
to recruit employees.

Selection Process:

The selection criteria of Bkash depends on positions and for that they look after two main
aspects.

1. For new employees, they look at extracurricular activities and the knowledge of some
particular subjects.

2. For experienced employees, they consider candidates' achievements and experience.

To carry out this selection process, they have to look at the respective job position. If they need a
territorial manager, the HR manager or marketing manager will take an interview. A number of
experts take interviews when they need to fill up an executive or managerial position.
