B. Motivation
• The teacher will review the previous lesson which is all about chemical reaction.
C. Lesson Proper
• The teacher will discuss the following steps in balancing the chemical equation.
• The teacher will give some examples in balancing the chemical equation.
D. Generalization
• The teacher will ask the students about the steps in balancing the chemical equation.
IV. Evaluation
• The students will balance the following chemical equations using the worksheet
provided by the teacher.
1. When nitrogen combines with hydrogen, it will form ammonia.
The chemical equation for this is,
N2 + H2 NH3
2. When hydrogen combines with chlorine, it will form hydrochloric acid.
The chemical equation for this is,
H2 + Cl2 HCl
V. Assignment
• The students will balance the following chemical equation on a one whole sheet of
paper.
1. Al + O2 Al2O3
2. Mg + HCl MgCl2 + H2
3. Fe + O2 Fe2O3
