Title 1: improving project management performance through capability maturity
measurement

Introduction

Nowadays, more and more organizations change their organizational culture towards project
orientation. There is a big challenge for each organization to continually improve its project
management processes to increase quality of outputs and satisfaction of customers.

Objective

The objective of this article is to provide results of the research performed in the ICT sector in
Slovakia using a standardized methodology and to introduce possible measures for improving
project management performance of companies in the ICT sector.

Result

The result of this article shows that, ICT companies in Slovakia have a standardized project
management methodology in place and try to improve their project management processes.
Finally, a framework enabling continual improvement of project management performance
through capability measurement is introduced. The author uses systematic approach to project
management because if managed systematically projects are very beneficial for both sides
involve in the project.

In My point of view

In my point of view, I accept for the finding of this article because they can check the
organization capabilities by using different methodological techniques. The sample size of the
paper is small and the performance of the organization capability models at level 2 is also below
50%. The author selected other research articles and other writings from the field for review and analysis.
His methods were thorough. His intent was to integrate the findings that had already been reported into a
single article that could be the starting point for future research. The researcher used different scale
measurement criteria to determine the managers have agreed or disagreed when they could check the
organization maturity level performance. The aim of this initiative was to determine, which factors
are considered as the most important determinants of project management performance in the
ICT companies. Finally, the other companies will be work in this way they are improve their
project management processes effectively.
Title 2: the effect of project management capabilities on project success in Pakistan: an
empirical investigation
Introduction
Project success, especially in developing countries like Pakistan, is very important for all project
stakeholders including the community to sustain national development.
Statement of the problem
Thus, this paper aims to present and validate a research model that includes PMM and project
success
Objectives
The main objective of this study was to investigate the influence of project management maturity
and its dimensions on project success in the context of Pakistan.
Methodology
In this study, the researcher views the world as a collection of facts and thus adopts a positivist
research paradigm. The study is quantitative in nature because the research model is
operationalized using tested constructs from existing studies in the same domain.
Finding
The findings of the study indicate that there is a positive relationship between PMM and project
success. Moreover, it was inferred from the results that different dimensions of PMM such as
knowledge management transfer, process management, and resource project management could
directly influence project success.
In my Understanding
In my understanding in the review authors can compare between the awareness of project
management and project success. I accept the researcher’s idea because of they has been argued
in this article organizations achieve improved financial performance, increase their market
shares, and produce a higher rate of return on investments for their shareholders, through the
successful execution of projects. In this article there is a positive relationship between the
awareness of the project management dimension of project management maturity and project
success. The researchers’ have prepared questionnaire, they use sample and data collection
methods and data analysis. Finally this research is limited to organizations that execute projects
in Pakistan and therefore the conclusions cannot be generalized. The data was collected from
only project based organizations in the country.
