Mid Term (MT) -Time Table & Guidelines

Dear Parent

Kindly note important points related to MT exams for Classes IX-X.

Exams shall be conducted in Online Mode.

Exams shall be proctored i.e. remotely monitored. Hence any malpractice shall be dealt as per the rules laid down in the
school almanac.
Exam for each subject shall be divided in two parts –

Part I - Objective (Duration 30 mins)

Part II – Subjective (Duration 3 hrs)
There shall be a gap of 30 minutes between the two parts. Both the parts shall be conducted on same day for one subject.

Part I – Objective shall be MCQ based and shall be conducted just like PT1. Hence NO Mock Test shall be conducted for this
part.
03 Mock Tests shall be conducted for Part II – Subjective Test on 11 October, 18 October and 25 October 2020. The
duration of the test will be 01 hour and can be attempted at your convenience between 08:00 AM to 08:00 PM on the
scheduled dates. However, MT exams shall be conducted as per fixed timings.

During the MT schedule, online teaching classes shall remain suspended. Classes shall resume from Wednesday, 11
November 2020.
Refer to previous emails for guidelines and procedures to be followed for device setting.
We recommend that students use laptop/ desktop to appear for the tests instead of smart phones to avoid any distractions
due to notifications and to have a proper view of the questions. Camera connection (webcam) is mandatory.
Key points related to the tests are –

i. Once an Online Test is scheduled an Email shall be received by the student with User-id, Password and a link for the
test, from the Email-id - assessments@takshila.net. The emails from this account are auto generated and any email
sent to this account will not be replied.
ii. Do NOT share your User-id and Password.
iii. The User-id and Password remains same for all online tests and is same as PT1.
iv. All emails related to Online Tests shall be sent to student’s G-suite Email-id.
v. Login atleast 20 mins before the scheduled time on the day of test and complete the pre-requisite formalities.
However the test shall begin only at the scheduled time.
vi. Student should not change the window during the tests as it might result into auto termination of the ongoing test.
This shall be considered as malpractice and test shall not be resumed.
vii. No person other than the Examinee will be allowed near the System during the test.
viii. Switch off all notifications (including antivirus updates) for the device as per the procedure mentioned earlier as any
notification shall result into an alert and after a fixed number of alerts the test shall automatically get terminated,
which then shall not be resumed.
ix. Student should be properly dressed while appearing for the test and face should not be covered with cap, mask or
sunglasses.
x. Once the student finishes the test, s/he should click on SUBMIT button and not close the browser directly.
xi. In case the student is not able to complete till the end time of the test, the test shall get automatically submitted as
per the scheduled time.
xii. In case of disruption due to internet connectivity or power cut, the student can resume his/her test within the
scheduled time just by opening the test window again. But test cannot be resumed once the end time has been
surpassed. In case where the test is being resumed, the students’ responses before the disruption of connection are
automatically saved, so there is no need to attempt them again.
xiii. Click only on the test which has to be attempted, else it may generate errors like Completed/ Expired
for the tests which are yet to be conducted.
xiv. The student dashboard by default displays all the tests which have been scheduled since inception,
thus, click on “Yet to Start” to limit the search.
xv. Student should try and sit with the back facing the wall, so that no extra movement is recorded by the camera. One
should also try and sit near natural source of light, so that in case of power cut, there is no darkness.
xvi. In case of a major technical glitch, contact on School’s Email-id (info@dpspatna.com). The mail should clearly
indicate the Student Name, Admission Number, Class/Sec, Name of the Test, Subject, Date and details of the
problem faced. We shall try to get back to you at the earliest.
xvii. Review Reports shall be enabled after completion of all exams. Date and duration shall be intimated later.
