2. Bhushan Bhamaterajput (2020) Impact of COVID-19 on Indian Education system

-Present status and Future perspectives
Indian teachers-students have adopted the digital medium as an alternative traditional
method. It is not like that Indian teachers and students were unaware and distanced from
the digital education medium but frequency of using digital methods was low. At present
Indian education system has adopted new ways of teaching-learning and will survive and
bring major changes in the future. The focus of digitalization should be vertical means
primary education to higher then global. Every student should get education without
compromising on any scale. This paper throws light on views related to “Indian education
system is badly hampered by COVID-19; it was not ready for such tremendous and
unplanned change.”

3. Santosh Panda (2020) COVID-19 Pandemic and Innovations in Institutional

Transformation, Technology and Pedagogy
Covid-19 brought in panic and despair, but also reflection, resilience, and hope; and
adversely affected the economic and education sectors the most. Teaching-learning and
training in almost all countries were affected. The school and vocational sectors have been
the worst-hit compared to higher education institutions (HEIs). Suddenly, online
teaching/learning became the buzz word. Published reports and research during the
pandemic indicated limitations (and constraints) in perceptions; and most were actually
engaged in emergency remote teaching, rather than proper online/blended teaching-
learning. This paper shows changes and innovations needs to undertake for “learning for
Development” vision of global education.

4. Shuvro Sen (2020) Impact of Coronavirus Pandemic on Education
Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) outbreak poses serious concerns to global education
systems. Efforts to contain COVID-19 prompted unscheduled closure of schools in more than
100 countries worldwide. COVID-19 school closures left over one billion learners out of
school. The study investigates the impact of COVID-19 on education. The results show that
COVID-19 has adverse effects on education including, learning disruptions, and decreased
access to education and research facilities, Job losses and increased student debts. The
findings also show that many educators and students relied on technology to ensure
continued learning online during the Coronavirus pandemic. However, online education was
hindered by poor infrastructures including, network, power, inaccessibility and unavailability
issues and poor digital skills. Educators, and learners need to adopt technology, and
improve their digital skills in line with the emerging global trends and realities in education.

because most educational institutions in Nigeria still follow the traditional set-up of face-to-
face lectures in normal classroom settings. This opinion article highlights the difficulties in
assessing students, lack of conducive environment, connectivity problems, problem with
slow learners, flexibility of online learning etc and importance of online education in a time
