VOYAGE AROUND
THE WORLD

This section will focus its’ discussion on the content and contextual analysis of selected
primary sources; the identification of historical importance of the text; and the examination of the
author’s main argument and point of view. First among the documents, the Pigafetta’s account on
the first voyage around the world. A corrected version of the Battle of Mactan was also retold in
the account where- it was an attempt of the Filipinos to repulse a foreign invader.
