Abstract of the proposal

The Online Business is globally recognized also in Lucena City where most people rather

buy online because of some reasons and that aspire the researchers to conduct the study about the

Emerging Trends on Online Business Entrepreneurship as perceived by Selected Senior High

Customers in MSEUF L.C. The methodology used in this study is an exploratory research design

wherein the researchers gathered their data through their own-made questionnaire by having

selected students to answer it. The findings of the study point to the effects on buying online and

its implication to improve the perspective of Senior High School students of MSEUF.

Specifically, other students enjoyed buying online because of their awareness that buying online

is less hassle and can save more of their money than buying in a concept stores or boutiques.

Rationale of the Research

The fundamental reason for this proposal is that many people are now really into social

media, and it is changing everything about the way we do business. Internet was developed for

people to keep in touch with one another. On the business side, the rise of internet is a very big

help. A greater research is needed to fuel the necessary advances of marketing and technology.

Many studies have concentrated on online shopping in the world. However, there is still a need

for a closer examination of the products that are best-seller especially among the millennial who

are very active in social media.

Purpose of the Research

The purpose of this study is to investigate the most purchased product in online business and

to compromise the ability of the producer to set goals for broadening their customer base and

retaining the customers that they have. The study aims to answer the following research

questions:

1. What are the demographic profile of the respondents according to:

2. What is the help of social media to the online sellers?

3. What are the emerging trends currently purchased by Senior High customers?

The theory of ‘Internet Marketing’

This section provides an overview of the framework, which contains four stages: producer’s

aims and strategies, consumer’s choices, internet marketing and evaluation. Consumer’s choices

refers to its perspective in choosing the products that they want. Aims and strategies are related

to long term business goals to lead to better business performances, this two are the indicators

influence the implementation of the internet marketing. Finally the evaluation is wherein the

process of evaluating the most trending products.

be fresh, relevant, enduring and inspiring. Looking for trends sometimes also involves much

more subjective “futuring” or wide ranging exploration of the environment in search of possible

future events or trends consideration of the impact of these possibilities on both customers and

markets. As the customer gets satisfied, it will help them to form strong relationships and even

allowing them to collaborate on projects with the producers.

Significance of the Research

This study will redound to the benefit of the society considering that social media plays an

important role in business today. Online business isn’t something new for small business to

consider anymore many people neglect how important this is for business success. This days in

order to be relevant crowded marketplace, being online is a must. This will benefit the:

Customers - especially those who are trying to buy a product at the lowest price and with the best

consumer support with good warranties, quick response to repair and minimum wait time at the

phone.

Producer - in searching for customer insights to recognize their conditions and needs for the

researcher, the study will help them uncover critical areas in the field of online marketing that

many researchers were not able to explore. The researcher’s discussion can provide valuable

insights into customer’s interest, opinions, problems, acceptance of new products and so on.

Online Marketing is an advertising and marketing efforts that use web and email to derive

direct sales via electronic commerce.

Scope and Limitation of the Study

This study dealt mainly with the perception of Senior High customers about the products

that are currently trending. It seeks to know the effectiveness of social media in doing business.

The researchers focused on the Senior High customers in MSEUF Lucena City as the subject of

the study because it is more convenient and a lot easier for the researcher. Furthermore, the

researchers come up with the procedures where the information gathered were analyzed and

evaluated. Although the research has reached its aims, there are some limitation, one of them is

the significant number of respondents.

Statement of Desired Outcomes

The researchers intent to know the emerging trends that purchased by the Senior High students

in MSEUF. As the mobile phone continues to revolutionize the way we consume content, make

purchases and interact with each other. The target of the researchers is to distinguish the benefits

particularly that customer assessment requires “deep dives” to identify unmet and unrecognized

needs. The researchers also want to explore the contributions of social media to the online

sellers.

a) Description of method or approach

Research Design/Research Instrument/Data Gathering Procedures

The research design selected is descriptive design. Descriptive research design implementing

survey methodology includes instruments or procedures that ask one or more question that may,

or may not be answered. It may use a variety of methods such as studies, interviews, group

discussions and other tactics.

The instrument used was a researcher-made questionnaire to gather the needed data. In the

preparation of the instrument, the requirements in the designing of good data collection

instrument were considered. In the end, it encouraged open responses to sensitive issues at hand.

Respondents/Units of analysis/Subjects of the Study

Subject of the study was Senior High customers of MSEUF Lucena City in school year

2017-2018. Data here gathered through survey questionnaire. The researcher chooses the

respondents MSEUF because it is suitable and advantageous to the researchers and also, so that

each member of the population has an equal chance of being selected.

Sampling Design and Procedures

The researchers used simple purposive sampling wherein the researchers relies on his or her

own judgement when choosing members of population to participate in the study, this will result

in saving time and money. Only limited numbers of people can serve as primary data sources due

to the nature of research design, aims and objectives.

Data Analysis Plan

This study contains the data gathered from the survey from the customers, this will play a major

role in the online business community. Surveys will be thoroughly read to obtain an

understanding of the data. Second, the response will be organized together then their responses

will be analysed for commonalities. Data will also present irregularities.

In the light of looking for the emerging trends as perceived by SH customers, the study gives

an overview of what are the products that are commonly bought online and how this benefits

both the consumer and the producers. Through the own-made questionnaire, some customers

were surveyed and also the data gathered through studies were combined and then analyzed. The

results came up answering the questions how the customers get satisfied with their products and

also some recommendations to the producers on what they might prefer to sell.
