Jack the Ripper Webquest

Introduction:
He only comes out a night and he goes straight for the throat. No, we’re not talking about Rob-
Pat from the Twilight movies. We’re talking about Jack the Ripper.

The Jack the Ripper case had remained and unsolved mystery since 1888. This unidentified man
is accused of killing anywhere from 5 to 90 women in the Whitechapel area of England. Who
could have done such a terrible deed? Nobody knows for sure …. Unless he’s The Ripper
himself!

Task:
First you will examine resources for facts on the murders, be sure to keep track of your sources
to cite later. Next, discuss your evidence with the person next to you. Then use the evidence to
develop a theory on who YOU think Jack the Ripper is?

Process:
Fill out the Chart on Jack the Ripper.
Write a well-crafted paragraph explaining who you think was Jack the Ripper. Include at least
three pieces of evidence to explain your theory.
