Project Description

Description: « Planète Lilas » project takes place in the Lilas district park, in the South of
Paris, on a 2 hectares zone. Its aim is to create and reach a planet friendly and organic
agriculture, including fair trade and sustainable development principles, a space open to the
residents of the district, a place for discussion and a collective garden. 2011 will be the fifth
year we propose this workcamp.

Type of Work: Volunteers will work with the members of the organisation on the garden
(sowing, weeding, harvesting...) and they will also work on the creation of a new parcel of
self-production.They could also help to the building of a storage space. Workshops with
children and local events participation may also take place.

Accommodation: Please bring your tent & sleeping bag

Qualifications: The work is quite physical, bring some good shoes

Project Description

PROJECT (10 vols, 18+): Nozeroy is a small village in the Jura that owns a castle from the
16th century. Thanks to the association named “les amis du vieux château de Nozeroy” it is in
very good conditions. This summer the office of mayor and the association want to continue
the restoration work together with a groupe of international volunteers. The work will be
physical straining but it is not necessary to have a special knowledge to participate. The free-
time will be dedicated to discover the region and the local population of Nozeroy.

ACCOMMONDATION: In tents on a camping ground of Nozeroy.

LOCATION: Nozeroy is at 15 km from Champagnole.

NEAREST TRAIN STATION: Frasne gare TGV

Description: In the South of Rennes, the organisation "Culture Bio" works on the promotion
of organic agriculture and sustainable lifestyle.

Type of Work: Volunteers will help building of a ressources center with natural methods
(straw, cob). This will enable them to discover local culture.

Accommodation: under tents.

A motivation letter must be sent with the standard application form. No volunteer will be
accepted until we get this motivation letter.

 Project: On the one hand the project consists in the renovation of municipal premises, and
events. On the other hand it consists in the support to the local associations with the
organization of a music festival.

This project is lead in partnership with the local associations and inhabitants living there.

Work: masonry, installation of wooden panelling, earthenware stone floors.

Language: French, English.

Location: Breal Sous Montfort is a very charming and small city (4500 hbts), located in the
countryside, 18 Kms away from Rennes (capital city of Brittany).

Accommodation:  Under tents and in a building for meals.

Terminal: Rennes train station. Airports : Rennes, Nantes or Paris.

Project Description

PROJECT: This is the first time that the village of Bernaville organizes a workcamp with
Concordia. The municipality wants to save this old cross in stone located in the center of the
village. In the past it was a in the middle of a traffic roundabout but since several years some
protective measures have been taken to protect it from the cars. The volunteers will carry on
the protection and the strengthening of its base. More information at:

 WORK: The volunteers will renovate the cross in stone by fixing the masonry joints,
strengthening the base of the cross and eventually doing some stone cutting.

LOCATION: Bernaville is in the north of Amiens in the Somme County near the Pas de
Calais county’s border.

ACCOMODATION: Under tents. 

MEETING: Meeting at Church Bus stop in Bernaville.
