Angels

Chapter one: Disaster dinner/Wade and Jessica.

The clock strikes midnight as a fire trucks siren echo’s through the streets
of the dark Durban streets, this is the first fire outbreak that Nadia is asked to
come along since she joined the fire brigade. Looking out at the pearl dark
ocean while the fire truck speeds past the beach: she prays that she doesn’t
mess up on her first night out on the job. Nadia’s greatest passion was always
assisting those that are in need around her whether it being someone close to
her or a simple stranger.
As the truck reaches closer to its assigned destination her nerves’ rattling
starts to increase. “There are still people in there” one of the locals screams
out to the fire fighters while the truck stops and they prepare them selves to
extinguish the fire, “we need another truck” Rodger –the truck driver- alerts
them “we don’t have enough water for a fire this big”. While the team pull out
their hoses and began to spray as much water on the fire as they can: David
jumps on the radio and calls out for a second and bigger truck to come assist
them. As the team approaches the blaze they hear screams of a lady and her
toddler “there’s a baby and a mother in there!” Teboho screams out through
his protective masks to his team members “lets move people let’s move!”
While they bravely push forward enclosing the flaming house Nadia’s fear
takes control and mounts her feet to the ground preventing her from joining
her team mates, as she helps lead the fire hose forward. The back up truck
joins in on the action as it park’s behind the house and begins to exterminate
from that side, two of its firemen rush in the house while the worst of its
flames are extinguished and assist the woman and toddler out of the house
safely.
They all safely watch the house perish down to the ground in ashes along
with the lady’s belongings “close call that was” Rodger says as he gives Nadia
a tap on the shoulder. “You’re a brave little girl, you just haven’t noticed it
yet” she gently nods her head while the huge shock in her still struggles to
sink in.
They aboard their fire trucks and head back to the station to cool off and
relax, “your working schedule for the following week boys and girls” captain
O’ Roily hands out their schedules. “The fire you just came from was started
by a candle: the lady left her child in the house and went to the toilet and when
she came back the baby knocked over the candle. I’m not sure what she was
waiting for while the fire was still small though but the good news is that she
is safe and so is her baby”. After handing out their schedules he heads back to
his office “oh and one more thing, those that are going to be off duty should be
prepared to come in as extra’s, I have a feeling that this damn load shedding
might give us more and more working hours thanks to all the candle lights”.
He walks out of the change rooms while the team changes into their
comfortable casual clothing. “That old man is always stressed” Teboho says to
the others “when he retires you guys should nominate me as the new captain,
I’ll bring a lot of funk into the station and make you all rich forever!”
They all laugh and make fun of how the station would really become if
Teboho became captain “loosen up girl” David says to Nadia “you’ll get use to
this job in no time”. After a nice cold drink in the garage they all scattered and
made their ways home leaving those that are still on duty. “You need a lift?”
David asks her while pulling his car next to her “sure why not” as she aboard
“what a night huh?” he asks her while lighting up a smoke and rolling down
his window.
“That’s the third fire this month and all caused by candle lights. Its just so
weird don’t you think?” he asks her “I guess it is a bit suspicious though I
would expect mothers to be more cautious with their children and not leave
them on their own” “hmmm…” he sighs as they drive down the outskirt of the
Durban beech heading out of town.
“So I guess I will see you in a few days seeing that you are not scheduled to
clock in for three full days, so enjoy it while it lasts” David says after dropping
her off in front of her flat. She walks in tired while dragging her feet up the
stairs to her apartment, as she receives the same feeling of being watched by
someone that she normally receives when ever she reaches her apartment door.
She fiddles with her keys for a moment looking out for any strange behaviour
what so ever before inserting the correct key into the chuck and opening the
door.
Walking into the kitchen first: she opens the fridge and pours a glass of
milk and heads with it to the bedroom, taking sip after sip while changing into
her pyjamas and getting into bed. Slowly she falls in a deep sleep as the
shadows of a boy and a girl look closely at her through her bedroom window
before slowly disappearing.
Her tractor-like alarm clock goes off at seven pm in the morning as she
pushes it off the table while it continues making a noise on the ground. “Shut
up already…” she says while sitting up right and kicking it against the wall as
it eventually silences.
She walks out of her room and heads into the dinning room to switch on the
music channel on the television, then heads to the bathroom to fill the basin
with water while singing along to the song that’s playing and brushing her
teeth at the same time. After washing her face with cold water: she gets
dressed in comfortable clothing and heads to the kitchen to prepare a bottle of
water and walks out to start her jogging session. She takes a nice long five
kilometre jog to the Scottsburg beach and takes a pit stop on the beach to
stretch for a while.
As the fresh ocean air blows through her hair, she continues her jog on the
beach for another few kilometres before stopping to turn around and walk
back home. While walking off the beach and back on the tar road she
continues to stretch while taking a sip from her bottle of water.
She receives a phone call from one of her colleagues as she takes a few
minutes to answer “hello” “hey Nadia, how about I buy you breakfast just so I
can personally welcome you to the team”. “Uhm…” she sighs “well…I kind
of made plans already… sorry”. A cold negative air dashes through her hair
out of the forest as she freezes in fear forgetting about her colleague on the
phone.
“Hello?” he asks and calling out her name simultaneously as she terminates
the call and slowly turns her head towards the forest, as she takes a deep
breath while a baby monkey jumps up a tree while she continues on to the
main road before starting to jog back home. She returns back home exhausted
and throws her self on the couch for the rest of the day while switching from
one channel to another on the television before slowly dosing off.
Falling in a deep sleep she has a dream of a boy and a girl hovering above
her and looking down at her as she wakes up and sits upright looking around
in the dinning room, “dammit” she says as she lays back down on the couch
and falls asleep once more.
She is woken up in the afternoon by her phone as she gets up with a hang
over like face, “hello” she answers “hey its David what’s up?” he asks. “Oh
about earlier I am so sorry I was a bit distracted by something uhm… a little
monkey in the forest…” “It is okay” he answers “no grudge. Anyway was just
checking up on you and see if you are okay” “yes” she answers “I’m fine.
I just need a glass of water that’s all” she says while she gets on her feet
and heads to the kitchen while scratching her head “so do you want to grab
dinner tonight?” he asks. “David I would love to but I have this family dinner
thing so I don’t think it will work out…” “Sure no problem” he answers
“maybe another day” “yeah maybe”.
Her mother calls a few minutes later to remind her about the family dinner
“Brian is going to pick you up tonight at around six, be ready by then because
I just cant wait to see my brave little fire fighting daughter”. “Mom!” she
interferes “I am not little anymore and besides I just started working a month
ago and was called out for the first time this week”.
“And I only hear about this only now???” her mother screams before
yelling at the rest of the family members “my daughter saved someone’s life
this week”. “Mom… no please mom don’t make a big deal out of this please”
as she pleads but is not able to stop her mother from continuously bragging
about her. After two hours of preparing for the family dinner which she is not
in the mood for: she waits outside at the gate while her brother comes
speeding around the corner “hey hero” he says while rudely revving his cars
engine. “Shut up” she answers while getting in, he speeds off and lets her
know about all the family members that are coming to dine with them.
They arrive -after what felt like a few minutes of driving- at home where
the family is already gathered and awaiting them. As usual: noise seems to be
the only way the family can communicate with “I guess not much has changed
since I moved out?” she asks her brother “what do you mean?” he says “we
are much more matured and a well behaving family now”.
“Welcome back to the torture chamber” her younger sister Angela greets
her at the door while her mother rams everybody out of the wait and wraps her
arms around her. “Look at how you have grown up my little peach princess”
“mom!!!” she says “I moved out a month ago I am still the same person” as
they walk in and take their seats around the dinner table. “So I hear you saved
eighty people from burning to death on your own” her uncle Midge comments
“that must take a lot of courage for a girl with your experience and height”
“did you know that your name ‘Midge’ is a shortage for something?” Nadia’s
mother says silencing her brother.
A prayer is shared between all of them before the feast and a minute of
silence is held paying tribute to her late father who died in a car crash twenty
years ago, after the respectful moment of silence the madness gets on the way.
As everybody comment about something leaving Nadia to play her part as the
silent black sheep in the family.
She slowly becomes irritated by the noise as her eye sight is slowly blurred
and asks to be excused but nobody hears her while the noise continues to rise,
and rushes into the near by bathroom to wash her face with cold water. After
regaining her sight she slowly lifts her head and looks into the mirror in front
of her, she spots a reflection of a boy and a girl behind her as she quickly turns
around and notices that she is alone in the bathroom. Her older brother Ruben
hammers on the door “I hope you did not forget to bring your own toilet
paper” he asks as she opens the door “no, I made use of your face cloth” and
walks back to the dinner table.
She takes a seat and watches the family singing a traditional family
drunken song while raising their vodka glasses to the sky every time they
reach the songs chorus, after the song tired them all out she ask Brian to escort
her home and kisses her mother on the cheek. “Get home safe my little peach
princess” her mother says to her as the rest of the family drunks all chorus
goodnight to her while she exits the door “another perfect family dinner”
Brian says while they get in his car and reverses out of the drive through.
Once again he speeds to her apartment without any fear of being involved
in an accident or being arrested by the police, “you should come visit more
often” he says to her while stopping in front of the flats, “mom loves seeing
her little peach princess” “ha ha…” she answers with a sarcastic little laugh.
“If she stops calling me that I might consider actually moving back in with
you guys.
He waits for her to walk up to the gate and enter before recklessly speeding
away and heading back home while she walks up the flight of the stairs to her
apartment. During the night she has a dream of her sitting in a picnic with a
strangely dressed boy and girl enjoying the moment as though she has known
them all her life, all though they said no word to her: their laughter and joy
brought a lot of happiness to her.
The enjoyable picnic becomes ruined by a fire burning in the back ground
burning down the park, the boy and girl stood up and stood in front of her as
though they were trying to protect her from the inferno as she wakes up
breathing in and out heavily. The following morning a wild fire breaks out in
an informal settlement and she is called in on her day off, she rushes down to
the station and finds the rest of her team already prepared to leave “your late”
Rodger says to her “hurry and get into gear you can explain later”.
After she runs back out of the change room with her gear on they all jump
into the fire truck and race out towards a township near by, “this blaze is
beyond what we expected” David says while the hoses are pulled out of the
trucks that are present. “Nadia” Rodger calls out “go around the shacks to see
if everybody is evacuated” he says as she does so, stopping in the blurry
darkness: she hears the cry of a little boy in one of the shacks that are starting
to burn down.
Without being hesitant she storms into the shack and spots the boy
underneath a bed “its okay your going to be okay” she says to the boy but he
fails to trust her, “give me your hand quick” she says while the shack catches
fire faster. Eventually the boy stretches his hand out to her while she lifts the
frame of the bed, “quick come on get out quick” she demands as he obeys, she
puts the frame down as it hooks her leg and half of the shacks wall falls in on
top of it. She struggles to free her leg while the fire becomes greater, as she
tries to call out to her squad members but it is also no use as they are kept
occupied by the growing inferno, more pieces of the shack collide on top of
her body making it more difficult to escape.
A fare familiar girl jumps out of the fire and lands in front of her in a
praying position with her arms stretched out to her sides and forms a strong
watery dome around her, “don’t worry” she says “your safe now” as a boy
jumps into the dome and lifts the piled up pieces off her body all at once “are
you okay? He asks while helping her up and leading her to the exit. Reaching
the door they put her outside safely and hover back into the blaze while
waving at her “wait!!!” she screams out “you can’t go in there it’s dangerous”
but they fail to oblige to her and disappear into the flames. Her squad
members came running around lead by the boy she just rescued as she tries to
tell them that there are people in the fire before her.
A stranger looks closely at her from a distance behind a tree while they
carry her away to the front as he slowly disappears into the darkness behind
him, “I am fine” she says to David and Teboho as they put her down “its just a
couple of scratches that’s all I am fine”. The fire burns down half of the
squatter camp while the worst of it is extinguished, the rest of the fire
eventually burned it self out while the public stood and watch at their
belongings turn into ash.
“You sure you are okay?” David asks while the medical care team wrap her
leg up with a bandage, “I just need to rest than I will be fine really don’t
worry” she answers. They all went back to the station to change into their
casual clothing and scattered out to their homes, David drops her in front of
her apartment and watches her limp up to the gate: driving away as soon as
she enters the complex. It takes her a bit longer than usual to get up the stares
as she finally reaches her apartment and enters; she does not bother switching
on the light as she locks up and limps to her bedroom.
“I hope you do not mind” a strange voice speaks “I let my self in because
you were not home yet”; she slowly turns her head towards the window and
see’s a man sitting on the open window frame and facing the outside. She
freezes in fear as she looks at him climbing into her apartment “you know it
was getting boring being in this country and finding no action, but now things
are getting rather interesting now that I found a commander” he pulls out his
sword and presses the tip of it against her sternum “I wonder how much points
I will get after killing a commander like you” he says “you clearly are an
armature”.
“I wouldn’t go that far if I were you!” a boy’s voice says “that’s as far as
you get” he says once more while climbing through the open window with his
sword already drawn. The first visitor focuses his attention on the one that just
joined the conversation and points his sword towards him, “she did not even
summon you yet so how is it possible that you can be hear?” he asks “it’s a
long story that I wont bother explaining seeing that you are going to die
anyway”.
They both dash towards each other and aggressively slam their swords
against each other while Nadia faints; she is caught before hitting the ground
by a girl and is carried to her room and placed in bed. She wakes up the
following morning and see’s the girl that was carrying her the previous night
busy healing her wounded leg, she throws her with a pillow and runs out of the
room and into the aftermath of a fight in her dining room.
“Good morning” a boy says to her while drinking tea and leaning against
the wall as she looks at him and faints once more, she wakes up a few minutes
later while both the boy and girl look down to her “you know its not healthy to
faint a lot like this” the girl says. Nadia jumps up on her feet and screams
while wildly running her to her bedroom and locking the door, the two easily
walk through the door as though it was not even their “please don’t be scared
of us” the girl says once more as Nadia sits in the corner on top of her bed.
“Who are you two?” she asks “we are your guardian angels” the boy says
while they approach her “we were automatically summoned last night when
your life was in danger”. “And now that you can see us it will be much easier
to protect you, I am Jessica” the girl introduces her self “and I am Wade” the
boy also introduces him self “we are your Unity angels and are destined to
protect you for as long as you wish”.
It takes a while for their explanation to sink into Nadia “so you guys are
telling me that you were with me since I was born?” she asks as they both
answer at the same time “and you come from an organization that sends out
guardian angels to humans that truly need them” “yes” they answer once
more. “Once the angels are summoned by someone than they should agree to
their commanders needs and protect their commander no matter what the
cause might be”, “and in this case” Wade adds on to the information “you are
our commander”
“How about the one that was with you last night?” Nadia asks “he is a
rogue angel” Jessica answers “a servant sent out to kill Unity angels and if
fails to do so, he kills their commanders his name is Blaze and he is the cause
of all the fire out breaks”. “You saved a boy that was meant to be killed, and if
that boy were to die last night he was going to be another addition to the rogue
army” Wade says “and by some how summoning us at the last minute last
night, you gave away your identity as a commander”.
Nadia gets off of her bed and stands upright “I hope you don’t mind”
Jessica says I healed your leg for you” “thank you” Nadia answers and walks
to the bathroom to wash her face with cold water. “So the rogue angels” she
asks “they don’t have commanders?” “No” Wade answers “they are angels
angered by their past experiences they show no mercy and feel no pain for
others. They do how ever have a leader who is yet to identify him self in the
near future though”.
“So once his army is complete he is going to wage a war?” “Correct” Wade
answers “and the war might take place hear in this world, most of the rogue
angels followers are already roaming in this world. One of them is the one that
starts these wild and uncontrolled fires you have been fighting the past few
weeks” she remembers seeing the same person at all the fires she attended and
suspect him immediately. “The one you fought with last night?” she asks “yes,
his name is Blaze” Jessica answers “and now that he knows that you are a
commander he will come back and try to kill you”.

Chapter two: Conversation with Nadia’s inner enemy.

As the days go buy there are no alerts of any wild fires starting as Nadia
gets to know the angels more at the park, “well I am a sorcerer” Jessica says “I
am your defender and I also cast spells”. “I am your attacker” Wade says “I
yield the magic sword that was past down to me by my father” as he pulls it
out “this is Vendera: the blood thirst queen” he says while showing it to her.
“The amount of sweat and craftsmanship that was put in to create this sword is
beyond perfection”, while Nadia’s attention is drawn by Wade: Jessica’s
attention is drawn by someone else as she gives a concerning sigh.
“There’s a rogue angel close by” she says “and it has a different energy
level as Blaze” they hear a loud explosion in the city and painful screams of
people “can it be?” Jessica asks Wade “yes it is him”. The wind current
becomes stronger in the park as the rogue angel jumps out of the sky and lands
before them, “you know…” he says “for the twelfth and final commander you
were not that difficult to find unlike the first commander, whom I had the
privilege to kill with in a few seconds” “so the rogue leader finally sends out
his pet?” Wade says as they step in front of Nadia.
“Relax, relax” he says “put your toy away I am not here to fight I just came
to see the commander that was strong enough to summon the two of you,
besides its not a secret anymore she is automatically the number one threat
now out of all the commanders” as he walks towards them. “A sorcerer and a
banished assassin this is quite the combination you summoned commander” he
says as he gently leans over to take a glimpse at her between the angels’
shoulders “you don’t look like much of a threat to me though” he says as he
steps back again. “Well I hope I didn’t disturb your picnic so I’ll be on my
way now” he jumps up in the air while giving a diabolic laugh and teleports
away.
“Banished assassin?” Nadia asks “seems like your not telling me
everything about your self” “yes” he says “I haven’t told you everything yet,
when I was still alive I was part of an assassin clan…” he explains “my father
was the leader of the clan and passed down his sword to me intrusting me to
lead the clan once he dies”. He takes a look at the symbols on his sword while
continuing to explain “I made all the wrong decisions once I became clan
leader. I lead men to their death and was banished from the village, after being
left to survive on my own I collapsed in the dessert and died of hunger”.
“How about you Jessica?” she asks her “what is your story?” “Well… she
explains “I snuck out of my parents’ castle one night and head into the woods,
I fell off my horse and broke my neck right before I was eaten alive by hungry
wolves”. Nadia and Wade shockingly stare at her as though she was a mad
person “okay so I wasn’t eaten by hungry wolves but I did fall off my horse
and broke my neck, I died of the fatal wounds two days later in my room on
my bed”.
Wade breaks the silence between them as he comes up with an idea “we
should search for any other Unity angels and form alliance with them before it
is too late” he says “while we were walking through town I sensed an energy
level beyond Wade and mine combined” Jessica says. “It wasn’t of a rogue
angel nor a Unity angel”, Nadia gets up from the bench and walks towards the
city “I suggest we start there than” she says as the two follow her.
“This is the place…” Jessica says while they stop in front of a beauteous
African shrine “there is a commander here without a doubt” Nadia says as she
walks in “I can feel it some how”, they reach a fountain and pass a young
blind girl “I know why you are here” the blind girl says “I am surprised you
can’t even notice that I am the same as you”. The blind girl erects her walking
stick and turns around walking towards the back of the shrine where there is
an open field, “wait!” Nadia says while running after her “you are a
commander right?” she asks “yes” the blind girl answers while entering the
open field “why are you exposing your guardian angels to your enemies so
freely?” she asks “I might not be able to see them but I can feel their strong
presence”.
“Where are your angels?” Nadia asks “I only have one angel” as she stops
and snaps her fingers against each other summoning a humongous giant in
front of her, Nadia and her angels stop and stare with great shock at the
muscled giant before them big enough to be compared to medium sized tower.
“Okay Wade is tall but he practically reaches all the way up to that guys’ belt
buckle” Jessica says “I’ve known him since I was six years old; he is the only
family I have. When I met him he had no name so I gave him one” she turns
around and faces her visitors “I would like to introduce you to Rudy the lost
heavens gate keeper”.
While she still introduces him, Rudy detects an enemy present and dashes
towards the long trees with his huge sword out, chopping down one of them as
a rogue angel jumps out of it and lands on her back in between Nadia and the
blind girl.
While the rogue angel tries to get back on her feet Rudy places the palm of
his hand on her stomach and gently presses her down forcing drops of blood
out of her mouth, he pulls his sword above his head attempting to cut her head
off as his commander commands him to stop. He takes his huge hand off of
the slender rogue angel as she teleports away appearing a few meters from
them “wow…” she says while the words creep out of her mouth “that’s quite a
big boy you have there” as she struggles to get off her knees. “Reeds” Wade
calls her name out “Wade…” she calls out his name and looks at the blind girl
“just so we are clear, next time we meet your dead” she says before she
teleports away.
The blind girl snaps her fingers once more and Rudy slowly fades away “by
the way my name is Khutso” she introduces her self to them “have any of you
eaten yet?” she asks while a lady calls out her name from inside the shrine,
“follow me” as they do and follow her into one of the cottages in the shrine.
“How is it possible that you can know your way around the shrine this easily
while being blind?” Jessica asks her while they all take a seat around the table
“I lived in this shrine all my life” she answers “I am so use to it that I barely
need my walking stick anymore.
This is Maria”. she introduces the lady that is busy placing bowls of food
on the table “she has been taking care of me longer than what I can remember,
she is basically a mother and a father figure to me and although I do not know
how she looks like I can feel her aura even if she stands in between a crowed
of people”.
“Hello” she greets them all “are you friends of Khutso?” she asks “because
this is the first time I see you here” “we are some what siblings” Khutso
interferes “although we know nothing of each other I am sure we have all the
time in the world to fill up that gap”. Jessica looks closely at how Khutso is
able to use the fork and knife and how she is able to detect and differentiate
between all the meat on the table just by gliding the palm of her hand over the
bowls. “You have quite an interesting ability of detecting things” she says with
curiosity “care to explain how you are able to do so?” “Well…” she explains
“I was born blind but could still use my hands to detect and differentiate
between things, and I share the same aura with Rudy so when ever I come
across something that is not good for my health he prevents me from touching
or coming close to it, it is as though we are one”.
“You know Nadia if you do not put your angels in spirit mode than you will
be easily detected and be easy prey for your enemies” “well… I don’t know
how to put them in spirit mode” Nadia says “then that means you don’t trust
them with your life”. Nadia shamefully looks down and slowly cuts the meat
on her plate while Wade looks disappointingly at her with one eye. “Of course
she trusts us” Jessica interferes with a big smile on her face “if she didn’t trust
us than we wouldn’t be here this long, she just has to learn how to work with
us that’s all” “very well” Maria joins the conversation “we should get started
as soon as we finish eating, the sooner the better and the better the longer you
live” she says to Nadia while noticing the look on Wade’s face.
They complete the full course meal and adjured on the open field behind
the shrine “it is clear that your angels were summoned automatically all
because you were either lonely or needed desperate help. So now the first
thing you need to know is how to form a bond with them” while Nadia’s
angels move closer to her: Khutso summons Rudy and slowly hovers up to
take a seat on his shoulder, “okay here goes” Nadia says while she focuses all
her body aura and tries to join it with theirs.
She unleashes an energy wave blowing Jessica away towards the trees
while Wade solidly remains standing and covering his face. “This is going to
take a while I see” Maria says while she tries to get back on her feet “instead
of blowing your angels to their death try pulling their spirits to you”. Jessica
drunkenly walks out between the trees back towards Nadia, “okay here goes”
she says but ends up repeating the same thing blowing Jessica back towards
the trees.
The routine is repeated again and again for a few more hours to go before
Maria stops her “enough please stop, otherwise your not going to have a
defensive angel any longer” she pulls out a small sack and takes out a handful
of gold dust “if this doesn’t work than you are not fit to be alive or be a
commander” she sprinkles the dust around Nadia “try again, dig deep into
your heart and let your angels in”.
She closes her eyes and relaxes her body as she sinks into the darkness,
after a few seconds she opens them and finds her self standing in a dark space
with a door in front of her, as she slowly walks up to the door and opens it
with caution. Behind it is a room with a fire place and a sofa with someone
sitting on it facing the fire “hello Nadia” a female voice calls out to her
“finally you herd my voice calling you”. She enters the room and walks
towards the sofa while the lady arise from it and faces her “I have been
waiting for you…” she says as Nadia looks at the epic female warrior like
reflection of her self.
“Don’t be so surprised. You have seen me before in your dreams since you
were still a child; I am the capsule in which you looked up all your rage and
anger in”. Nadia slowly hovers above the carpet without noticing it and hovers
towards her reflection “I can see you are still shocked, don’t be” she says
while blowing air into Nadia’s face. She quickly regains conscious but
continues to stare in fear “who are you?” she ask “oh please I am not going to
repeat my self, take a seat we have a lot to speak about” as Nadia does so
while her reflection remains standing. “I have been calling out to you all your
life why were you not answering me?” she asks Nadia “I don’t understand
what you mean” she answers “I’ve never herd your call before”.
Her reflection gives her a disappointed single laugh “you wouldn’t hear my
call because you were not listening clearly. A few days ago when you went out
jogging I called out to you as you were passing the forest but you were scared
to answer, the night that you jumped into the burning shack I influenced your
bravery because I knew you were never going to do it on your own.
So some how thanks to the witch and her pixy dust you managed to answer
me” the candles on the fire place get extinguished as they both look up to
them. “Your time with me is almost up” she says as the door opens on its own
“the bond between you, Jessica, and Wade is complete” “wait” Nadia calls out
“what’s your name?” she asks “you will know my name the day you really
need me” she answers while Nadia floats up into the pitch black darkness as
her soul is pulled into her original body by a strong wind.

Chapter Three: Meet the twin angels

Slowly Nadia opens her eyes and focuses her attention through the blurry
view, “good your not dead” Maria says while they look down to her “I can feel
Jessica and Wades’ presence but I cant see them, where are they?” she asks
while trying to sit upright “what happened?”. She asks once more “you fainted
remember?” Khutso says “all I can remember is opening a door and…”
“Wait!!!” they chorus together “it is safer if you do not tell us about your
experience” Khutso advices her “you can put your self in a lot of danger.”
“You managed to complete the bond between you and your angels, its time
we find your colleague before he also dies, news just came that there are only
three commanders still alive and well… only two are going to fight in the war
because I am clearly not interested in participating”. They both help her get
back on her feet “we should get going” as Khutso takes the lead with her
walking stick stretched out in front of her. “How do you know where we are
going?” Nadia asks while they leave the city and walk on a foot path heading
down below the railway, “I can feel the energy of other commander from as
far as a kilometre.”
The Rastafarian walks out of his shack dancing and singing to the melody
of marijuana smoke following him as he spots his visitors “I have no more
blunts wit me…haaaa!!!!!” he screams him self sober immediately after
recognising Khutso “the blind monster girl” he says “good to see you again
mister” Khutso answers. “You already met?” Nadia asks “yes we met a few
months ago and he ordered his angels to search me while claiming that he was
possessing me so I summoned Rudy” “you almost killed me woman” the
Rastafarian claims. “You were misusing your angels and forcing them to do
bad duties such as robbing people, however I am grateful that you tried to rob
me because I would have never bothered to believe that you were actually a
Unity angel commander.”
“You’re a commander?” Nadia asks with a big shock “last time I remember,
Ariela, Kush come out to play” his two fare female angels are formed by a
smoke of marijuana on each side of him “these are me twins, Ariela and
Kush” as he introduces them. “Cute aren’t they?” Khutso asks Nadia “they
might be cute and look harmless but they are exceptionally strong, when they
fought against Rudy some time ago I was quite surprised that anybody can
actually lay scratch on him”. “Yah big ugly monster caused my twins a lot of
nightmares since that day” the Rastafarian says while placing his hands on the
twins’ shoulders and looking up to them.
“They are both defenders and are both attackers, which makes things pretty
uneven because their commanders’ defence is projected by the marijuana
smoke he blows out of his mouth”. Khutso summons Rudy as the twins
prepare them selves to fight by pulling out twin daggers each “we are not here
to fight” Nadia says while getting in the middle “you do know that there is a
war on the way right?” She asks the Rastafarian. “of course man” he answers
while taking a pull from his cigarette “the twins are prepared to fight for love,
peace, and respect” “then lower your weapons and join forces with me”
“you?” he asks while the twins laugh at her “the suicidal fire girl I saw on the
news a few nights ago”.
“Wade…Jessie…” she summons her angels silencing the twins’ laughter
“you have them?” the Rastafarian asks as his eyes stretches wide as though
they are about to pop out of his head, “do you have faith now?” Nadia asks.
 “Me and the twins serve under nobody we work on our own” he answers
while leading the twins away from the visitors, “isn’t this getting interesting?”
a voice asks from a distance as another visitor walks towards them. Wade
draws his sword while Jessica grabs a firm grip on her staff “forming an
alliance I see” the visitor says as they all turn around with the angels’ weapons
all drawn.
“Blaze…” Khutso calls his name out, the twins waste no time and attack
him immediately but could stand no chance against his energy wave,
forcefully blowing them back to their commander. “Relax” he says “I will
mop the floor with your faces another day lets say maybe… during the war?”
the angels all stand in front of their commanders as they await orders to attack
from them, “calm your slaves would you I just told you I’m not here to fight
you yet” the angels all relax but remain standing guard “I am just here to give
you a heads up the war is about to start soon so I suggest you all get ready, it
wont be any fun if you die without even trying… catch you again later girls”
he says while winking at the twins before disappearing in the fire dome that
forms around him.
Khutso and Nadia both turn to the Rasta as he looks at his twin angels over
powered by rage, he looks down and closes his eyes while releasing them to
cool down before looking back up to the two in front of him, “I take that as a
yes” Nadia says to Khutso while they both smile “I guess we will see you
again soon” while they turn around and leave.
Nadia reaches her apartment as she is stopped at the door by wade
appearing on his own. “Let me go in first” as he sinks through the door and
makes sure if the apartment is safe enough and clear from any intruders,
“come in it is safe” he says as Nadia injects her keys in the door and enters.
Jessica’s stomach roars forcing her to also make her self present while holding
it, “I will cook something for us” Nadia says as she walks straight into the
kitchen and prepares a meal for them.
“You know this is the first time I actually cooked for someone in my
apartment” Nadia says as she dishes up for them while they sit around her
dinning table and begin to eat while watching a news report. –News reporter-:
“today on the Durban main beach four pillar appeared from the ground facing
each other with a hard solid base in the centre of them. From the looks of it the
pillars appear to be the tip of some sort of strange building structure that is
slowly erecting from beneath the ground surface, Dr. James Ntuli and his
assistant Peter Conradie from the Mpumalanga science department were both
called in to come examine this mysterious behaviour and afterwards refused to
speak to our reporters that were present on the scene. More scientists are said
to arrive as the weekend progresses and the beach has been restricted from its
daily use until further notice.”
“So it has begun” Wade says while he loses his apatite “the first four pillars
of the rogue angels empire of peace” Jessica also comments on “once all the
other pillars are erected in different sections of the province and the pentagon
shape is complete than his temple will rise, and he will unleash the most
painful destruction. He must be stopped” “and you” as Wade looks at Nadia
“you must become stronger so you can control us better in times of the war.
Tomorrow morning you will start with your combat training so you can learn
to defend your self when ever we are heavily placed under pressure, to avoid
opening that special door in your heart again because we do not know what
might happen if it stays permanently open.”
“What door?” Jessica asks “I didn’t see any door while we were in her”
“the door opened the very first time I learnt to bond with you two” Nadia
answers “it’s the one that ‘she’ is behind” “and she is patiently waiting for you
to make a move in unleashing her” Wade adds on her statement. “So than you
have to be prepared for the worst scenario” as Jessica gets up to scoop in more
rice in her plate “Than that means that I can only defend you from physical
enemies, your inner enemy is something you will have to deal with your self I
guess” she sits back down and continues eating with a disappointed look at her
plate.
Morning came as Nadia reports to work with a wondering mind filled with
unexplainable thoughts. Nothing she did could clear her mind from what Wade
and Jessica has said the night the before at the dinner table, she sits on a stack
of spare wheels running her fingers through her short hair simultaneously
while the rest of the team played indoor soccer to kill their boredom. “If you
continue rubbing your head that way than your going to end up with a bold
head like the station commander” a stranger says to her as he leans against the
fire truck. “You must be the new guy from Johannesburg” she says while
looking at him “I heard that most of the females in this station do office work,
so its either your curriculum vitae ended up in the wrong box or you must be
one tough cookie.”

Chapter four: War preparations

David’s jealousy over powers him when seeing Nadia laughing at the new
and young addition to the stations’ sarcastic jokes “we should have a drink
sometime, and maybe you can show me all the hot spots around town that is if
you are not busy”. The new boy says to her as he walks towards the front
office door “I didn’t get your name” Nadia calls out to him “my name is
Shane” he answers with a smile and continues walking.
David walks towards Nadia and takes a seat next to her against the fire
truck, “so I see you are getting along well with the new boy” as he lights up a
cigarette”. “That stuff is going to kill you” Nadia says to him “this is my
elixir” he answers her while looking at the burning tip of it “this keeps me
alive and going for longer. So what were you two talking about?” he asks “it
seem to have kept you smiling for longer than I thought" “we were just talking
about-” as she is interrupted by her heart beats beating slower, slowly
suffocating her “are you okay?” David asks her while she gets up on her feet
“I am fine I just need some space” she runs towards the ladies rest room and
finds Jessica waiting for her.
“I feel it too…” Jessica says as Nadia retains control of her self again “what
ever it is it is inside of you, this might be a wake up call for us to get to work
immediately lets go” Jessica returns to spirit mode as Nadia walks out of the
rest room and catches her breath again. “Nadia are you alright?” her
colleagues ask her while they line up in front of the door. “Yes” she replies
while passing through the human tunnel “I just need some time on my own”
“let me take you home” David asks “no” she replies quick “thank you but I
will be okay", she heads towards the main exist -out of the gate- and catches a
taxi heading into town.
Walking up the stairs of the shrine: her body feels heavier and heavier as
her feet are showered by sweat while the Durban sun feel no mercy for her,
“Khutso…” she calls out reaching the shrine entrance and leaning against one
of the pillars. “What’s wrong?” Khutso asks and calls Maria to come help.
Nadia opens her eyes in a dark passage with numerous walls and a cold breeze
“where am I?” she asks her self as she slowly walks through the passage
rubbing her arms and trying to keep warm, she spots one of the doors half
opened and fearfully walks to it as her vision is slowly blurred and the doors
behind her peal away from the passage walls.
Her eyes become forcefully shut while the door in front of her also closes
“Nadia!” Maria’s voice calls out in the pitch darkness, she opens her eyes once
more and looks into Khutso and Maria’s eyes as they both look down to her on
the bed. “Are you alright?” Khutso asks her while Maria moves her little flash
light across Nadia’s eyes. “I am fine” she answers as she sits up right holding
her head “here” Khutso hands her over a glass of water.
“This should make you feel better”, Nadia sips slowly on the water and
regains her strength “I should probably keep an eye out on Zion and see how
his training is going so far “who is Zion?” Nadia asks “your partner” she
answers. Maria gets up and walks out the room leaving Khutso and Nadia, she
arrives at the open field and finds the Rastafarian –Zion- sitting at the stairs
smoking weed while his twin angels are hard at work fighting against each
other.
“I thought you were training” Maria asks disappointedly “I am busy with
meditation” he replies as Maria disposes the weed from him and steps on it
“this is a shrine…a place of peace have you no respect?” she asks him “get up
and join your angels as she heads back to Khutso and Nadia. “What ever is
in…might interfere with the war…” Nadia tells Khutso “tell me what you see
when ever you faint” Khutso asks, “darkness and my reflection masked with
hate and anger and I somehow struggle to understand her”. They are
interrupted by Maria opening the door “when you feel better I think its time
you beginning with your training and strengthen the bond between you and
your angels.”
After several hours of resting: the three join Zion and the twins on the field
as they all lay on the grass exhausted, Nadia summons her angels and steps on
the open field “okay lets start”. Maria follows and stands next to them “first
you have to learn to communicate with your angels mentally without your
enemies being unaware of it.” she closes her eyes and focuses on the two next
to her while her aura glows “can you hear me?” She asks but is not answered,
she concentrates harder and asks once more but is still answered by silence.
“Try to relax a bit” Maria says to her as Nadia’s aura slowly fades away and
asks once more “yes” the two answer her simultaneous.
“Well?” Maria asks as Nadia asks Jessica to step in front of her “I see, that
went faster than I thought well done now we move on to combat” she faces the
woods and puts two of her fingers in her mouth sending out a loud whistle.
“This involves you to Zion” she says to him as he gets up and also faces the
woods, the ground begins to shiver while two one eyed trolls walk out of the
woods and face them “these are your opponents for this practice, although
they do not posses the same amount of power and ability as your angels do
please do not underestimate them.”
Maria looks at Zion with a smile on her face “since you have more
experience and control over your angel I think you should go first” one of the
trolls takes a step back and sits on the ground while the other is preparing to
fight, the twins both take their places besides Zion and awaits his commands.
“Look carefully” Maria tells Nadia as a slight breeze passes them starting the
battle, the twins both take flight with their daggers out and attack the troll
while he blocks and swings his huge mallet at them “look carefully at his
index and middle fingers” Maria tells Nadia.
“He is able to control his angels with his fingers like a puppeteer from any
distance that is his attacking strategy” the troll roar’s at the twins attacking
him from above like two mosquitoes and throws his mallet towards Zion. He
uses his fingers to pull the twins in front him at a huge speed as they both stick
their hands out and automatically form a protecting ancient symbolic barrier
that stops the mallet, the troll follows and charges with his shoulder into the
barrier breaking it forcing Zion and the twins to think of a quick escape plan.
He places each of his hands on each twins’ shoulders as they jump up into
the sky with him and makes a loop behind the troll, they dive towards him at a
high speed and go their separate ways leaving Zion to continue towards the
troll as he spots him and turns around with a clenched fist. The troll swings his
fist at Zion but is prevented by another symbolic barrier created by both of the
twins from a distance, Zion bounces off the barrier with his hands and feet
land between the twins once more. “Wow his good…” Nadia says to Khutso
but remembers that Khutso is blind “the troll is barely trying” Khutso answers.
“These are the strongest trolls found in the heart of Mozambique they
cannot be toyed with that easily” the troll picks up his mallet and prepares for
the second round while appearing calmer than before and walks towards Zion
while his rage rises dramatically, “Kush…” Zion calls out with curiosity as she
attacks leaving Ariela behind. The angry troll bashes his mallet into her and
continues to walk towards Zion while Kush crashes into the ground; Zion’s
right hand begins to bleed signalling to him that Kush is seriously injured as
he puts his right hand on Ariela’s shoulder as an escape rout.
While Arial attempts to take flight the troll bashes his mallet down into her
sternum as she bounces off the ground and lands behind her commander
unconscious, he wraps his big hand around Zion’s mouth, nose and neck while
slowly picking him up “enough Edward…” Maria interferes “victory is yours
please put him down” as the troll obeys and walks over to join his brother after
doing so. “He is clearly not good enough and needs more training” Maria says
and looks at Nadia “are you ready?” she asks as Nadia nervously walks on to
the field with Wade and Jessica following her.
The seated troll arises to face Nadia and picks up his mallet; he slowly
walks forward towards her and slams his weapon into the ground –creating a
small shock wave- as a distraction and charges towards her. Wade and Jessica
awaits orders from Nadia as she struggles to figure out what she should do,
feeling Nadia’s fear dashing up her spine Jessica reacts and jumps out of the
way with her leaving Wade to block the recklessly swung mallet with his
sword. “She does not know what to do does she?” Khutso asks Maria as she
uselessly watches the fight “she has to get use to it, that is why I called out the
trolls to help with the training” she answers Khutso while looking at Jessica
and Nadia landing on a safe distance looking back at Wade and the troll
bashing their weapons into each other.
 “Nadia!” Jessica calls out “you have to do something quick or that troll is
going to kill the three of us” Nadia desperately looks around and looks back at
Jessica “you’re a sorcerer” she says as she closes her eyes and sends a
message to Wade “keep him busy for a few minutes we are working on a
counter attack”. “Jessie do you know any offence spells?” she asks “a few but
they are not strong enough to penetrate a trolls’ skin it’s to hard” Jessica
answers, while they both try to come up with a plan: the troll rams his mallet
into Wades stomach and bashes his head into him. He hits the ground while
Nadia drops to her knees at the same time and begins to bleed out of her nose
“Wade needs to be healed otherwise he is going to die” Jessica takes flight and
lands next to Wade and begins to heal him without noticing the troll
approaching her from behind.
The troll grabs her by her long black hair and throws her back to Nadia
before stomping Wade in the stomach forcing blood out of Nadia’s mouth,
“dammit…” she argues with her self while looking at Jessica struggling to
reach Wade as the troll keep punching and scratching her away. “What do I
do?” she asks her self “if I don’t hurry Wade is going to die”, the troll gets a
good scratch on Jessica as she starts to bleed and weakening Nadia even more.
“How much blood does she still want?” Zion asks Khutso as a tear slowly runs
down her cheek “I feel her pain…how ever she needs to know the feeling of
battle and find strength in her to help…” while Nadia lays on the ground
helpless she remembers the words of the epic female warrior trapped in her “I
am a fusion of you and your rage.” She struggles to get on her knees “that’s
it…I have to…unite with Wade and Jessica…” her aura starts to glow brighter
and brighter as it draws the troll’s attention while one of his big feet are on
Wade and his mallet pointing at Jessica.
Wade and Jessica’s bodies also started to glow bright as the troll takes his
foot off of Wade and turns all his focus on Nadia, the angels bodies disappear -
while everybody looks on with big shock- and fuse with Nadia inside a bright
solar dome. The dome slowly burns out and fades away as Nadia appears in a
different form; -she has Jessica’s red and black clothing and her long hair and
yielded Wade’s sword, speed and power-. “That is too much energy for her to
maintain” Khutso tells Maria, Nadia opens her Goth-like red eyes and without
anybody neither seeing nor noticing: uses her lighting speed to cut the troll’s
head clean off.
“What just happened?” Maria asks as she looks at the dark line left behind
by Nadia from where she was standing to where she presently is, the headless
troll drops down to his knees onto his belly while Nadia moans about the
heavy power flowing through her veins. “Dammit I can’t hold it in…it’s too
much for me…” she tries to fight the pain as wind current rotates around her
dragging everything in its way with it. The sky becomes covered with a
blanket of dark clouds and showers the city with heavy rain, the wind current
rotating around her begins to form red and black colours as it rotates faster and
faster until finally the two angels are separated from her and collapse a few
meters apart, the wind currents’ speed is decreased and finally stops when
Nadia also collapses in the rain. She is picked up by Zion while her angels turn
to spirit mode to regenerate and brought into the shrine.

Chapter five: Impatience

The following morning the erected pillars on the beach and the cost of
Durban stretched longer pulling along it a heavy block with a door in the front
of it. The doors slowly opens for an army of pale skinned soldiers as they all
assemble on the beach and watch the people fleeing from them into the city.
The captain of the army –Reeds- hovers down and lands in front them facing
the city, “they are here” Maria tells Khutso back at the shrine “and Reeds is
coming after you”.
“Go have fun” Reeds orders the soldiers as she takes flight and heads to the
shrine, Zion runs through the city with his angels killing as much soldiers as
he can while running towards the door where they all come from. Stepping on
the beach and facing the door he spots blaze hovering in front of it “we finally
meet” he says “I’ve been looking forward to fighting you”. Zion commands
the twins to attack while he coordinates them like a puppeteer from a safe
distance. Back at the shrine: Rudy misses Reeds with his huge sword and
smashes one of the big clay pots, “I have all my power now…” Reeds say to
Khutso while landing on the tip of a tree “it will not be as easy as our first
meeting”.
She dives down to Khutso at a high speed with her sharp nails pointed out
in front of her but pulls them back and bounces of the barrier surrounding
Khutso, Rudy roars and swings his sword at her while chasing her around the
shrine as she bounces off of all the furniture and Rudy cutting and running
through all of it. The noise pulls Nadia out of the darkness and awakens her as
Jessica jumps on the bed on top of her wrapping her arms around her and
bouncing off of the bed with her, while Rudy’s humongous sword pierces
through the ceiling and cuts through the bed.
“Rudy!” Nadia calls his name out while she lands safely on the ground with
Jessica “the war has started” Jessica explain while Wade joins them, Reeds
rips her axe off her back and bashes it into Rudy’s sword aggressively and
simultaneously. “This is not the same Reeds we met before” Wade tells Nadia
“she is much stronger now and much faster” “stay out of this” Khutso calls out
to Nadia “me and Rudy can handle her you go down to the city to help Zion”,
Nadia puts her arm around Wade’s shoulders as they take flight heading in to
the half damaged city. They land in the central business district and find Maria
fighting soldiers and assisted by her two trolls, “Wade…” Nadia calls his name
“I’m on it” he answers as he pulls his sword out “feast vendera” he points his
sword out while it glows a red light that shoots up and pierces through the
dark clouds above.
“She received the invitation…” the rogue angel leader says while he looks
at the red light from a distance “it appears she does not have full control over
her those two, which makes our mission easier”. Wade slices through the
soldiers one by one with his sword while Jessica parishes those that come near
Nadia with her magic spells. As the soldiers continue to flood the city: a
stronger opponent hovers above with her black wings spread wide looking
down to Nadia with her blue eyes. “This might turn out to be a bit more
difficult…” Jessica says to Nadia while Wade jumps back towards them.
Back at the shrine Reeds had her hands full with Rudy as she tries to catch
her breath and keeps hidden behind one of the trees in the shrines forest. “If I
don’t react quickly that monster is going to kill me” she says while she gets
back on her feet and tries to listen to Rudy’s footsteps. “There is no place good
enough for you to hide in this shrine” Khutso says while landing in front of
her “dammit!” Reeds replies as she runs towards her but is prevented from
grabbing Khutso’s throat by a force field. “A rogue angel of your level should
know how powerful my defence is” Khutso tells her “it is either you are weak
or you are testing my abilities because from the looks of this fight I would say
that I have killed far stronger rogue angels than you”.
Rudy walks into the forest towards them while pushing the long trees out of
his way as Reeds uses her speed to jump into the sky “I see…” she says “this
was never going to be an easy fight was it, after that blow your monster gave
me the first time we met I had already analysed your ability.
The monster has no defence he clearly does not need it so all his defences
are with you,” “you’re a smart girl” Khutso says “I also figured out how you
are able to notice things, your visual nervous system is connected to his so
everything he see’s you also see in you’re mind”. She sticks her arm out next
to her as a big double bit felling axe with a long handle shapes in the palm of
her hand “how about we start the second round with a more creative idea” she
says as she dashes down towards Rudy and slams the axe into his sword.
“I am impressed your twins are able to keep up with me…” Blaze tells Zion
“this should be rather interesting” Ariela attacks Blaze while Kush stays
behind to protect her commander, as the fight of speed and fire intensifies in
front of her. While Ariela retreats due to exhaustion: Kush takes her place and
continues the intense battle giving her sister time to regain her stamina, after a
while of fighting; Kush hits the ground with her body while Blaze hovers
down without a scratch to face Zion and Ariela. Zion pulls out a cigarette
stuffed with marijuana and lights it up blowing the marijuana smoke out of his
mouth and nose heavily after every pull “even in the face of death you still
think getting high is a solution?.” But Zion does not answer him while he
smiles and nods his head gently back and forth “that’s quite disrespectful of
you, it makes me want to kill you even more…seeing that you are stoned at
least you will die a happy death.”
The air around them on the beach is thickened by the stoners’ smoke and
obscures Blazes’ view, “so that was your plan all along I see”. As the fog of
marijuana smoke clears off a bit: Blaze spots a giant green skeleton swinging
his dreadlock filled skull side to side “helper summoning complete… meet
Gabriel.” “I am impressed…” Blaze says “who knew that my opponent would
possess such enormous amount of power? You are pretty good at hiding it too
though because I could not even sense it”, “shut your mouth!!!” Zion replies
as he pulls his head back up with a smile.
“Shut your mouth you are about to die” Gabriel’s aura glows even brighter
while his energy level also rises close to his max, “fool you really are going to
try to fight fire with fire? Fine than lets see how much heat you are able to
handle” Blaze warms up his energy level also as he wastes no time and attacks
Zion. Gabriel’s skeletal ribs cover his commander and acts as a shield while
Blaze’s sword kept bouncing off of it “cowered, why won’t you fight me head
on?” As he swings and bashes his sword numerous times against the shield,
the shrine was wrecked beyond repairing while Rudy stands in the middle of
the aftermath looking for Reeds, as a sharp light strikes in front of him forcing
him to jump out of the way while Reeds gently bounces off the ground in front
of him and follows him into the sky. “You seem to be slowing down or am I
getting faster?” she says while slamming her big axe into his sword like a toy.
After the hard effort of slamming her axe into his sword a few times: Rudy
swings his sword back against her axe and slams her away before landing back
on the ground. As she regains control and stabilizes her self in mid-air, she
points her axe into the sky. The blades of the axe shined bright as she swings it
down towards Rudy “lightning blade!!!” she screams while a stripe of light
shoots out of the front blade towards the ground, she pulled it back up as a
second stripe of light shoots out of the second blade. Rudy manages to avoid
the first one as he punches the second out of the way, “that second one was
suppose to cut clean through him…what is this things body made of? What is
he?” she says to her self while looking at his steaming hand.
 “You probably are wondering how your lighting blade is not as affective as
you thought against Rudy…well I will explain to you, Rudy is a lost angel that
was once the heavens gate keeper. he is made up of five warriors lives and by
the looks of it that little light that shot out of your axe was just strong enough
to put a none life threatening scratch on his first life.” Reeds look on with a
big shock at them “the heavens gate keeper…how can a girl like you manage
to summon someone like him? He should be way to powerful to control…”
Reeds say to her while Rudy’s wounds slowly heel “you will need to do a bit
better than that”. The city district was completely torn up by all the fighting as
police authority open fire on the intruding pale skinned army “I see Zion
already started the real show…” Maria says while looking at the lime green
glow coming from the beach.
She takes a seat on the ground and fold her legs as she begins her helper
summoning ritual “you better take care of that bird looking down at you,
before she makes her first move” she tells Nadia while a pentagon shaped red
light shines around her with ancient writing hovering around her. “It is time
Nadia” Wade says to her as he and Jessica look back at her “we have to fuse
before it is to late, have faith in us and open your trust dome” she closes her
eyes and relaxes her mind as Wade and Jessica start glowing with her. The
lights combined as one as Nadia opens her eyes once more, “time for you to
die” she says as she slowly hovers up to the sky and faces the death angel.
“Finally we meet” a male voice says as his body is shaped by the air
between Nadia and her opponent “allow me to introduce my self to you, I’m
the guy that controls your death angel and she is dying to take you home with
her my name is Alexander”. Nadia pulls out Vendera from her back and
prepares to fight “I don’t care what or who you are, this is your last chance go
back where you came from or else you will both die here today.”
“Relax love” Alexander replies “I have been watching you ever since you
were chosen to become a commander, you are to soft and you do not have the
courage to take a life unlike me” he hovers to the back of the death angel and
continues to speak “you see a few days ago while you were busy preparing for
your death day I took a little stroll around this city and came across a noisy
house filled with a family having dinner and an empty chair. Your chair. So I
couldn’t stand the noise any longer and did some physical soul providing to
my self…and poof…the noise was gone.”
“My family…” Nadia says as her anger rises with her energy, the pentagon
surrounding Maria glows brighter as a Pixi slowly appears out of it
“summoning complete…welcome Emily…” she says as she gets back on her
feet. “Well I see your friend already started the show so let me not interrupt
you two I will be back on my throne waiting for construction to begin on my
empire” Alexander says before teleporting. The two stood facing each other
for a while in complete silence as they wait for the first drop of sand stone to
fall out of Emily’s dust sack, as it hits the ground: Nadia and her death angel
slam their swords into each other taking part in an aggressively fast paste fight
as they both hit the ground and leaving a nasty dent on it. They eventually pull
away from each other and stand facing each other once more, “dammit she is
fast I don’t think I will be able to keep up with her for much longer…” Nadia
says.
The death angel lifts her right hand and snaps her two fingers as two
swords shoot out of thin air next to her and both head towards Nadia; she
slams the first one away with her sword and dodges the second as the death
angel attacks once more trying to kick Nadia forcing her to teleport. She looks
around for her as Nadia tries to pierce Vendera into her back but is spotted, the
death angel turns around and they take part once more in the fast paste fighting
that was barely visible to those on the ground.
At the shrine: Reeds breathes in and out heavily while looking at Rudy
healing his wounds “congratulations” Khutso says to her “you are the first
opponent to ever take a life from Rudy since he became a part of me” “four
more to go…” Reeds replies as she points her axe to the sky “I call upon…the
help of a thousand lightning blades!” she begins to swing her axe towards
them insanely as the sharp lightning blades began to shower the protective
dome Khutso created around her and Rudy.
Zion’s kick boxing was a good enough match for Blaze while Gabriel’s
sharp bone structured nails interfered every second that they could “you know
that helper of yours is becoming a real pain…maybe I should get us some
privacy from him for a while don’t you think?” as Blaze puts his hands on the
ground setting the sand on the beach alight, in a matter of seconds: a dragons
mouth appears out of the flames and swallows them both leaving Gabriel
behind. Zion’s eyes open as he finds him self in a dungeon made out of flesh
and a pool of lava below him. “Welcome to the dragons’ womb” Blaze says to
him as he stands at a distance with his hands folded, “I hope I will make the
stay as painful as possible for you now that you don’t have any help from that
set of bones.”
As his eyes scout through the darkness trying to find a way out: Blaze
makes his move by raising the lava pool from the surface towards them as the
heat becomes too intense for Zion to bare. He tries to avoid it but is connected
with Blaze’s knee bashing him into the walls of the womb. “What a
coincidence” Blaze says to him as he grabs him by the throat and throws him
against the other wall of the womb and follows him “for a second I thought
you were going to kill me” he says as he holds him up in the thick air. After
letting go of Zion’s neck he drills his fists into Zion’s stomach simultaneously
at a high speed without tiring out while laughing, the wombs walls began to
crumble forcing him to stop and look around.
“Gabriel…” Zion says to Blaze “never underestimate him” as Gabriel uses
the poison being extracted from the palm of his hands and forces into the
dragons jaws, Zion regains his strength and brings a green light to the darkness
while forcing a smoke out of the dragons pail face, “round two, yah know your
helper is a real pain” he repeats Blazes’ words. The womb dries up from the
outside and starts to crack open as they find them selves facing each other on
the beach once again, with Zion back inside Gabriel’s rib cage. “Coward…”
Blaze calls him out “I think I have been toying with you for long enough now”
while creating a dome around him and igniting his inner strength. “Feast your
eyes commander you are the second to ever witness my shear strength and I
will make sure that you do not live to tell the story”.
Nadia was exhausted by the death angel’s speed as she snaps her fingers
once more and shoots two swords out of thin air “I was told that you would be
the strongest opponent on this planet” she says to Nadia “I respect you for
being able to keep up with me up till now. How ever my commander is losing
patience with me” “so you can speak now?” Nadia replies with a question
“how about you tell me who you are and what you really want” “I am your
death angel here to take your soul for my reward” “reward?” Nadia asks “yes,
a second chance to life”.
She snaps her fingers once more as two more swords shoot out of thin air
again forcing Nadia to use Vendera to defend her self “you are going to have
to work for your reward” she says as she dashes towards the death angel and
slams Vendera into her sword, starting the second round of the high speed
fight. On the ground: Maria was busy trying to heal as much civilians as she
could while Emily showers the soldiers in front of her with her pixi dust
perishing them to the ground.

Chapter six: Soul capturing

“Such a high number of injured people in just a matter of an hour…” Maria

whispers to her self while healing an injured man “if this carries on it might
lead to the end of the world as we know it…”, after healing the man: she looks
up to the sky as two fighter jets pass the city heading towards the beach. “The
military?” she asks her self while the jets release missiles towards the erected
entrance block, Nadia becomes distracted by them passing above her at high
speed as her opponent takes advantage in punches her.
 A huge police force floods the city opening fire on the rogue army and
Emily at the same time, “ma’am are you alright?” one of the soldiers ask
Maria. “You are all digging your own graves" she replies “why are you
interfering? All that you are going to be doing is making this situation harder
than it already is tell your men to back off now”. But the soldiers refuse to take
her serious while two of them grab her from behind trying to shield her from
Emily busy getting back on her feet.
“This is becoming more fun than I expected” Blaze says while smiling up
to the sky filling up with choppers and fighter jets” “do not forget who your
opponent is!” Zion informs him “oh but off course” he replies “now where
were we oh yes I was about to rip your head clean off!!!” he says once more
while bashing his fist into Gabriel’s rib cage.
“Ultimate defence my ass” he smiles while his fist cracks the rib shield “so
it can actually brake?” he says while punching the cracked part numerously,
Gabriel tries to distract him by swinging his blade sharp nails at Blaze giving
Zion an opportunity to heal the crack once more. Blaze turns to another tactic:
summoning the dragon head once more but Gabriel sticks its nails into its
wide spread mouth “that should hold that manicure of yours for a while” he
says getting back to working on the half healed crack with his fists.
“I am losing energy quicker if I keep using my lightning blade so many
times” Reeds says to her self as she hides behind a broken wall at the shrine
“three more lives to go, but one more lightning blade attack is as good as
committing suicide at this state. I need to regenerate…” she gets on a praying
position and summons her personal helper, a praying mantis comes to her
rescue while Rudy and Khutso look at her dropping to the ground.
“Damn… that took even more energy than I expected” she says as the
mantis attacks Rudy with its long blade sharp front legs. “That thing is fast”
Khutso says while Rudy is forced to fend for him self, “the mantis legs are so
sharp they making dents in Rudy’s sword with each blow that connects”
“finally I am slowly getting my strength back” Reeds says while she slowly
fades into a short sleeping period.
Rudy uses an explosive wave to push the mantis away from him trying to
buy time for Khutso to come up with a counter attack strategy, “Reeds is
sleeping?” she asks her self “can that be the reason why this mantis is so
strong and so fast on its feet? And it has no defence. Since it is so quick it
barely has any time to defend its self” the mantis wiggles all around on its
back until it gets back on its feet and faces Rudy once more. “Here it comes
once again” she says as the mantis races towards him.
In the sky: Nadia and her death angel exchanges punch and kicks with
neither of them blocking each other. Blood drips down from both of them to
the ground onto one of the soldiers as he opens fire towards them, the rest of
the soldiers try to join him but get obstructed by a huge tent of sand coming
from Emily. “You want to help so badly?” Maria asks the captain of the South
African navy “why don’t you take care of the army heading this way, they are
the bigger threat than we are” he looks at her and looks at the enemy army
assembling in front of the city “I will heal the soldiers and you keep them
fighting".
“Gents!” he calls them while pulling a radio out “we are officially in battle
mode, I want a squad evacuating all the civilians on the scene the rest…we go
to war”. A huge noise distracts him as a metal island like craft erects from the
ocean lifting up with it the block on the beach, a short man appears from the
main exit of the craft “stand your ground gents" the South African captain tells
his men with their numbers now increased because of the healing power of
Maria, they all assemble facing out to their enemies joined by Maria’s ogres
and Emily.
“We need more fire power contact the UN, we will try keeping them
occupied until the rest of the worlds attention is drawn” “ATTACK!!!” the
short man screams out as the South Africans do the same clashing with the
enemy with their weapons and opening rapid fire. The navy seals on the ocean
open fire on the craft out in the sea facing the shore while the choppers in the
sky assist, medical staff and police forces from neighbouring provinces and
cities pour in to assist with the war as it intensifies, soon more air crafts from
neighbouring countries join in on the party.
Frightened soldiers open fire on the unnatural sized praying mantis fighting
with Rudy as the mantis swings one of its sharp blade legs –releasing a wind
formed stripe- cutting through all of them instantly. “Dammit!!” Khutso
brakes down in tears and struggles to concentrate “stop interfering…head to
the city” she screams out to them but is ignored as they continue to come in
numbers and open fire on both the fighting abnormal beasts. “There is an
injured civilian over here” one of the soldiers scream out to a medical helper
while crouching down to Reeds, the medical helper attends to her quick
helping her with regaining her strength. She opens her eyes and opens the
palm of her hand as her axe is dragged towards her, after slicing them both up
to pieces she draws her attention to her opponent.
Rudy aggressively slices his sword through the mantis’ and watches it
shatter like glass as he stands upright and heals his wounds once more “two
more lives left before Rudy and I are done for it” Khutso says while she looks
at Reeds hovering from the ground on full power once again.
Gabriel roars at Blaze fighting with Zion after his ribs were completely
shattered creating a huge sand storm around them, interfering with the armies
clashing not far from them, “fire at will” the South African navy commander
gives the signal to all his troops on the ground, in the sky, and on the ocean
surface. Weapons become active on the craft as it returns fire to the navy seals
and the combined air forces, further into the open sea: more navy seals slowly
close in on the battle destination as fighter gets get deployed from their bases.
“Brace your self gentlemen” a U.S marshal tells his army “humans found
them selves a new enemy so shoot whatever freak of nature you come across”
“Jedes Motiv, dass Hássliche" a German air marshal shouts at his troops
approaching from the distant skies, Russian militants slide down ropes from
choppers outside the city “wipe out all the enemy" one of their captains tell his
army as they run towards the battle field.
A slight sigh creeps through Alexander’s smile as he slowly gets up from
his throne and floats out of the craft, “shall I join?” he asks as he uses his
energy to stir the ocean out of control. “No more toying around” he whispers
to Nadia’s death angel from a distance “I understand…” she replies and looks
back at Nadia. After a few minutes of silence she flee the scene and head into
the mid land towards the Kwazulu-Natal mountains with Nadia tailing her all
the way, she takes a slight peak over her shoulder and spots Nadia enclosing
on her as she slowly tilts her body to an upright position and disappears.
Before Nadia could react: the death angel reappears in front of her and
stops Nadia by sticking her arm out and grabbing her by the throat, she takes a
dive down towards a mountain –with Nadia- and slams her into it. She slowly
lets go of Nadia’s throat and watches her as her body starts to glow, her
transformation reaches its limit as Wade and Jessica separate from her and get
into a defensive formation. “This is bad…” Jessica says while trying to heal
Nadia “she wasn’t strong enough to hold on to us for much longer and her
body has taken a heap of damage” “heal her quickly” Wade tells Jessica “I will
buy you some time”.
He gets a firm grip on Vendera and attacks the death angel at once as fast as
he can “be careful Wade” Jessica whispers while she uses her aura to heal
Nadia’s wounds, “t…they killed my family…” Nadia tries to whisper to
Jessica while coughing after every word “be still…” Jessica replies “you will
heal quicker if you just relax”. Wade’s every single swing of Vendera at the
death angel was merely good enough to match her speed as all his blows miss
her, she grabs hold of the hand holding Vendera and looks him deep in the
eyes “I have no time to waist with you” she says to him before ripping his
sword out of his hand and kicking him towards the ground.
He is followed by two swords heading towards him coming from the death
angels special attack as they both pierce through his shoulders, she throws
Vendera at him also as it pierce into his hip and sticks him into the ground he
smashes on. “WADE!!!!!!” Jessica wale’s out to him with tears racing down
her cheeks. Nadia sits upright in shock looking at Wade laying unconscious a
few meters away from her while her tears drip down onto her lap, “Wade” she
whispers to her self and looks at Jessica as rage starts to over power her
“Jessie no don’t go” she pleads to Jessica but is ignored. She takes a few steps
forward while her aura turns a purple black colour and her staff taking up a
transformation of its own, her eyes turn blood red as she slowly takes flight
and faces the death angel.
“Spare your life sorcerer” the death angel says “we both know that you
have no fight in you to match with me” Jessica looks at her while the tip of her
staff changes and shapes into a sleeping rose like blade, she swings it at the
death angel as it stretches out with a spring support and starts to spin.
“Impossible” the death angel says while jumping out of the way “that is a
forbidden technique” she says while using her sword to block the spinning
flower. Jessica points her index finger at the death angel and starts shooting
numerous laser straps towards her. “Your not an ordinary sorcerer are you” the
death angel says as she creates a force field around her “how ever my
commander is getting very impatient with me”, she expands the force field
knocking Jessica off balance as her body slowly turns towards Nadia
“Nadia…” she whispers as she slowly loses sight “run…” the death angel
stops beside her unbalanced body and knocks her out with a punch sending her
straight to the ground.
“Your transformation was imperfection…” Alexander says to Nadia as he
appears through a portal “clearly you did not deserve to be the commander of
these two, either you were chosen by mistake or there is something very
special about you…I wonder what that might be hmmm…?” he asks while
kneeling in front if her. “I can sense anything inside anyone anywhere" he
whispers in her left ear “however I can’t sense anything in you, care to explain
to me why that is so? Or would you like me to find out for my self?” he asks.
He places his fingers on the sides of her frontal lobe and gently massages her
“relax love this wont hurt at all if you just calm down and cooperate with me”.
A little shock wave from Nadia goes through Alexander forcing him to
remove his fingers from her head “interesting…something is keeping me out
of your mind and it is not you…” he slowly gets back on his feet and looks
back at the death angel. “Beat some sense into her until she decides to speak”
the death angel approaches Nadia and picks her up pressing her against the
crack of the mountain, “speak” she demands as Nadia looks down at her trying
to hide behind her false courage, the death angel starts punching her none stop
with her free hand while Alexander looks on. “Is this how I am going to
die…?” Nadia asks her self mentally “what was all that hard work for? Is this
how my life ends?” she asks her self once more.
“Enough” Alexander commands the death angel and walks over to Nadia –
dropped on the ground- “you are the only thing that is in my way from taking
over this planet, I want to know why that is so and why I was cautioned
because of you”. He grabs her by the throat and lifts her from the ground “I
can always kill you right now and have no worries later on, how ever I am
very curious about you” he starts to punch her none stop against the mountain
as Nadia slowly fades in a deep sleep while seeing visions of her friends and
family.
Her eyes are shut while the door inside of her opens slowly, she gives a
slight laugh as Alexander stops punching her while her eyes open once more
with her pupils turned sky blue. A bright light surrounds her body as she takes
up a transformation, the light clears out and Nadia appears stronger –wearing
black tight leather clothing and a leather jacket that stretches just above her
knees. The death angel jumps in front of her commander and punches Nadia as
hard as possible sending out a shock wave across the side of the mountain.
“Don’t make me laugh” Nadia says as she turns her head slowly back to the
death angel “you are not the commander of earlier…” Alexander says to her
“who are you?” “I see no need for an introduction…” she replies “how ever…
it would be rude not to do so, I am made up of all the emotions and rage of
Nadia and seeing that she manage to bring me in action means that she is
beyond the control of her anger”.
“Very well angry version of Nadia” Alexander says “I haven’t tasted the
feeling of battle in a long time so I guess I will play with you and see what you
are capable of” he looks at the death angel and commands her to stand back as
he faces Nadia. She sticks her hand out as a thin sword is shaped by her pearl
black aura “wow that’s a fancy magic trick you just pulled their, does it have a
name?” Alexander asks “come find out” she replies as they both dash towards
each other at the same time and slam their swords into each other.
The intensity of their battle sends out shock waves all around them
reaching as far as the Durban city, Maria looks in the direction in which the
waves come from “this cold evil energy…where is it coming from?” she asks
her self. She puts two of her fingers on the side of her head to start a
communication path with her comrades “guys we have a bigger problem meet
me on the east of the city as soon as you can”, Zion nods his head from inside
of Gabriel while looking at Blaze dying just a few toe lengths in front of him;
with Gabriel’s nails stuck through his body. “It was great while it lasted…”
Blaze says to him “would…love…to do it again…soon…” as his head drops
and rests his chin on his chest.
“Rudy…” Khutso says while blood tears race down her cheeks “open your
eyes so I can see you…Rudy…” she calls out while crawling on the ground
away from Rudy laying just a few footsteps away from her with broken blades
filled in his body. “I can’t heal you if I can’t see you please open your eyes"
Reeds looks down at her with Rudy’s huge sword nailing her into a huge tree
as she closes her eyes and releases her last breath of life.
The death angel looks on at Nadia and Alexander as she craves for battle
but mounted to the ground at the safe distance by her commander’s command,
she examines every punch and kick that Nadia sends out and determines the
amount of time Nadia takes before swinging her sword. “You do not stand a
chance against her” she tells Alexander as he lands next to her “her every blow
is twice as fast as yours and one cut from her swords is as lethal as five cuts
from yours” he looks up to Nadia as a black aura continues to glow around her
body “you are no match against her” the death angel continues to discourage
him. “Your not very helpful" he says to her as he charges up his power and
jumps towards Nadia continuing the battle “you’re over eagerness over powers
you master” the death angel says “you should have let me kill her before it
was too late.”
“Coral…” Maria calls out while waiting for her comrades to arrive at the
spot she suggested “shouldn’t we be helping the world armies?” Zion asks
while hanging on the shoulders of Ariela and Kush like a dirty pimp. “Where
is Khutso?” she asks him “on her way" he answers “we have a big problem…”
her sentence is cut by Khutso slowly enclosing them covered in blood stains
ad bruises all around her.
“Sorry I am late it took me a while to wake Rudy up but we are fine now”
“Nadia performed a transformation…some how she managed to free Coral and
take up her form” “Coral is who?” Zion asks after puffing a smoke of weed.
“She is an arch angel dating back to the Mesozoic era, together with her
partner in crime they were the best battle angels ever to exist but were band
from existence and thrown into the realm that separates life and death."
“She managed to escape?” Khutso asks while they all look at the heat
waves coming from the direction of the battle “yes and if she escaped than it
means that her friend also escaped, meaning that its not only the world that is
at stake here it’s the hole galaxy as we know it, can you walk?” Maria asks
Khutso “yes my wounds are quickly healing” she looks at Zion as he smiles at
her and thinks twice about asking him “never mind” she says to him. “Lets
head towards the real battle, the world is officially united and they have the
enough amount of fighting power to protect man-kind”. “It took me a while to
figure out who your opponent is but I now have an idea" the death angel tells
her commander taking a moment to breathe next to her, “she is the
reincarnation of the arch angel Coral the best defence against her would be to
flee while you still have the chance or else she will be the cause of your
death”.
Alexander’s arrogance over powers him as his rage doubles his energy to
his max, “a child like you given the position of military power…how pathetic”
the arch angel –Coral- says while looking down at Alexander from the sky
“the rogue king must really be out of options”. Alexander jumps up towards
her with rage swinging his sword through her fading body “you are hopeless"
she says to him while he slowly dives through her body in shock “a leader
never lets arrogance gain control over him” she pierces her sword into his
scapula and through his shoulder as she pulls him closer to her with it.
“You have control over a death angel and yet you side line her just so you
can die?”, the other commanders arrived on the scene as the death angel jumps
onto their way “do not interfere" she says to them “your commander is about
to die and you are doing nothing about it?” Maria asks as they all look up into
the sky. “He chose his own fate, and gave me orders which I cannot ignore”,
Coral slices her sword out of his shoulder and kicks him to the ground “there
is no doubt about it…the power I am sensing belongs to Coral” Maria says
while they look at her kicking Alexander from the ground and into the sky
“she must have somehow taken refuge inside of Nadia, how did this happen?”
she asks the death angel.
“Her anger was triggered and pushed beyond the limit which gave birth to
Coral; you say that she has taken refuge inside of your friend…meaning that
she is not the reincarnation of Coral?” “No” Maria answers. “Coral was not
executed she…” she stops explaining as they all jump out of the way of
Alexander crash landing in front of them.
Coral bounces her feet into his stomach and bounces back into the sky; she
heads down towards him once more and throws her sword through his heart,
and balances on it with her one foot while looking at the others. “Why was
Coral never executed and what is her weakness?” the death angel demands.
Maria and Coral exchange eye contact for a few seconds while the death angel
demands answers, she pulls her sword out Alexander’s heart and lands behind
the death angel as she teleports into the sky. “You are free now” she says to the
death angel hovering in the sky “and you…I recognise you from the day of my
arrest” she says to Maria “if you escaped than that means your partner also
escaped…” Maria replies as Coral gives a single giggle while the soft breeze
blows her body off of Nadia like ashes.

Chapter seven: Unity headquarters

 She slowly drops to her knees and tilts forward heading towards the ground
as Zion catches her before she reaches it, “we have to get her to a safe place so
she can rest, her body has the ability to heal it self.” As Zion picks Nadia up:
chanting noises are heard from the city of Durban while celebrations of a
victory take place, lets move quick before the attention is drawn to us” Maria
tells the others. The United Nation armies all combined with the brave police
men and women from all parts of the country all celebrate as the visitors
retreat back to safety, “I guess the world really knows how to stand up for
them selves when it is really needed” Khutso says while she hovers behind
Zion and Maria.
They reach an untouched area where Maria asks them to stop and takes a
look around “this should be the place” she says as she walks towards a huge
unusually shaped rock and presses her forehead against it. A portal opens up
from the part which her forehead is pressed against and grows bigger till it fills
up the whole rock. “We should be safer in here” she says to them as they
follow her into a cave like room “the first time I came to this country I created
this place for my self to live in, it has not changed at all since then” “I will let
the twins stand guard outside just encase something happens” Zion suggests as
he walks out and summons the twins.
“What is the plan now?” Khutso asks Maria as she looks at Nadia lying on
the bed, “Nadia is Coral’s doppelganger which makes her a threat to
everybody including us, what we need to find out is how Coral manage to nest
inside Nadia and how she escaped captive”. “Khutso takes a seat and asks her
next question “what are we going to do?” she asks “you guys are going to stay
here for a while until the mess outside is cleaned up and I am going to find
answers back at the Unity headquarters.” “How is it possible that you can
reach the headquarters?” Zion asks while walking back into the room “because
I was a rookie in training there, it is a long story don’t worry about it now” she
says while getting up “I won’t be gone that long and if I am not back with in
three days than it means that I am dead.”
She opens another portal from the back wall in the room and walks through
it as she appears at the main gate of the Unity headquarters “it kind of feels
good to be back home I guess” she says to her self while slowly heading
towards the gate. The guards at the main gate see her approaching as they
close the gate and assemble before it “there is no place for traitors here, go
back where you came from” one of the guards say to her. “I am here to speak
to the grand master, there is a big problem that involves headquarters…please
you have to let me pass it is a serious matter” while the guards refuse to give
her way: the head of security walks out of the main gate “Maria…” he says as
the guards make way for him.
 “You are brave coming back here, are you forgetting that you are no longer
wanted here?” he asks “there is a problem that involves the headquarters I
have to speak to the grand master you are all in danger.” He lifts his head and
faces her “the Unity headquarters have enough protection and who ever tries
to pick a fight with us will be making a really big mistake” he says while
pulling out his sword. “I am not here to fight you” Maria replies to him as she
opens a portal in front of her and dives in it, she dives out of another portal on
the other side of the gate inside the headquarters district.
“Alert the head offices we have an intruder in the district” the head of
security says as he runs after her, “warning intruder alert all unity
commanders, captains, and security personnel report to sector A” -a
transmission alerts everyone-. The head of security gives a slight sigh while
chasing after her “I guess you are much faster than before” he says as he takes
a bite on his index finger and spits the blood out in front of him, the blood
expands like a dome around him and glows “great” Maria says looking back
while running “exactly what I don’t need him to do” “Pegasus…” he calls out
summoning a unicorn beneath him.
“Lets see if you are fast enough now!!” he says as he rides the legendary
Pegasus enclosing on her faster “dammit” Maria calls out as she looks at her
timer on her arm, “three, two, one” she counts down before opening another
portal in front of her and dives into it while Pegasus and his rider jumps
through it. “I lost visual of the intruder” he reports back to the offices on his
radio while continuing on down the road, “intruder has been spotted in Sector
B” news come through to him as Pegasus accelerate towards Sector B. Maria
jumps out of a portal and roles onto the ground in an alley “ten seconds left
before I can open another portal” she says to her self “over here!!” a security
officer shouts out from a distant, “dammit” she says as she gets back on her
feet and runs out of the alley.”
“Captain Themba do you have any visual of her?” a radio transmission
comes through to him while he hovers in the sky looking down at her “I see
her” he replies with a deep voice and pulls out a bow from his back followed
by a laser arrow. “Stand still” he asks her “you would prefer that I kill you
instead of just wounding you…” “Please understand I am here on urgent
business, the sake of the Unity headquarters is at risk- but Captain Themba
lunches the laser arrow towards her before she could finish her words. After
the smoke has cleared from where the arrow landed he moves closer to see if
he has hit his target “I wouldn’t expect it to be easy when my opponent is
someone that has control over a convict such Emily” he says as he flies over
the alley walls towards the road.
“Just two more sectors to go then I will be in the second district” she says
to her self as more security personnel cross paths with her, she opens a portal
between her and them and dives into it. A laser arrow follows her into the
portal and out of another portal a few blocks away from where she jumped
into it, she crash lands on the ground with a flesh wound mark on her leg from
the arrow “why doesn’t anybody want to listen to what I have to say? I am not
here to cause any trouble!!” she shouts out while healing her leg.
“It won’t be easy finding Maria…” Captain Themba says while he lands in
front of Pegasus” “Shane send the word out to all the personnel that are
available that we have a level seven emergency breach” he says to Shane –the
head of security- “is that really necessary?” he asks as Captain Themba turns
around and looks at him. “Very well captain” Shane says while pulling out his
radio and making the announcement, as Maria finishes to heal her wound she
takes a few minutes of breather while leaning against a wall.
“MARIA!!!” a female voice aggressively shouts out from a distance “I
don’t know how you were able to come back here, but what I know is that you
are not wanted here and that you are trespassing” “Nelly” Maria replies “out
of all people here I would expect you to please listen to what I have to say”
“you are here illegally and it is Captain Nelly now” she says to her while
putting the palms of her hands together to summon her helper “we might have
been close but I still have to obey the law” her eyes turn red as she summons a
phoenix. “All that hard work actually paid up…you finally found a helper that
suits your emotional standard” she says while looking at the flaming bird
above her.
“I worked hard to get to this stage unlike you that broke the law and helped
a convict escape” “the law?” Maria asks “you are choosing the law over our
friendship?” she asks “our friendship ended the day you left…” Captain Nelly
answers as she blinks her red eyes ordering the phoenix to attack. Maria jumps
out of the way of the approaching flames coming from the phoenix’ mouth and
lands on the roof of a building, Captain Nelly appears behind her and tries to
strike her with a kick but Maria blocks it by erecting a small sand wall
between her and Captain Nelly’s leg. She uses more sand from the palm of her
hand to blow Nelly away from her and mounts her against a wall.
“This sand… are you in full control of Emily?” Nelly asks while Maria
looks at the phoenix fading away, she walks towards her and stops in front of
her “I am sorry old friend but you have to understand I am here to come warn
the grand master about something, so please just stick around here for a few
minutes until I am done.” She tries to place her hand on Nelly’s soft cheek but
is disrupted by a laser arrow that bounces off the blanket of sand that mounted
Captain Nelly against a wall “you will regret moving the last time” Captain
Themba says while stretching a bow with an arrow attached to it.
 He fires the arrow towards Maria as she erects a wall of sand in front of
her; the arrow pierces into the wall and stretches into her left shoulder. She
slowly slides her shoulder out of the laser arrow and falls off the building into
a portal, “what are you doing?!?!?” Captain Nelly shouts at Captain Themba
“that is my best friend you almost killed Mr Serious” she says to him while he
lands in front of her. “Nelly” he calls her out with his deep voice “are you
hurt?” he asks her as she replies with an embarrassed blush “n…no” she
replies as he slices through the sand with his bow to free her “good don’t let
your self get caught again” he says to her while taking flight leaving her with a
red embarrassed face.
In the next and last sector: Maria used her sand to mount ice formed beasts
wearing battle armour to the ground while running from their commander
busy shooting ice blades at her, “Zandile I don’t want to fight please
understand that” Pegasus stop in her path at a distance as Shane alights from
him, he uses his sword to draw an x mark in front of him “star scream” he says
while piercing the tip of his sword into the centre of the x as an uncountable x
marks shaped the same shoot towards Maria. She jumps out of the way in her
final portal leaving the x marks to clash with the ice blades from Captain
Zandile.
She collapse out of the portal and lays on the ground in front of the
entrance of the headquarters while she tries to heal her left shoulder, a hand
full of security personnel charges towards her as she sandwiches them all with
two blocks of sand erected from the ground. The singled block shatters to the
ground as frozen sand sculptures of the guards remain standing. She gets back
on her feet and slowly walks towards the entrance, roots and branches slowly
grow out of the concrete beside her with blood red roses growing quickly on
them. “Let me guess…” she says to her self while looking at the single winged
angel slowly landing in front of the headquarters entrance “this is as far as you
go…” he says to her while pointing his long katana at her, “you don’t
understand my reason for being here so please step out of my way” Maria says
to him.
“You were always so loyal but seems like Emily changed all of that right
after you two bonded together” he says “Keith…” she calls his name as her
patience runs out “please move out of the way” she says while running
towards him and erecting a wave of sand, “your luck has run out with me” he
says to her while freezing the wave before him. “MARIA!!!!” Captain Nelly
furiously screams from a distance drawing her attention from her current
opponent. “Big mistake” Captain Keith says to her while trying to paralyze her
by pointing his left palm at her, she uses a dome of sand to protect herself.
He walks towards the dome and brushes his palm against the sand “stop
holding back you are not defeated so easily” he says as the dome starts to
crack, “just as I thought” the dome explodes and Emily stretches her arms
wide open “enough” a voice calls out from behind the headquarters doors. The
doors slowly open as the grand master walks out “what is the meaning of all
this noise?” he asks. “Sir…” Maria says to him as Emily disappears behind her
“there is a big problem that needs to be addressed in front of the council and
captains evolving a dangerous fugitive that was suppose to be executed”.
“You forced your self into the district and cause trouble, you embarrassed
all the security personnel and made captains run all around after you and now
you expect us to help you with Emily?” Captain Keith asks her. “I can handle
Emily she is not a problem to me” “call a council meeting at once” the
grandmaster orders while walking back into the headquarters main building.
“Do not forget that you are still the enemy here” Captain Keith says to
Maria “if anything suspicious happens I will make sure that you are executed
personally by me” he follows the grand master into the head quarters as Maria
follows him. The grand master, the council members, four of the available
captains, and the head of security all assemble around a long table “Shane” the
grand master calls his name “would you care to explain how Maria managed
to slip into the districts so easily while you claim to lead the best security
personnel available?” he asks him.
“Grand master, this was once Maria’s home and she is in full control of the
escaped convict Emily” “that is an unacceptable answer” one of the council
members comment “when you were elected by a vote of all the council
members you promised us your very best services and we all expected that
from you” “it will not happen again” Shane apologies while looking at Maria.
“You should be captured and punished severely” the grand master says to
Maria “knowing all of this you still risk coming here why?” he asks her, she
looks down in silent for a few seconds and answers with a question “has the
grand master been informed of what has been happening on earth for the last
month?”. “A war broke out without our knowledge, the rogue angels attacked
earth I felt all the spirits and I apologies deeply for your loss.
How ever I sense that this is not the main reason why you are here” he
answers “correct” she says “I am here to report a serious matter of an old
prisoner that was said to be executed long ago yet a few days ago I crossed
paths with her”. “By ‘her’ you are referring to a female prisoner?” Captain
Keith asks, “Yes” Maria replies “Coral…” as the court room goes silent while
some of the council members softly whisper to each other.
“Impossible…” Keith interferes “I was there on the execution day” he says
as Maria turns her attention to him “I saw her in full skin, wearing the same
clothing as the day of her capture”. “Where is she currently?” the grand master
ask “caged inside her doppelganger” Maria answers “very well” the grand
master says as he arise from his seat followed by everyone else “the
doppelganger will be captured and executed before the end of the day.”
“Please wait” Maria pleads to the council and grand master “she is only an
innocent little girl-” “she is the doppelganger of a very dangerous felon” one
of the council members interferes “I have no sorrow for traitors especially
those that make a nuisance of the Unity personnel, you two shall be captured
along side your helper”. “very well I now understand how things are done
around here” she says to them while Shane wraps chains around her wrists.
“Take her to the cells I want her watched all around the clock until the
doppelganger is captured and sentenced in front of me and the council
members who is willing to keep watch of Maria?” “I will watch her” a voice
answers as the court room doors open”. “Must you be reminded every time
court is in session of the dress code and time?” Captain Keith asks the late
captain –Richard- barging in. “I will keep an eye on her and make sure
nothing happens to her” he says as the grand master knots his head at him.
As Captain Richard herds Maria down the passage towards the prison cells:
he receives a peak from her after every second step taken “so that little quiet
rookie girl actually turned out to be stubborn who would have guessed it?” he
asks her. “Why did you volunteer to watch me?” she asks “because I had
nothing better to do n lets face it, paper work is not my thing”. He herds her
till the prison gate as it slowly opens and allows the darkness of the prison
belly to swallow them, “here is your new temporary apartment it’s a pity I
could not get you a funky exciting roommate” he says while the prison
wardens separate Emily from her and tie up her hole body in the cell next to
Maria’s.
“Dinner is at five” Captain Richard says to her “I am after all guarding you
so I might as well join you for dinner so do not be late” she looks down in
silence trying to figure out how she is going to warn the others about the
danger that lays ahead. A rat snake slowly nears Emily and looks her deep in
the eyes “I wouldn’t get to close if I were you” Maria says to the snake
changing its form into a naked man “she normally does not get along with men
that well”. “Hmm…” the snake man says “I have never seen the sand pixi with
my cold eyes before…I must be blessed” as he gets on his feet and looks her
deep in the eyes.
She opens her eyes as her bright pupils burns the man leaving him with
patches of heat rash all over his body, “I warned you” Maria says to him while
Emily tilts her head, “how did you manage to tame such power?” he asks
Maria. “It is called a bond, not everybody can perfect it especially a scum like
you” voices are heard coming inside the cold cells as the visitor turns into a
snake once more and swirls away “coward as always”.
Captain Richard returns with a plate of food followed by Captain Keith
they both stop at the corner of the cell as Captain Keith whispers something
into Captain Richards ear, “I understand” he replies. He approaches her with a
big smile “look at what I made for you” he says with an excited attitude “you
are going to love it, it is rice with chicken stew and some green and yellow
stuff I found in the fridge cooked literally from the bottom of my heart” he
says while throwing his hands in the sky.
“Well eat up what are you waiting for?” he says while unchaining her “I
have a few paper work to go through so I will come check up on you after an
hour okay” he says just before running out of the cell and leaving it unlocked.
Maria gets on her feet and step over the plate of food walking towards the cell
gate and walking out of it, “what are you up to Richard” she asks her self
softly while walking towards the cell next door and breaking out Emily “lets
go” she says. A huge explosion comes from a portion of the prison as Maria
runs out of it and dives into a portal, “good…just as we expected her to do”
Captain Keith says while looking down from the top of the headquarters
offices.

Chapter eight: The doppelganger’s arrest

She jumps out of a final portal and lands in the hide out where she left
Nadia and the rest of the commanders “how did it go?” Khutso asks “I broke
out of prison I was arrested and I am ranked as a traitor all over the
headquarters. But that’s not the worst part: all of the captains have been issued
a warrant of arrest for you Nadia” she says while looking at Nadia. “Why
me?” she asks “do you remember what happened during your fight with
Alexander?” Khutso asks her “no I blacked out for a while and woke up here”
she answers, “when you were working on bonding with Wade and Jessica did
you meet someone in the darkness of your mind?” “Yes” Nadia answers “I
saw my self but in a much stronger form.
But in a way it didn’t feel like me either because we had a conversation…I
cant remember what it was about though it is all so blurry”, “relax” Maria says
“that is the reason why a warrant of arrest was issued. You are the
doppelganger of an arch angel called Coral” as she comes closer to them
“Coral is a big threat to the Unity headquarters and seeing that you have no
control over her makes her a bigger threat to the universe" as she tries to figure
out a plan: Zion receives feed back from the twins scouting the surrounding
outside. “We have visitors” he says as he gets on his feet “and they are not
locals they are way too powerful” he says to them, “Nadia stay in here” Maria
says to her “their main target is you" as the two commanders follow Maria out
of the hide out.
All of the highest ranked captains in the Unity districts are assembled
outside “I am surprised you could not figure out the plan all along” Captain
Keith says to her “your cell being left open, the security guards not being
available in the prison section that you were being held” “you made our
mission easier and brought us straight to the doppelgangers hide out" Captain
Themba says to her.
“There is something strange here…” Captain Richard says to Captain Keith
“there is an unusual energy that I am getting from the other two” he says while
looking at Zion and Khutso, “you finally outsmarted me…” Maria says to
Captain Keith and the other Captains. “We come with an offer for you”
Captain Themba says “hand the doppelganger over and you will be reinstated
as one of the captains in the Unity Headquarter”. Maria looks at him and looks
back down to the ground, she uses her hand to seal the hide out in a hut-like
dome of sand “you do not understand, this girl is confused and does not even
know what is nesting in her. If you want to get to her than you will have to go
through me first” she says as she summons Emily once more, “you must have
bumped your head if you are planning on taking on all five captains on your
own” Captain Zandile says.
“Not on her own!” Khutso says as she snaps her fingers next to her head,
the fully healed giant appears behind her surprising all of the captains. A green
smoke surrounds Zion as the twins take their place beside him, “what is this?”
Captain Themba asks “are these actual helpers? And how can there be
commanders on earth that we do not have records of?”. “This is your final
warning” Maria tells them “leave here or face the consequences”, Captain
Keith takes a few steps forward and faces Khutso “who are you and where do
you get the power to control such a gate keeper?” he asks her.
“He is my other half, and I would not get any closer if I was you” she
replies as Rudy’s purple aura glows behind her “than I guess you are not going
to tell me how you managed to control those twins either…” he looks at Zion
getting a grin reply. He pulls his sword out from behind him as he takes a step
forward, “you are all under arrest for hiding a fugitive and for commanding
unknown-” Rudy’s aura glows even brighter as he growls. Captain Themba
pulls out his bow and arrow “everybody prepare your selves” he says to the
rest of the captains as he stretches the laser arrow and fires it towards Rudy,
the arrow bounces off Rudy’s chess and angers him even more.
Captain Nelly summons her Phoenix as Captain Zandile also summons two
of her ice beast from her army “you will not get away as easy as the last time”
she says to Maria, the ice beasts attack Rudy as Zion’s twins dash towards
Captain Themba while he fires his laser arrows at their teleporting bodies.
“You might be my best friend but you are still a wanted fugitive back at the
headquarters” Captain Nelly says to Maria, Emily jumps into the air followed
by the flaming bird exchanging dust and flames in the sky. Captain Nelly
draws Maria’s attention by dive tackling her to the ground; Captain Keith
jumps over them and faces the sand dome nesting Nadia.
The two ogres step in front of the dome trying to prevent Captain Keith
“Maria has clearly reached beyond expectations…to summon such legendary
creatures such as ogres…” he says as the ogres charge towards him “I will
send you back to your homes quickly” he says while piercing his katana
through the first ogre that reaches him. He points his index finger towards the
second ogre and shoots a red rose leaf through his heart, the first ogre drops to
his knees as Captain Keith slowly pulls his sword out his heart. “Its nothing
personal” he says while he faces the dome and points his katana towards it
“diamond rose cutter” he calls out as a red twisting rose shaped energy blast
shoots out of his katana and drills easily through the thick sand. He slowly
enters the hide out and allows the darkness to wrap its self around him like a
blanket.
Ariela and Kush take turns trying to punch their daggers into Captain
Themba’s skin as he dodges them and lands on the ground at a safe distance,
“not good enough” he says to them while he reaches for a laser arrow behind
his back; but is disturbed by Zion with his quick kick boxing combo attacks.
The phoenix blows fire out of its mouth against a sand barrier protecting
Emily while Rudy exchanges blows with the ice beasts ganging up on him, he
grabs one of them by the face and throws him against another while two more
try to grab him from behind.
Captain Zandile walks towards Khutso as she slowly creates a force field
around her, “I might look blind to you but I can feel your body heat nearing
me” Khutso says to her while she tries to touch her force field, Rudy kicks one
of the ice beasts towards Captain Zandile as she jumps out of the way leaving
the beast to bounce of Khutso’s force field. “This beast is unbelievably
powerful and fast for his size, where does he come from? There has never
been any record of any of the helpers that we are fighting here excluding
Emily” she says as she looks down at the battle field. She takes a look at the
dome and notices a drilled hole in it “what is taking him so long?” she asks as
she dives down with her sword out trying to smash Khutso’s force field.
In the darkness of the dome: Captain Keith faces Wade and Jessica as they
shadow Nadia, “do not waist your lives” he says to them “the both of you
could be very useful to the Unity Nation” he walks towards them dragging his
katana behind him leaving a trail as Wade draws Vendera. “The legendary
Vendera…” Captain Keith says as he admires it “I am honoured to finally
seeing it. It is pretty strange that an assassin can yield such a huge sword
though” “Not one step further…” Wade says to him as his sword begins to
glow.
Nadia gets on her feet and puts her hand on Jessica’s shoulder, the two
unity angels start to glow bright at once drawing Captain Zandile’s attention
outside “now what?” she asks “I wouldn’t want to find out if I were you”
Khutso says. Captain Keith drills a hole at the top of the dome and quickly
jumps out of it as the transformed Nadia yielding Vendera follows him out,
“this sudden change of power…” he asks as the rest of the captains jump into
the air to assist him. “So the rumours were true…” Captain Themba says “be
careful” Captain Keith tells them “judging from what I saw in the dome she is
much stronger than she looks, Captain Zandile get us some privacy” he asks
her as she creates a huge thick ice dome around them.
Captain Nelly begins to shiver as she looks at Captain Zandile in a very
pernicious way “couldn’t you really choose a different type of power?” she
asks her, “Coral!!!” Captain Keith calls out to Nadia “you are under arrest for
all the universal charges held against you and for escaping from prison,
surrender now or face the might of the law”. “My name is Nadia” she replies
“and you can not accuse me of something that I do not know of!” she says as
Vendera glows in her hands, “you are not serious…” Captain Themba says as
they all surround her. “Surrender now to avoid any fatal injuries later on” he
says to her once more, Captain Keith pulls back and lets the other captains
handle her as they attack her one at a time.
First to come was Captain Themba as Nadia uses Vendera to block his bow;
she uses the back of her sword to bash it against Captain Nelly while jumping
out of the way of Captain Zandile’s ice blade. She bounces off the roof of the
dome and dives through between them missing Captain Zandile’s face with
her knees, Captain Nelly grows flaming wings on her back and follows Nadia
as they engage in high speed combat with Captain Zandile and Captain
Themba giving her a helping hand.
One-by-one they bash against the ice wall leaving Nadia hovering above
them, “what do you want from me?” she asks while taking a peak over her
shoulder at Captain Keith. “You are nesting a fugitive inside of you” he says
“surrender and let us help you” he says once more while enclosing on her,
Rudy bashes his huge sword against the ice dome trying to break it from the
outside. “It would not be wise to try and fight me” he says to her “that swing
you manage to land on me back in your hide out was just shear luck”.
 Nadia turns around as Vendera glows and dashes towards him as he side
shifts out of her way and hits her with his elbow just above her cervical
vertebrae part forcing her into the ice wall, “you are under arrest for refusing
to assist us in apprehending the wanted Coral” he says to her while Captain
Themba wraps a thin layered net around her hole body and throwing her over
his shoulder. They all look down at Maria and the rest before disappearing, the
ice dome begins to crack as huge pieces of it break off and bashes on the
ground forcing Maria and the other two commanders to take cover, Rudy
looks up in the sky assisting Khutso to try and find Nadia “their all gone” she
says “and they took Nadia with.”
The assigned team to apprehend Coral’s doppelganger all arrive at the
Unity main gate: surrounding Nadia as they enter the first district, “where am
I” Nadia asks but none of the captains answer her as Captain Themba pulls her
every few minutes. The district towns people all assemble outside to see the
most spoken of female villain’s doppelganger, they walk with her through the
district as she looks down to the ground embarrassed by the way she is
apprehended by the captains.
She looks up as mothers hold on tightly to their children and towns men
shadowing their families, as they walk through the first district and enter the
second while Captain Shane and a few security members wait for them in the
second district “exactly like the original” Shane says as he looks at her from
head to toe, “and her strength is enough to match the original too”.
“Take her to the prison and keep a close eye on her” Captain Keith says
while handing Vendera over to Shane, more security personnel join the
gathering and assist Shane to escort Nadia to the prison. “Go to your homes,
freshen up and get some rest, tomorrow is the doppelgangers’ hearing”
Captain Keith says to the rest of the captains before teleporting. “You herd it
from the boss’ mouth guys” Captain Nelly says as she turns around and makes
her way home, Captain Themba takes flight as Captain Zandile follows.
Shane nears the prison with the assisting security personnel keeping close
watch over Nadia, “Captain Richard” he calls out to Captain Richard leaning
against the prison main gate “don’t you have paper work to do?” “Not really”
Captain Richard answers “I herd we have a guess checking in so I finished
early at the office” he says while cleaning his glasses and putting them back
on. “I would say she looks like the real Coral but unfortunately I do not know
how Coral looks like” he says once again as Nadia pass him lead into the
prison. The huge double chained prison gates open as the chains rattle sending
shivers down her spine “welcome to your new part time home, unfortunately
we had a few difficulties with our last escaped prisoner how ever I will
personally make sure it does not happen again” he says while looking at
Captain Richard.
As the night encloses and the sun slowly sinks into the back of the woods,
the snake man that visited Maria during her prison time visits the king of the
rogue angels to suggest a proposal to him. “I hear you are the king that seeks
vengeance” he says as he slowly leans against the kings throne, “you are brave
sneaking into my temple uninvited” the king says “I should have you hung
with your skin pealed off with a hot blade” “no need for any violence” the
snake man replies, “I am simply here for your own benefit my lord”.
“What can I benefit from someone that grew up in the Unity nation?” the
king asks “King Bradley’s ticket to the entrance of the headquarters, revenge
is what you crave is it not?” the snake man asks. “What my lord is not aware
of is that there is a lot of drama taking place at the headquarters involving their
new special prisoner…” he says as he draws King Bradley’s interest. “You get
me into the headquarters, what’s in it for you?” the King asks “the blood of a
commander captain or a simple commander would be delicious too”, silence
strike the snake mans attention for a while “my lord?” he asks while peaking
around the empty throne.
King Bradley appears behind him and wraps his hand around the snake
mans neck picking him up, “if you dare lie to me I will crush you like the
tooth pick you are” “no…n...n…no lies…my lord” he gives a stuttering reply
“impress me with your plan” he says as he drops him to the ground and returns
to his throne. The snake man gives a dirty smile while getting back on his feet
“most of their special security personnel are watching the prison because of
their special prisoner, so the ones that roam the streets are a walk over”. King
Bradley brushes on his beard and gives the snake man an answer “very well,
we will make a move at dawn and you better be telling me the truth or else…”
“Do not worry my lord” he interferes “let me be on my way to go prepare your
arrival” he says before shape shifting into a rat snake and leaving the rogue
temple.
As dawn encloses he approaches Nadia in the form of a king cobra
dragging a heavy filled tail and looks her dead in the eyes, Nadia sticks her
arm out in front of her and separates them with an electric force field “so she
knows sorcery too” he says to her “you are a special commander having the
best of both an assassin and a sorcerer”. “What are you?” Nadia asks “I am
your ticket to freedom” he answers “what use is it waiting for your death hour
if you can at least try to persuade the Unity nation to trust you”, she looks at
him as he forces Vendera out of his mouth in the most painful way possible.
“In a few minutes the Unity districts will be under attack by the rogue
angels, that will be your chance to show them they can depend on you when
days are dark” Nadia gets up and clears the force field as she walks towards
Vendera and the snake man, what do you benefit from all of this?” Nadia asks
“I have suffered the same fait as you have” he explains to her. “The deference
is that I was forced to watch while my whole family was murdered from
underneath a bed, I managed to escape and wandered into emptiness of the
world while the people I looked up to neglected me, nearing death by
starvation: I came across a forbidden plant and gobbled it all in my mouth that
is where I was given this power to shape into any snake on the face of the
planet.”
As Nadia picks Vendera up she feels her power returning to her quickly
“the King of Rogue angels was killed a few days ago” she says to the snake
man “Alexander was just a puppet, the real kings power and domination will
be felt in a few minutes and the only one that has the power to face him is
you” he says to her with a dirty smile. While the two wait facing each other in
the single cell: a stranger walks up to the main gate of the Unity Nation
wearing a black hoody jacket, he stops in front of the gate and faces the guards
blocking the way. “Who are you and what is your business here?” one of the
guards asks him as the stranger breaks out in laughter looking up at the sky.
He faces them once more and sticks his hands out while the hoody jacket
exposes his face.
“BLAZE!!!” one of the guards scream out as the rogue angel blows flames
out of the palms of his hands setting the guards and the gate on fire “I’M
BACK!!!!” the psychotic Blaze screams back at them while walking towards
the burning gate. “It has begun” the snake man says to Nadia while a huge
explosion takes place in the central district, a huge praying mantas lands on
the main road of the district slicing the buildings and vendors with its huge
blade shaped arms. Its commander –Reeds- stands on its back proudly with
her arms folded as the mantas walks down the road, “the time has come for
you to make things right by avenging your family and gaining the trust of the
Unity nation” the snake villain says to Nadia as she gets up on her feet.
“Protect the headquarters!” Shane screams at the available security
personnel while pointing at the headquarters, as a huge number of rogue
soldier’s start flooding the districts: the commanders become more panicked.
Captain Themba fires a laser arrow at the oversized Mantas marching down
district B facing the headquarters “it is definitely going to take more than that
to get in our way…” Reeds say to the hovering captain in the air “it is clearly
not your lucky day crossing paths with me” Captain Themba replies. In district
A: Captain Zandile is surrounded by snow as she faces off with the mighty
Blaze, “the last time I had to use this defence I was facing a more diabolic
enemy than you, so do me a favour and do not hold back” she says to him as
he steps on the cold snow and melts his boots in.
 The phoenix takes to the sky and waves flames down to the rogue soldiers
with its wings, while its commander –Nelly- takes on five of the soldiers on
the ground. Some of the soldiers invade the prison yard as they face Captain
Richard with daggers in between his fingers, “I might strike you as a cheesy
guy but believe me when I tell you that I am not a force to messed around
with” he says to them while lighting a cigarette. “Oh I would love to introduce
my partner in crime to you” he says as a black Egyptian scorpion with dark
purple venom dripping from the tip of its tail walking through the huge prison
doors. Pegasus runs through the district streets while the huge praying mantas
runs after him swinging its huge blade-like arms at him.
“What is going on here?” Maria asks while she arrives on a mountain
through a portal followed by Khutso and Zion, the three look down at district
A set on fire and rushes down the mountain, “your time has arrived to curve
your name in the histories of the Unity Society” the snake man says to Nadia
as her eyes glow a blood red colour while she looks up to the prison roof. An
explosion takes place on the roof as Nadia takes a step on it and looks down at
the districts turned into blooded battle fields, as the snake man’s words repeat
them selves in her head: she swings Vendera as a red striped light swings out
of it and slices through a handful of soldiers.
“I will protect the council and the grand master with my life” Captain Keith
says as he drags his katana out of the headquarter; he seals the doors with huge
rose branches with sharp shining thorn.

Chapter nine: I am Nadia!

The mood of the weather changes to a more intense behaviour as Captain

Keith’s single wing opens blowing a huge energy wave towards his opponents,
his katana rattles in his hand signifying the hunger of combat “I will turn all of
you into forgotten memories!” he says to them while running towards the
handful army. Nadia finds her self surrounded by more rogue soldiers as
Vendera cuts through them like a hot butter knife, a little shiver dashes down
her spine while two swords dive past her and into two soldiers. “You?” she
asks as she looks up to the sky into the eyes of her death angel “you are
suppose to die by my sword” the death angel says to her “but in order for that
time to come I have to keep you alive” she teleports to the ground and appears
beside Nadia with her sword drawn.
“This does not change the fact that we are enemies” she says once more as
she side steps and bashes her sword into one the soldiers’ weapons, Nadia
joins her by taking on the other heap of soldiers that were approaching using
her lighting speed . Captain Zandile’s ice beast army do their best to crush as
much of the soldiers as possible while she points her sword towards Blaze
blowing ice steam against his fire shield “can’t you try something that might at
least look threatening?” he asks her as he walks forward towards her “my
shield cannot be penetrated by anything, not even a little steam like this”. He
swings his flaming sword against her ice shield as it melts through it forcing
Captain Zandile to retreat a few steps back, “that was a close one” she says as
she puts her palms on the ground and erects another ice beast with a huge log
like weapon “great another toy to play with” Blaze says while dodging the
huge log swung towards him.
Two more beasts join in and swing their weapons at him also as he jumps
into the sky and sends out a huge heat wave; melting the three beasts, “any
other little tricks up your sleeves?” he ask “more than you can imagine” she
replies as she summons an army of ogres followed by an ice dragon with sharp
ice wings, she jumps on the dragons neck and looks down at Blaze “lets make
this a bit more interesting what do you say?” she ask as he replies with a smile
“Music to my soul”. Maria, Khutso, and Zion assist at the gate assaulting
soldiers and are disturbed by the ground being rattled by foot steps, “Rudy
turn around…” Khutso says to him “show me what is coming” he turns around
as the trees also begin to rattle. A huge juggernaut yielding an oversized Jack
hammer gently pushes the long stretching trees out of his way and walks
towards the main gate.
Rudy charges towards him trying to bash his sword against the juggernaut’s
armour but is slapped with a back hand out of the way as the juggernaut
continues on to the gate, as he lifts his heavy jack hammer above his helmet
head: he pulls it back down and slams it into the ground, forming a huge crack
stretching into the first district. As the giant nears the gate: Emily jumps up
into the sky and pulls out a handful of sand pouring it on the juggernaut’s
shoulders burning him like acid, he looks at his shoulders through his helmet
and dusts the sand of like dirt while looking at Emily. She forms a force field
of sand around her as the juggernaut bashes it open with his head, and wraps
his huge thick fingers around the pixi’s body gently squeezing the breath out
of her lungs, “Khutso!!!” Maria calls out “HELP!!!” as she watches Emily
placing her small hands on the giants thick fingers.
Khutso regains conscious as she commands Rudy to help; he bashes his
sword simultaneously onto the giants back but makes no harm, “Emily…”
Maria calls into in pain while Emily looks back down to her with small cracks
forming on her face “don’t die…” as the juggernaut becomes fed up with
Rudy: he drops Emily and turns his attention to him. “Rudy watch out!!”
Khutso screams as the juggernaut grabs hold of him and throws him into a
building like a toy, he runs towards the building and runs into it as he kicks
Rudy out of the building before he hits the ground. Captain Keith stands
surrounded by dead bodies of rogue soldiers as he spots the giant throwing
Rudy around like a Frisbee “that is the blind girls helper” he says “but what is
it doing here?” as he teleports towards the battle between the juggernaut and
Rudy. Captain Themba is cornered by Reeds as she drills her fists none stop
into his stomach while Pegasus gets wounded by the mantas tossing his rider
behind a ditch, Captain Zandile heals her flesh wounds from Blaze while on
her knees as Captain Nelly is over crowded by rogue soldiers.
“This is a disaster” Captain Keith says to him self “the Unity nation is
being completely walked over by the enemy…” Zion lights a role of marijuana
and blows the green smoke out filling it around Captain Zandile and Blaze.
“What is this bad scent?” she asks herself while struggling to look around “my
old friend” Blaze says as he also scouts around, Gabriel is summoned behind
him as he shakes his dreadlock filled skull from side to side, burping green
smoke after every few minutes “where is the coward hiding?” Blaze asks as he
looks around facing Gabriel.
“This weird smoke…what are you planning?” Captain Zandile asks Blaze
as he looks back at her over his shoulder, “so you do not know each other?” he
replies with a question of his own. Gabriel swings his long nails towards Blaze
as he uses his flaming sword to block the attack, “it is a good thing I
remember each and every one of your sneak attacks” he says to Gabriel while
facing the big skeleton Rasta. Without any time wasting: Zion dives out of the
green surrounding smoke trying to spear tackle Blaze but dives through him
and roles on Captain Zandile’s blanket of snow on the ground. “You…” she
says to Zion getting on his feet in front of her, “you are the cause of all of
this?” she asks him “Pretty lady” he says to her while tying his dreadlocks that
are disturbing him.
“This is not the time, we can discuss this another time over a role of good
blunt”, she walks closer to him and joins his side facing Blaze. “Very well I
guess we are forced partners in this case than” she says as she summons more
ice beast warriors behind her, “impress me. Show me that you are worth
trusting in the unity nation” she says to him while Blaze cracks a smile at them
and calls them over with his index finger. The battle of speed continues
between Nadia and her befriended death angel as they ravish all the
threatening soldiers and turn their attention to the Juggernaut, “what are you
planning?” she asks Captain Keith while they hover behind him “are you not
suppose to be in prison?” he asks Nadia as he turns around.
“This is not the time to choose between friend or foe” Nadia replies as they
all look down at Rudy trying hard to fight back at the giant, “that thing is the
biggest threat at the moment” he says “we have to make sure he does not get
any deeper into the districts”. Teleporting down to the battle field: he bashes
his katana into the juggernaut’s helmet but makes no affect on it; Nadia looks
back at the death angel and dives down towards the Juggernaut to assist the
others. A purple poison is sprayed onto Reeds praying mantas and squeezes it
tight as she jumps off of it and into the sky “where the hell does this come
from?” she asks as she looks around and spots the fast approaching black
scorpion, she dodges two daggers thrown at her from a clean distance as
Captain Richard attempts to use his remaining daggers to pierce them into her.
“How sneaky of you” she says soon after avoiding him, the scorpion and
mantas exchange heavy blows on the ground while Captain Richard and Reeds
also waist no further time. She pulls her huge axe out and swings it at him a
few times as he throws daggers at every opportunity he receives, “it is against
my pride to kill someone weaker than me but you leave me no choice!” Reeds
say to him as she teleports behind him and kicks him on his neck towards the
ground.
“Lightning blade!!!” she screams as she swings the blades down towards
captain Richard, she lifts her head and looks the death angel deep in the eyes
“have you decided on which side of the fence you are sitting yet?” Reeds ask
her. “I am following my own destiny now” the death angel replies “Alexander
was the only person holding me behind from what I want and now that he is
dead means that I am free”, Reeds gives a cocky sigh as she gets a firm grip on
her axe. The praying mantas jumps up in the air behind the death angel and
swings its blade arms at her “time wasting” the death angel says as she
teleports behind the mantas and dashes through its body with her sword “you
clearly are underestimating me aren’t you…” Reeds say to her “killing my
helper does not make me weaker.”
She swings her huge axe at the death angel forcing her to use her sword to
block it; they both take part in a very intense battle in the air. As the war
intensifies outside of the headquarters offices: the corridors are flooded by
rogue soldiers as they all head towards the office of the grandmaster, some of
the council personnel try to keep the doors closed but are over powered by the
soldiers storming in and kneeling. “Well…” King Bradley says as he walks
into the office between the kneeling soldiers “it is an honour to see my big
brother again” he says to the grandmaster, “I have been waiting for the day we
will finally be in the same room after all those year that we have been
separated…” “You are not welcome here!” the grandmaster says to him “you
have been band from the Unity district for your bad behaviour and not abiding
our laws.”
“Yes that is true” King Bradley replies, “however I am here on a different
occasion…I would love to host you at my temple for a reunion” he says to the
grandmaster rising from his chair, “I do not sip tea with the enemy no matter
the fact that we have the same blood” he answers. “You do not seem to
understand that this is not an invitation it is a must, I am not giving you any
options just a chance to keep your heart beating for a few days longer…” King
Bradley says before ordering his men to apprehend the grandmaster. “Tie all
the councillors up against each other and search the rest of the building, I want
all the personnel that are roaming the corridors to be brought in here and also
tied up” he says as he walks out the office.
The giant juggernaut growls while bashing his fists on his chest and
intensifying his aura and energy level to the next level, “after all our attacks,
how can he still have so much power left in him?” Nadia asks while Captain
Keith jumps out of the way of the heated aura waves and lands next to her. “It
is obvious that we can’t beat this guy so let’s rather try and lure him to the
forest before he brings the hole district down” Captain Keith says as they all
attack at once, Rudy charges towards the giant and dives his head into the
juggernaut’s chest while he concentrates on the two attacking from the sky.
Captain Keith disappears as Nadia charges down on her own and bashes her
sword into the juggernauts jack hammer, thorn filled roots wrap themselves
around him and pull them towards the main gate after Captain Keith bounces
his feet off of his helmet.
Rudy uses his strength to push the giant towards the gate but is unmatched
as the juggernaut gets his balance and stays strong on his feet: while picking
Rudy up -by grabbing his head- and tossing him a few steps away, while
breaking the roots from his feet. He gives another growl while swinging his
hammer against Nadia’s sword and into her stomach; he wickedly watches her
bouncing off the ground and into a cracked wall as it collapses onto her lower
body. “A giant like your self throwing around weaker opponents, how
shameful!” Captain Keith says while hovering down behind the juggernaut “I
am Keith Johnsons head captain of the Unity commanders, and you have made
the biggest mistake of cracking my pearls of life” he says as his aura glows, he
swings his katana violently releasing a white stripe from it as it smashes
against the juggernaut’s indestructible armour. “It might not be easy but you
are not a God, you have a weakness somewhere and I will find it” he says
while charging forward with his long blade and slams it numerously into the
giants chest while he patiently watches on, Khutso’s thin soft voice helps
Rudy regain his conscious as he gets on his feet with a rage rushing through
his veins towards his head, he gives a growl of bravery while stretching his
neck and picking up his sword.
He looks up into the heavens and growls loudly with waves from his aura
leaving his body and demolishing the nearing buildings, the juggernauts
attention is captured as he back hands captain Keith and faces Rudy, the
second round of giants begins as they bash their weapons against each other
with Rudy receiving the strength to match his giant foe. Nadia opens her eyes
from a distance and receives a blurry vision of the two giants fighting a few
feet in front of her and tries to focus he vision on a blood filled dress covering
something close by. She focuses on the face and notices that it is a little girl
that has just lost her life in the massacre that looks similar to her little sister,
Coral’s aura boils in her prison room as she grabs on tight onto her sword, her
anger is increased after every tear that drops of Nadia’s cheek while her door
knob fiddles on its own.
“Let me out…” she whispers to Nadia whole her eyes turn blood red “look
up into the sky and let me out…” she repeats as Nadia looks up into the cold
grey sky and spots Reeds fighting the death angel, a huge explosion of energy
extracts from Nadia’s body as her body glows brighter and brighter while
Coral’s clothes take form around her. With the transformation finished: she
jumps into the sky and stops between Reeds and the death angel “what are
you?” Reeds ask Coral while she swings her dark aura sword through the
disappearing body of the death angel, she turns her attention back to Reeds
and swings her swords towards her forcing Reeds to defend her self using her
double bladed axe.
She adds on a dome but Coral’s powerful sword shatters it like glass
without any serious effort, she swings it back against her double bladed axe
even harder as it rattles in Reeds hands. Blaze senses the difference in Nadia’s
powers while Reeds becomes manhandled in the sky, “what power is that?” he
asks as he summons a thick black smoky cloud around Gabriel, Zion, and
Captain Zandile. “Stick around in that for a few seconds” he says after diving
out of the roof of the black cloud, Coral shows no mercy for Reeds as she
pounds her leg numerously into her stomach.
“Such an enormous amount of power can do bad things in the wrong
hands” Blaze says while summoning his flaming shaped sword, “why don’t
you hand it over to me I would love to experiment with it sometimes”. Coral
turns around and faces him “this is a laughable, matter you are really going to
attack me with such a weak weapon?” she asks him “why don’t you just role
over and die that way you can be one less problem to deal with” his body gets
surrounded by flames being extracted from it while getting heated by his rage
“nobody insults me and has the last say” he says to her as he chargers towards
her and slams his flaming sword into hers.
The intense heat becomes too much for Corals sword to bear with as it
slowly burns through it, she pulls back after noticing it and teleports in time
while Reeds swings her huge double bit axe at her. “I call on a thousand
blades!” she screams while swinging the blades at all Corals disappearing
bodies, with in a blink of an eye: the original coral appears behind Blaze and
grabs hold of his shoulder “behind you!” Reeds screams at him as he swings
his flaming sword behind him against hers bashing her a few feet away. “If I
remember correctly you are the one that wanted a taste of my powers yet now
you are a spectator leaving the lady do all the work…” she says to him while
Reeds hovers next to him “clearly age has caught up with you, from what I
herd Coral does not waist time with chit-chat” he says as he teleports behind
her “you are right” she replies “I don’t waste time with talking so lets end this
quick”.
They both attack at the same time as Coral bounces her feet off of Reeds’
chest and swings her sword at Blazes face, “to late” she says to him after
cutting out his right eye “age does not make a difference, experience does” she
says as she knocks him to the ground with the back of her sword, one of
Reeds’ laser blades miss her shoulder by millimetres while she attacks. She
bashes her big double bid axe into Coral’s sword and engages with her in a
high speed battle of weapons, Blaze gets up on his feet but drops down to his
knees again and faces the ground while covering half of his blood dripping
face. The pain bearable to deal with as he faces the sky and gives a painful
scream, his black smoke barrier is weakened after every scream and clears for
Zion and Captain Zandile –hiding inside of Gabriel’s rib cage from the poison-
to see.
“What happened?” she asks while they look at the fallen Blaze in front of
them “stay inside” Zion says as he walks out of the rib cage towards Blaze.
“We are going to have to postpone this fight” he says to Zion while staring at
him with one open eye “but understand that next time we meet one of us has to
push up daisies” he says once more while a dome of fire closes him in and
melts to the ground.
As Zion and Captain Zandile looks up to the fight in the sky: Rudy hangs
on the juggernaut’s armour with his feet pushing against it while he hammers
his free fist into the giants helmet none stop, “this helper is actually matching
up against the juggernaut…” Captain Keith says while sitting against a broken
piece of a building wall looking at the fighting taking place in front of him.
“all of his defence is hidden within the blind girl such a huge sacrifice to make
by a helper”.
He looks up at the fight in the sky and stretches his eyes in shock
“Coral…” he says “she really is still alive” he says once more while Coral and
Reeds’ weapons bash into each other shattering sparks all over in the sky.
Coral gives another swing but with more energy added breaking the one half
of the double bit axe, her second swing is blocked by the remaining half but
still has enough force to send Reeds diving down head first to the ground. She
teleports and slides on the ground while swinging her sword over her shoulder
in time to cut Reeds’ head clean of her shoulders, the movement is so quick
that she slides all the way to Captain Keith “we meet again” she says while
rising to her feet and walking towards him.
Fear dashes up his spine as he pushes his body back dragging his broken
foot along “you were leading the young team that arrested me and handed me
over for execution” she says to him while pointing her blood dripping sword at
his throat. “Well after that day you should have expected this day to come I
suppo-” she swallows the rest of her words while grabbing her throat and
closing her eyes, after taking a few steps back and dropping to her knees while
swinging her sword recklessly around her: Nadia slams the door in the
darkness while whispering enough at it. “You useless girl” she speaks to her
self “stop letting your kindness be taken advantage of let me take control” She
screams while her aura forms layers of rings around her, “A command seal?”
Captain Keith asks him self with even more shock “Coral is a helper?
Impossible” he says once more.
She opens her red eyes as Nadia’s pitch black long hair re-grows on her
head, the rings hug her body tight and after a little explosion: Nadia takes
control of her body wearing Jessica’s clothes and holding Vendera. “I hope it’s
not me that hurt you” she says to Captain Keith while trying to get up on her
feet. “Sorry that was just a little interference, it will not happen again” she
says to him, Rudy and the Juggernaut’s fight is slowly driven to the outside of
the Unity districts as they bash their weapons against each other, “the enemy is
retreating” Captain Themba says to Captain Keith while landing next to him.
Khutso walks after Rudy and the juggernaut as they continue to exchange
lethal blows outside towards the woods “that’s enough Rudy” Khutso says “let
him go that is enough for now” she says once more as the two giants face each
other for the last few seconds “Rudy…” Khutso calls his name out again as he
reverses backwards towards her. The juggernaut turns his back on them and
walks into the woods while Rudy looks at him with a heart filled with rage “I
do not like the feeling I am getting from you Rudy please calm down” she
says while they walk back into the aftermath district.
“Captain Keith!” Captain Zandile calls out a few meters away walking
towards them and hanging on Zion’s shoulders, “what is the damage report?”
he asks Captain Themba “we lost many security personnel and civilians too.
Shane and the remaining are checking the districts as we speak so I will have a
casualty report from him in the next coming minutes” “I can add someone on
that list of casualties…” Captain Zandile says while tears glide down her
cheeks “Captain Richard was slain by one of the rogue angels…”
 They all have a moment of silence and give time for the shocking news to
sink in “a report just came in” Captain Themba breaks the silence barrier
amongst them “the grand master has been captured.”

Chapter Ten: Brothers reunion

Two soldiers drag the grandmaster on his knees up the stairs towards the
Kings throne; he regains his conscious and gets a blurry vision of the stairs
passing by from underneath him. “Welcome brother” King Bradley says to
him while the soldiers drag him into the room, “forgive my men for the
uncomfortable travel arrangements you see it was to short notice for a luxury
trip to be organised” he says once more while opening the cage. The soldiers
throw him in the cage and the King of rogues closes it and locks it “oh my
dear brother” the grandmaster says “where have you inherit this evil heart of
yours?” “The day you became the special one in the family” King Bradley
replies.
“All those years I have watched as you received all the attention from our
parents…being the proud son while I was being pushed away and neglected”,
he takes a seat on his throne while remembering his youth days “the day I ran
away nobody bothered coming to look for me, nobody cared if whether I was
alive or dead, nobody even noticed my absence.” The grandmaster takes a seat
on the floor of the cage and leans against the bars “I stumbled into a hobbits
cave while running through the woods not knowing where I was heading to”
King Bradley continues to tell his story “he gave me a reason to live after
making me drink the cursed blood of the redbone fox, it is my reason for not
aging so quickly and is the reason why I have this power.
After a year of living with the hobbit and working for him our cave was
attacked by passing by thugs, and because of the death of the old hobbit: the
redbone fox curse was triggered in me and its power felt so good…” he
explains while looking at his long nailed hands. “Our parents were not
attacked by wild animals in the woods brother, my rage became the best
feeling for me and I ripped both their hearts out to satisfy my crave for
revenge”. “My dear brother…” the grandmaster interferes “you do not have to
forgive me for not looking for you after being crowned, but please forgive our
parents for their negligence towards you”.
“It is to late now brother” he replies “I am king of the rogues now and with
the Unity nation out of the way I will be able to have everything that I ever
dreamed of having” he says while getting up from his throne “and I want you
to be here as a witness to see my long craved success”. “The Unity captains
and commanders will not allow that” the grandmaster says to him “I might be
your prisoner but they will never bow down to you even if you kill me, please
brother stop all of this madness I beg you. It is not to late to forget the past and
start a new future”, King Bradley takes a peak over his shoulder towards the
cage and looks back at the door “our futures are well engineered by our pasts
without us even noticing it” he says “and mine showed it self to me when I
was given this gift and the power to become a king.”
The casualty rating has been calculated while all the surviving Unity
members all gather in front of the headquarters offices “nine hundred civilians
are found that are injured, they are given immediate medical attention” Shane
explains to Captain Keith “four hundred fatalities have been counted till now,
all of them were security personnel”. Captain Keith looks down at his broken
leg while Khutso heals him “we have to plan an attack on the rogue temple to
free the grandmaster before it is too late” he says as Khutso stops healing him
and grabs hold of her head “your leg should be fine after a few minutes” she
says while grabbing hold of her head “excuse me” as she gets up from her
knees and runs to the back of the headquarters.
She takes a seat on the ground with her legs crossed and closes her eyes
sinking into the brightness of her mind; she opens her eyes once more sitting
on an open landscape with Rudy’s back turned to her. “You are angry at me…”
she asks as he growls softly “do you still remember how we met…” she asks
him while remembering the rainy cold day her parents died in a farmhouse
fire, she sat on her knees crying blood tears while a gang of thugs surrounded
her.
The giant Rudy felt her pain from a distant while sitting on a cliff deep in
between the Kwazulu Natal Mountains, her painful cry naturally summoned
him as his body slowly disappears unexplainably while the thugs surrounding
Khutso all grab her at once trying to tear her clothes up. “After hearing your
roar I felt the worst pain ever in my head and was able to open my eyes
again…I saw the dead bodies of those men marinating in their own blood and
when I turned around I saw you”.
“I couldn’t understand why I was not afraid of you, I felt safe with you, you
are the closest thing I have to family” she says while tears race down her
cheeks, Rudy turns around and uses his big fingers to wipe her tears as he sits
down in front of her crossing his legs. She wraps her hand around his finger
and rests her head on his palm, “please try to calm down and regain your
strength encase we have to face that juggernaut again” she says “I have to get
back to the others before they start asking questions that I wont be able to
answer” she says once more before getting back on her feet and walking away
from him.
Her eyes open again behind the headquarter offices as she gets up on her
feet and dusts her self off, “if we plan on assaulting the enemy’s territory we
will have to play very smart” Captain Keith says as they all surround a round
table in one of the offices of the Unity headquarters “you are going to need all
the help you can get” Maria says while she enters the office followed by
Nadia, Zion and Khutso.
“This is not your fight” Captain Keith says “take your friends and go
home” “we are already involved in this” Nadia says “my hole family was
murdered by a rogue angel and I will do all I can to avenge them”. Captain
Zandile looks at Captain Keith “with all due respect captain” she says “we are
going into enemy territory without any inside information, and I hate to admit
it but we are going to need their help too”. Captain Keith looks at Nadia
“Coral came close to killing me a few hours ago, what guarantee is their that
you will not lose control of your helper again?” he asks her as they all turn and
look at Nadia with great shock.
“I give you my word she will not interfere I will speak to her after the
meeting” Nadia answers, “Coral is your helper?” Captain Nelly asks and is
answered by complete silence “answer me!!” she screams while violently
trying to grab Nadia “Nelisiwe control your self while in the presence of our
guests” one of the council members says as he enters the office. “This young
girl has a special gift caged in her, a gift which could work in our favour” he
says “yes Coral is her helper I watched from the safe tower and saw the
powerful command seal that this girl poses wrap itself around Coral” “Maria is
a traitor, I show no mercy to traitors” Captain Nelly says “and she is also your
best friend too” the councillor says “I herd you cry the day news came to you
about her being banished from our Nation”.
Captain Nelly looks at Maria before looking down to the floor disappointed
“the life of our leader is in great danger so I expect positive decisions to be
made today” he says while looking at Captain Keith. “Tighten the leash on
your helper” he says to Nadia, “I am sure your monster friend can keep the
juggernaut busy while we assault the temple” he says to Khutso “we do have
some unfinished business with him so he will not be in your way” she replies.
Nadia spots a rat snake listening from inside a hole as it spots her looking at it,
“we strike in two nights everybody make sure they get some good rest till
then” he says while the rat snakes head sinks into the hole and Nadia turning
her attention to captain Keith.
Soon as the meeting is adjured: Nadia confronts Coral, she opens the door
and finds Coral sitting facing the fire places while sharpening her black sword
“what can I do for you?” she ask, “I am here to ask for a favour” Nadia says to
her “there is a big war coming up and I need you to stay out of it”.
Coral stops sharpening her sword and looks over at Nadia, “we both know
that is impossible” she answers “soon as you become angered I am angered
and the door behind you opens” she says “. As long as rage crosses your mind
than it means that you are asking me for help, I have to keep you alive for as
long as possible”. “Everybody is afraid of you” Nadia says “they are afraid of
us” Coral answers while slowly get up from her chair and walks up to Nadia
“look at me and tell me what you see” she asks “I see my self…” Nadia
answers “we are exactly the same; the difference is that I am the monstrous
anger trapped in you that you enjoy feeding on”.
“If that is the case than let us both make the same decisions” Nadia says
“listen to me as your commander and stay in here” Coral turns around and
takes a seat “so you figured that out…” she says “fine I wont interfere in the
upcoming fight than” she says while crossing her legs, the door slowly opens
“that’s your cue to leave” she says once more.
The grandmaster sits in his cage next to King Bradley’s throne eating a
candle light dinner as the rat snake sails its way past the cage. “My Lord I
have brought you news from the headquarters” the snake says as the
grandmaster stops eating “they are planning an attack in two nights to free
their beloved leader” the snake says while looking at the grandmaster. “That
voice sounds so familiar” he says as he gets up from his little dinner table and
walks towards the entrance of the cage “Victor?” he asks as the snake changes
into its human form “yes” he answers “its me”, a huge explosion distracts
them as one of the soldiers run in and kneels in front of King Bradley. “My
lord we are under attack” he says as King Bradley turns his attention to the
snake man –Victor- “have you lost your counting ability?” he asks him before
looking back at the soldier in front of him “make them regret their visit” he
says while getting up from his throne and attempting to grab Victor by the
throat . “My lord!” Victor screams out while shape shifting into a black
mamba and escaping, Rudy jumps in the way of the patrolling juggernaut as
he spots him and runs towards him with his jack hammer pulled above his
shoulder.
He bashes it into Rudy’s sword as he pushes it back, they bash their
weapons against each other with Rudy being much faster than the first time
they crossed paths, he aggressively swings his sword at the juggernaut’s huge
hammer and hits one of the towering pillars of the temple. The juggernaut uses
his weight advantage and slams his foot on the ground bringing the piece of
the building that was held up by the pillar down, as Rudy cuts the falling
blocks into peaces with his sword above his head and looks back at the
juggernaut.
He jumps up in the air and swings his sword down at the giant forcing him
to use the steal round bar handle to block it as Rudy bounces off of the
juggernaut’s helmet using his feet. The giant drops on his back while Rudy
lands on his feet and looks up to the temple “the cost is clear” Khutso says to
the others “all of the guards are heading towards the fight between Rudy and
the juggernaut”. The rest all run into the main gate as Emily sticks her hand
into her sand bag and showers the guards with dust “that is your cue” Maria
says to Captain Nelly as she dives off of her phoenix’ back and lands in
between the guards.
The phoenix patrols the black skies while blowing fire down at the archers
shooting arrows at it, Captain Themba clears the way for Captain Keith and
Nadia while shooting his laser arrows at the soldiers in their way. “Clear” he
says while sitting at a safe distance in the foggy ocean on an ice burg created
by Captain Zandile. The juggernaut gets back on his feet as Rudy draws his
attention back at him, he throws his huge jack hammer at Rudy like a little
stone as it knocks Rudy’s sword out of his hands, off of the cliff and into the
ocean.
“Rudy…” Khutso calls his name out from the distant beach as the
juggernaut turn their fight into a no rules boxing match: bashing his fist all
over Rudy’s body while he cover his face with his arms. “The juggernaut is
stronger without his weapon” Khutso says while looking at Rudy being
cornered and pounded “at this rate Rudy is not going to make it” she says as
Rudy breaks out of the corner with a straight punch, he fights back by jumping
onto the juggernaut’s chest and grabs hold of his helmet while hammering on
it with his free fist.
After taking a few steps back: the juggernaut wraps its arms around Rudy’s
body and bashes him into the ground, he pulls his head off of Rudy’s chest and
swings his fist at him but misses and bashes it into the ground next to Rudy’s
head. Rudy uses his feet to push the giant off of him and get back on his, he
wastes no time and spear tackles the juggernaut through another pillar and
butters him on the ground, after grabbing hold of his armour he pounds his
head into the juggernaut’s helmet and dents it. The giant grabs hold of Rudy’s
throat wit both his big hands and pulls him into the sky above him while
getting on his feet, he throws Rudy against pieces of the pillars on the floor
and tightens his armour and helmet. Vendera slices through one of the soldiers
while Captain Keith looks back at Nadia “are you okay?” he asks her as she
gives him a positive answer and follows him up the stairs.
“You two are about to enter a closed corridor and there is a huge wall that is
going to be blocking my way” Captain Themba tells Captain Keith and Nadia
while they reach the corridor he speaks of, “we will be fine from here on”
Captain Keith replies “assist the others in the mean time until you receive
visual of us again”. He shoots one of his arrows at the juggernaut as it bounces
off of his shoulder without any effect, the giant looks at him while walking to
Rudy and brushes off his shoulder “do not interfere with them” Khutso says
“cover Captain Zandile”
As he turns his attention to her busy climbing on the south part of the
temple and pulling archers out of windows when ever she reaches them. He
shoots one of his arrows through one of the archers’ neck while Captain
Zandile pulls him out of an open window, Blaze blows out of the building and
shoulder chargers Captain Zandile as he watches her drop down to the cold
ocean fixing his eye patch.
He creates a flaming shield next to him to keep Captain Themba’s arrows
from Reaching him, “you are annoying me” he says while pointing at him, a
dragons head dives through the ice burg beneath him and swallows him before
he could make his jump. The angry Blaze teleports down and reappears on the
ice surface on top of the ocean created by Captain Zandile “you must be the
one they call Zandile” he says to her as she struggles to get back on her feet
“the ice Goddess” Zion Jumps in between them but is also swallowed by the
same dragon head that swallowed Captain Themba before his feet reaches the
ice surface.
“This was done by one of your colleagues a day ago” he says while fixing
his eye patch again “someone has to pay and you appear to be the lucky one”.
Captain Zandile blows steam ice out of her mouth towards him as he uses a
flaming shield against it, while the steam runs out she tries to catch her breath
and spots Blaze approaching quick swinging his flaming sword and bashing it
on the ice shield she erects above her.
She pulls out twin ice swords from the ice surface and stands tall facing
him, Captain Keith uses a dash step to cut his katana through a corridor filled
of soldiers while Nadia runs after him “keep up” he says to her while
continuing his assault on those in his way, Rudy corners the juggernaut and
drills his fists numerously into the giants armour as it slowly cracks. He
swings both his fists down and smashes them into Rudy’s back before booting
him away and resting his hands on his knees from exhaustion, Rudy lays down
looking into the sky for a few minutes while catching flashbacks of him and
Khutso sitting in an open field. “Rudy…” Khutso calls his name as she see’s
the same flashback “I understand…” she says as she walks up to a tree and
leans behind it “just please do not forget me after this no matter what happens”
as she places her hands on her forehead covering her eyes.
“I am giving you complete control” she says as she closes her eyes and uses
her fingers to tap her self on her forehead. The juggernaut reaches Rudy trying
to pick him up but is disturbed by the sudden change in his energy, a huge
energy wave blows out of Rudy’s body while he gets back on his feet, his aura
glows brighter as he looks up into the sky screaming in rage to increase his
power.
The juggernaut looks on from a distant as he takes off his body armour,
Rudy draws his attention back at him while the juggernaut stretches his
armour free from his body and gets back into a boxers pose. He wiggles his
shoulders while Rudy walks towards him with his fists in front of him. As he
uses two of his fingers to call the juggernaut closer signalling the beginning of
the fight, the juggernaut connects a straight hit on Rudy’s face and Rudy
returning a blow of his own, the fight becomes to intense for the part of the
building that they are on as it shakes the temple a bit.
“What was that?” Nadia asks while the shaking temple knocks her and
captain Keith of balance, “we have to keep, moving we are almost at the top”
he says to her while getting up on his feet. Rudy bashes his fists on his chest
bravely and walks over to the juggernaut as they continue to exchange lethal
blows while blood showers the shaking ground underneath them after every
fist that connects, the juggernaut opens his palms and pushes Rudy away from
him and slams his quenched fists down on Rudy’s shoulders as he drops to the
ground.
As he rests his hands on his knees once more: Rudy takes advantage and
dives his shoulder into the giants stomach –and wraps his arms around his
body- while picking him up and slams him into the ground, shaking the temple
even more. Small pieces of the shaking temple shatter on the ice surface while
Blaze and captain Zandile’s swords spark against each other; Blaze intensifies
the flames surrounding his sword and blows Captain Zandile off of her feet.
She is quick to return on her feet and blocks a kick from Blaze by erecting a
shield from the ice and freezes his leg. “Cheap trick” he says while melting the
ice off of his leg, pixi like ice wings slowly take form on Captain Zandile’s
back as she scratches her swords against each other and faces Blaze “I don’t
know who is responsible for putting that patch on your eye” she says to him as
her iris turn a blue colour “but I am about to be responsible for the loss of your
other eye!!”.
She dash steps towards him and bashes one of her swords into his while the
other sword targets his functioning eye, he jumps out of the way but is not
given much space as both the twin swords are swung towards him. He
teleports behind her and swings his sword into her disappearing body, as she
reappears on the ice surface and summons a huge ice yeti behind her. “Blaze”
she calls him while looking up at him in the sky “I am going to kill you!!” she
says as the yeti swings his fists at his teleporting bodies, he teleports into
Captain Zandile as their swords meet once more in a high speed fight while
the yeti follows them as he blows steam ice at them.
 Khutso hears horse footsteps approaching as she fearfully pushes her hands
off the ground and presses her self against the tree she is leaning against,
“archers ready your selves” a voice says as she tries to concentrate on
identifying it. She feels a cold cloth brushing against her cheeks whipping off
the blood stains that are coming from her eyes “you are safe now” the voice
says “Shane?” she asks as she takes a deep sigh of relief. Blaze’ dragon head
helper dives out of the ocean and blows fire into the sky while it wiggles its
swelling neck in pain, “archers target the dragon all of you” Shane shouts out
orders as sharp nails pierce out of the dragons neck, “what is that?” Shane asks
while the nails tear the dragons neck open slowly “archers aim at the thing
crawling out of the dragon” Captain Shane shouts out more instructions.
Gabriel squeezes out of the dragon as it collapses into the ocean “call the
archers off!!!” Captain Themba shouts out at Shane from inside of Gabriel’s
rib cage, “sees fire!” Shane says as the archers lower their bow and arrows
“what a show this turned out to be” he says while looking at the half damaged
temple. “Are you a good aim?” Zion ask Captain Themba while Gabriel turns
around and faces the fight between Captain Zandile and Blaze, “the best
archer ever spoken of” he answers while he stretchers his laser arrow in his
bow and fires a shot beneath Captain Zandile’s ear and into Blazes shoulder
sending him crashing into the lower part of the temple’s rocky foundation.
Nadia and Captain Keith fight off the last bunch of soldiers and reach the
door where the grandmaster is held captive, Captain Keith slowly pushes the
doors open “welcome” King Bradley says to them as they walk in, “so you’re
the King of the rogue angels…” Captain Keith asks “wait…” Nadia interferes
“this is not the same guy I fought back on earth” she says to Captain Keith.

Chapter eleven: King Bradley-the redbone fox.

“No I am not” King Bradley answers her “I am the King of Rogue Angels
the person you were going up against was my puppet that was more
comfortable being controlled by his ego rather than by me”. He takes a few
steps away from his throne and faces the two visitors “I gather you are here for
my beloved brother” he says to Captain Keith “but what are you here for?” he
asks Nadia. “You are not part of the Unity community nor are you a
commander of guardian angels that are formally registered at the Unity
headquarters” he says to her “I would love to hear your answer”. “I am here to
avenge my family that was murdered by Alexander” she answers “but your
little friend inside of you already helped you get revenge, her blade was the
one that pierced through Alexander’s throat”.
Nadia’s eyes turn red in colour being generated from her anger as she gets a
firm grip on her sword, “enough talking” Captain Keith interferes “release the
grandmaster or face the consequences” he says as he points his katana at King
Bradley “such a laughable suggestion you are making he says as he closes his
eyes. He reopens them and unleashes a big energy wave towards Captain
Keith and Nadia as they both jump out of the way; Nadia dives towards him
attempting to slice Vendera through his chest but misses as King Bradley
jumps out of the way.
Captain Keith comes from behind with his katana but also misses as King
Bradley’s body vanishes in front of him. they both stand still as they look
around them “where is he” Nadia asks “keep your guard up” Captain Keith
says to Nadia “I expected much more from the head of captains” King
Bradleys voice echoes around the room “but I wouldn’t say the same about
you though…Nadia” he says.
A white light slices in between them at high speed as Nadia jumps into the
air avoiding it: King Bradley places his hand on her shoulder and kicks her
back to the ground, “a fight of this calibre is too much for someone that
struggles to control their own body” he says while watching her bounce off the
floor. “Nadia!!” Captain Keith screams out at her while running towards her,
King Bradley appears behind her and kicks her towards Captain Keith before
she bounces off the ground again.
The two smash into a wall next to the grandmasters cage, as King Bradley
uses a dash step and stops between them and the cage “I am over here” he says
while trying to punch one of them, Captain Keith grabs on to Nadia and
disappears before the punch connects with them. He puts her down and gets on
his feet pointing his katana at King Bradley “diamond rose cutter” he calls out
a sharp spinning red rose shooting out of it towards King Bradley, he creates a
force field that prevents the rose from reaching him until it is weakened and
vanishes.
Nadia appears behind him and slices Vendera through the force field
forcing King Bradley to dash step out of the way, her red eyes turn colder as
Corals steam like aura surround her “so rage has finally reached your heart” he
asks her with a smile on his face, “this is turning out to be more interesting
isn’t it?” he asks Captain Keith looking at Nadia. “I wonder who Coral is
going to kill, me or you” the steam vanishes as Nadia regains conscious “Coral
is not going to kill anybody, I am going to defeat you on my own” she says as
she dash steps towards him and bashes Vendera into his claws with force.
 One of the claws begin to crack as King Bradley jumps out of the way, his
claws are put under more pressure having to face Captain Keith’s katana,
Nadia takes Vendera to the fight and joins them in the high speed battle all
around the room. King Bradley gets cornered and uses an energy wave to get
the two away from him; he dives down and bounces off the ground with his
feet towards Captain Keith and swings his claws at him scratching his katana.
The second scratch misses the katana and scratches his chest, Nadia
charges towards him and engaged in a high speed physical fight as Vendera’s
strength is intensified by Corals steamy aura, “Keith” the grandmaster calls
out to him holding his bleeding chest. As he tries to pull him self closer to the
cage and is healed by the grandmasters hands sticking out of it, he gets back
on his feet and fiddles with the cages gate but is disrupted by Nadia crash
landing against it.
“Thinking of leaving so soon?” King Bradley asks while hovering down to
the ground “you just arrived” he says once more as he charges his power,
Nadia disappears and reappears in front of him swinging her sword at him at a
high speed till he grabs it with his bare hands “this sword is to dangerous for a
little girl like you” he says while ripping it our of her hands kicking her down
into the closest wall, after an exciting little laugh he throws Vendera towards
Nadia but is blocked by Jessica’s staff.
“So she knows sorcery too” he says while the staff slowly vanishes, she
gets back on her feet and picks Vendera up looking up at King Bradley with a
sigh of relief, she closes her eyes as Coral opens hers in her room and peaks
over the tip of the couch at the door. “Please borrow me a small percentage of
your power” she says to her but Coral ignores as the battle continues between
Captain Keith and King Bradley.
“Please Coral just a small portion of your power is all I ask for” she says
once more but Coral continues to ignore and sips on a glass of red wine and
stares at the fire in front of her, “you personally came here and asked me not to
interfere and now you asking me to lend you my power?” she asks. “Stop
playing games little girl I am obeying your command so concentrate on
staying alive would you.” Nadia’s eyes open as Captain Keith is being thrown
around the room, she takes a deep breath and uses Jessica’s aura to heal her
wounds “you finished speaking to your imaginary friends?” King Bradley asks
while drawing his attention to her, she dash steps towards him and slams
Vendera aggressively into his claws and breaks the set on his right hand as he
disappears to safety.
“This sudden power…” he asks while looking at his broken claws “were
you hiding it for a special occasion?” he asks once more but Nadia answers
with her sword, swinging it madly towards him on the ground. She finally
spots an opening as Vendera cuts him on his chest and knocks him off balance,
Captain Keith pierces his katana through King Bradleys clawless hand and
into the ground as the king growls out in pain, Captain Nelly runs into the
battle room with her sword and spots the fallen King, “was it that easy?” she
asks as they all look at her.
A red aura glows around King Bradleys body as his claws grow back,
Captain Keith pulls his katana out of his hand and jumps to safety while
watching the Kings transformation take place, “what is happening?” Captain
Nelly asks while King Bradley gets back on his feet with his red glowing eyes.
A fox tail forces it self out of his cervix as his claws grow longer and his teeth
sharper –with fox like facial hair growing on his cheeks-. His hair grows
longer too stretching down his back as he looks up to the roof and roars a huge
energy wave from his body.
“What is he?” Nadia asks as they all look at him with big shock as the
transformation finally reaches its end and he calms his body, “it has been a
while since I saw my self in this form” he says the last time I was like this I
was forced to protect my self against Coral and her partner in crime –
Monique- before their arrest and execution. Come closer” he calls them over
“come help me test this amazing power” he calls them over with his long
index claw, Captain Nelly swings her blade and extracts a huge amount of
flames towards the king as it brushes off of him. “What is this freak?” she asks
as she aggressively charges towards him and slams her sword into his sharp
claws “I am not amused at all” he says while blowing her away with a heavy
current of air coming from his mouth.
“Diamond rose cutter!!” Captain Keith screams out as the sharp rose heads
towards King Bradley, he sticks his hand out and opens his palm as the rose
bash against it without any affect. “I am now completely indestructible…” he
says as he uses a faster dash step and pierces a set of claws in Captain Keith’s
shoulder while looking at Nadia frozen in shock over it. Captain Keith drops
to his knees as King Bradley kicks him out of his way and faces Nadia “come
here” he calls her over but Nadia remains standing frozen in shock.
A laser arrow shoots through the window and against his cheek drawing his
attention as he looks out and faces Gabriel walking towards the temple. “wake
up little girl” Coral shouts from inside her room as Nadia regains conscious
“your friends are all falling one by one and you decide to freeze up?” she
shouts once more. Her aura surrounds Nadia as King Bradley stops and looks
back at her over his shoulder, “is that Corals blade your holding in your
hands?” he asks her as he turns around looking at Nadia looking at the black
blade in her hands surrounded by dark purple aura.
He wastes no time and dash steps towards her with his claws aiming for her
face, she steps out of his way and steps to safety as Coral gives her
instructions “hold it in your left hand and use it like a normal sword, the more
anger you release, the stronger the sword becomes” she says to her while
Nadia is busy dodging King Bradley’s claws. She does as she is told and gives
an aggressive swing dashing a cut on King Bradley’s stomach, he teleports
away and reappears a few safe meters away from her while painfully trying to
regenerate.
“A sword so powerful yet given to useless hands… has… Coral lost her
mind…” he says as the words struggle to get out, he drops to his knees failing
to regenerate quickly. Captain Nelly dives up into the sky with her sword
above her and tries to cut the kings head off but he blocks it using his claws
and dives out of the way towards the window. The building begins to shake
due to the fight of giants –Rudy and the juggernaut- from beneath while
Captain Zandile jumps into it through the window with her twin blades, she
tries to slice them both through King Bradleys body as he uses his claws once
more to protect him, he kicks her away while laying on his back and quickly
gets back on his feet.
Nadia takes another swing with Corals blade but misses as King Bradley
jumps out of the way while also avoiding the approaching laser arrows being
shot into the room. She stands tall by the window facing the falling king as the
outside brightness shines around her body blurring his vision. “I have been
reigning years before you were born, I will not allow to be defeated by such a
low ranked commander as your self” he says while painfully struggling to get
back on his feet.
While King Bradley faces the sword that once almost killed him years ago:
a sand puddle forms in the grandmasters cage and slowly expands, he looks at
it while hanging against the bars of the cage as it nears him while the buildings
shaking continues to intensify. King Bradley runs towards Nadia as she does
the same and engages in a high speed battle, “wow” Captain Nelly says “I
guess we are useless in this situation” she says to Captain Zandile helping
Captain Keith back on his feet. They all walk towards the grandmasters cage
while trying to avoid the impact sparks of the fight taking place a few meters
away from them; Captain Nelly uses her blade to slice open the cages bars as
they look at the sand puddle in it.
It opens and creates a tunnel like hole as a voice from inside it screams out
to them “come on, come on the building is falling” the female voice shouts
louder. They all peak through and see Maria sitting in a sand dome “get in
quick” she says as they all jump in allowing her to seal the top of the dome
with sand and sit in complete silence and darkness. “No window?” Captain
Nelly asks as she lights up her hand to make light, “where is Nadia?” Maria
asks “she is still fighting” Captain Zandile answers “she gave us the
opportunity to flee” Captain Keith ads to Captain Zandile’s answer as he
regains a portion of his strength thanks to the help of the grandmaster’s
healing power.
As the fight reaches its end: King Bradley sticks his left hands claws in the
air while running towards Nadia as she swings Corals sword and bashes it into
his claws, he grabs the blade with his bare hand as the tip of it sits on the right
hand side of his head aiming at his right eye. “I will not fall for the second
time before this sword” he says as blood from his hand drips off of it. “No”
Nadia answers you will fall for the first time that it is in my control!” she says
as she intensifies her rage and cuts his hand clean off his wrist, he leaps a few
steps back screaming in pain while holding his wrists and looks up to Nadia
approaching him.
A bright light takes shape around him and slowly covers his body “next
time we meet you…you will regret ever becoming a Unity commander” he
says as the light wraps its self around him like a blanket. Rudy and the
juggernaut both ram against the stone foundation with both their arms
wrapped around each other, causing the hole building to start falling apart
down to the ocean.
Nadia runs towards the window while it faces the ocean and cuts her self an
opening on the wall above the window and dives out while the building dives
into the ocean, as hovers on her back in mid air looking at the building diving
towards her: she is caught by Gabriel. She watches the most powerful sword
ever held by a commander fade away in her hand and takes another sigh of
relieve looking back at the white dome carrying the king of rogue angels shoot
up in the sky and disappears like a shooting star.
The fight between Rudy and the juggernaut is postponed once more as
Rudy floats above the cold ocean towards the beach, Khutso receives her
vision once again as tears of joy race down her cheeks “Rudy…” she softly
calls out “you didn’t lose memory of me…” she says as her body aura helps
his body regenerate from the blows he had to go through. The sand dome
reaches the beach and slowly expands from the top as the grandmaster safely
sets foot on the beach with security personnel, medical staff and archers
surround him and bring him to safety.
“Welcome back grandmaster” Shane says to him while giving him a hand
“it feels good to be around my people once again” the grandmaster answers as
he walks on being followed by Captain Zandile, Captain Nelly, and Captain
Keith. Maria stays behind as Khutso walks towards her “are you alright
Khutso?” she asks while gently grabbing her cheeks and checking for any
serious eye damage, “I am fine” she answers while Nadia and Zion joins them.
 “Well? Are you not coming with us?” the grandmaster asks as he looks
back at them, “you helped us defeat the most powerful threat ever known to
the Unity Nations, you must be tired after all the fighting a presume”. He says
to them as they slowly step closer “do not be afraid, please come” he says as
he puts his arm around Zion and walks with them off the beach into the jungle.
“Secure the perimeter and clear the way” Shane sends out orders on his
headset as security personnel all scatter through out the jungle insuring the
grandmasters safe return back home.
After a long two days trip back to the Unity district: its people have
gathered at the main gate being rebuilt awaiting the grandmasters safe arrival.
Chanting and joyful screams are heard from a distance as some of the children
all run towards the approaching heroes and jump joyfully on the approaching
grandmaster as he picks one of them up. “The Unity nation has already started
rebuilding itself sir” Shane reports to the grandmaster “Your people have been
gathered here since last night waiting your arrival” he says once more as some
of the people offer him fresh food and refreshers.

Chapter twelve: the selection of the sixth captain/the trip back home.

“He was suppose to be the smart one amongst all of the captains…and
could choose a solution over aggression" Captain Keith says to Captain
Zandile just before the night falls as he kneels in front of the grave of the late
Captain Richard. “Even though it did not look like it, we were close friends
and now he is gone…” he says once more while putting a bundle of flowers on
top of the grave, “he is resting in a peaceful place now…” Captain Zandile
says while putting her hand on his shoulder “the heaven gates have opened for
him and he is accepted with warm open arms”. He gets back on his feet and
faces Captain Zandile “we should be getting back to the others” he says “the
grandmaster called a meeting earlier on in the day” as they both walk side by
side leaving the peaceful grave side of Captain Keith and all of the other Unity
nation community members that were lost in the dreadful war.
“It feels good to once more be amongst my people” the grandmaster says
while walking on to the balcony towards Khutso “I heard that you were one of
the participants that help rescue me” he says to her “yes sir I was” she answers
while standing up straight. “Relax” he says “just because I am the grandmaster
does not mean you have to behave weird and uptight when ever I am around, I
wanted to personally thank you and your friend for giving a helping hand in
my rescue".
 “I have only herd stories about this place but never thought it actually
existed” Khutso says to him “the existence of the Unity nation stretches as far
as the beginning of time, it began as a small village but as time went it grew
bigger into a city, it was started by guardians sent from the heavens to build a
detention institution for Angels that miss behaved" he says while pointing at
the prison building ahead.
“And so through that the village was born which gave birth to a city and
districts”, “but Rudy was not born here” she says “he does not even recognise
this place”. “You have a special helper" the grandmaster tells her “be patient
with him and he will be patient with you and protect you for ever”. He turns
around and faces the doors to the corridors “don’t forget about the meeting I
requested and don’t be late” he says as he walks back into the headquarters.
The evening came: all of the Unity captains and council members –
including Nadia, Maria, Zion, and Khutso- assembled in a conference room
waiting for the grandmasters arrival. As he walks in: everybody rises to their
feet in respect until he reaches his chair “before we start, can we have a
moment of silence for all of those that were lost in the dreadful war” he says
as everybody bow their heads in silence for a few minutes.
“Very well, lets begin” he says as they all take their seats “firstly I would
like to thank each and every one of you for risking your lives in protecting the
Unity nation, and as you all noticed we received some extra help from Maria
and her team, so without any further due I have decided that they all be
registered in the headquarters along with their helpers, and Maria be promoted
to sixth captain”.
Silence fill the room with shocked faces on all the captains, “sir with due
respect” Captain Nelly says “how are we going to register them with two of
their helpers being fugitives?” she asks. “Well we have all noticed that those
fugitives are well under control didn’t we” he asks “until a specific stage
though…” Captain Keith interferes “Coral is not someone that can be easily
tamed” he says while looking at Nadia. “She has a powerful command seal”
the grandmaster says “we saw it being used twice remember and Maria shows
no struggle with taming Emily, now I would like comments from the council
please”.
“You are an absolutely magnificent leader grandmaster” one of the council
members says “how ever how can Maria be promoted so easily without any
effort of showing that she deserves it?” he asks, “Maria was once a member
and served under the headquarters for a long time and she contributed greatly
to the future of the Unity nation”. “And she also helped a dangerous fugitive
escape from our custody” Captain Keith interferes once more, “Let us give her
a chance to explain why she did such a thing than” the grandmaster says as
they all face Maria.
“I am sure you all know about my family history…and only a specific
family member is able to bond with a specific helper, I was given a command
seal and the night of Emily’s arrest it reacted to her and she did not resist”
Maria explains. “That is why she allowed her self to be captured so easily, that
same night she called out to me and as her commander I had to answer".
“Knowing all of Emily’s crimes, knowing that she wiped out an entire nation
within a night you still figured bonding with her was a safe thing to do?” one
of the council member ask her “yes it was, because if I did not bond with her
she would have probably attempted to do the same with this nation".
Silence erupts in the room once more after Maria’s last words, “I think
Maria is fit enough to be promoted to captaincy" Captain Zandile says “and
why do you suggest that?” another council member asks “if we all have been
listening to the same story than you would have noticed that she risked her life
for the sake of our nation, if we look back at Emily’s records we would notice
that she targeted all major dominant nations and ours was next on her list. If
Maria did not bond with Emily and she remained untamed what do all of you
think would have happened?” she asks but is answered by complete silence.
“There might not be any records showing it, but Maria is a hero and deserves
the promotion like all of us” she says once more as the rest of the room
remains in complete silence.
“Any other objections?” the grandmaster asks as nobody answers, “very
well than I now officially state Maria as the Unity nation’s sixth captain, you
can all go back to your duties now" he says as he gets up and leaves the
conference room. Hours fly by as Nadia, Khutso, and Zion gather in the
hallway waiting for Maria’s private meeting with the grand elder, as she walks
out of the grand elder’s offices: the three all look at her curiously about what
the grand elder said to her.
“Nothing important" she says to them. “By the way Maria” Nadia tells her
“don’t you think its time that we get back home to our old lives?” she asks
“this place is not for us, I am running out of trees to role” Zion adds on to
Nadia’s statement. “Right… but there is something I have to do first before we
go” she says as she walks back into the headquarters offices. She opens one of
the office doors and walks into it to find Captain Nelly sitting on a table with
her arms folded “so you are going to actually saying good bye this time unlike
the last time” she says to Maria, “Nelly…you will always be my best friend no
matter what happens” Maria replies “and since I am announced as a Captain
this means you will see a lot more of me around here in the near future”.
She walks over to the table and wraps her arms gently around Captain
Nelly’s body and hugs her tight while both their eyes drip tears, “I will never
forget nor throw away what he have, it will always be treasured deep inside of
my heart so please do not cry” she says as Captain Nelly wraps her arms
around Maria. “Captain Maria” a soldier calls her name in salute at the door,
“The teleportation portal is ready for you and your team" the young soldier
says as they both let go of each other.
“I guess I should thank you” Captain Keith says as he approaches Nadia “if
it was not for you, Coral would have probably slit my throat or cut my heart
out. “Its nothing” Nadia replies “get home safe guys” Captain Zandile says to
them but Zion miss hears the message as his attention is drawn to a young
beauteous rookie soldier, brushing her long thin Karoo brown dreadlocks over
her ear with her fingers. She seductively smiles at him as he pays no attention
to Captain Zandile’s message to them, “well…guess we should be getting back
home now” Maria says as Khutso leads the way into the formed portal.
Nadia follows her and so does Maria after taking one last glimpse at
Captain Nelly looking down at her from one of the headquarter windows, the
portal starts to slowly fade away as all the Captains, soldiers and security
personnel stare at Zion lost in thought looking at the young soldier. “Are you
not going with them?” the grand master asks as he slowly reverses into the
fading portal while his eyes still locked on to her. The trip back home becomes
shorter than they expected as they end up on the outskirts of Durban on a
private beach.
“I smell trees…” Zion says as he leads the way into the beach side suburb,
“I guess we missed a lot around here” Nadia says “it is as though there was
never a war that broke out here a few days ago” “we did not miss a few days
here” Khutso says “look around you everything changed completely its as
though we missed a hole few years” she says as she points at the houses. “We
did not miss anything” Maria says “this is the part of the city that was easier to
be rebuilt, and the grand master also could have played a role in reviving the
it…but did not revive the memories of the people that knew us or that were
lost in the war”.
They walk towards the main road and follow Zion, as they reach the bridge
where his little shack was: they stop behind him as he burst in tears with his
mouth wide open. “My paradise!!!” he screams out “what happened to my
paradise???” he screams out more as he walks closer to where the shack was.
“The police came and cleaned it out” a passing homeless man says “apparently
they found a lot of illegal substances when they started searching it and found
a garden behind it” he says while pulling a little trolley with a big sack on it
filled with plastic bottles.
“My mojo is also taken!!! Ohh bomberclut!!!” Zion screams out while
dropping on his knees, “this might work for you” Khutso says to him “not
really” Maria says “his bond with his twins to summon Gabriel relies on
marijuana” “so you are as good as dead without your ultimate defence…”
Nadia says as they all stare at him rolling around on the floor like a moaning
baby in tears.
“Get up your moving in at the shrine” Maria says “and so are you Nadia”,
“okay but there is something I need to do first” Nadia says as she turns around
and leaves Khutso and Maria looking at Zion. She ends up at a grave yard
looking at her hole families graves lined up, Wade and Jessica slowly slide out
of her and stand next to her looking at the graves. “It is so funny…” Nadia
says to them “a while ago I would have burst out in tears and dropped to the
ground but now I am standing here with the only tears coming from my heart
but not reaching my eyes”. “That is because you have accepted their absence
the day Alexander told you about them…” Wade tells her “you are now much
stronger than before, they are all in a much safer place and are probably
having lunch-” “wait…” Nadia interferes before Jessica could finish her
words.
“Someone is missing…” as she scouts around her family graves “my little
sister Angela…she is not here…” she says “I can’t sense her anywhere
around” Jessica says as she looks around. “If she is alive we will find her”
Wade says “we have to get back to the shrine before the others start worrying
about your where about.”

Chapter thirteen: Confrontation with in.

“So which one is my room?” Nadia asks While dragging her bag into the
shrine, “most of the damage was done by Rudy while he was chasing after
Reeds” Khutso explains to them while looking at the aftermath “she ran into
the shrine trying to get away from him but he followed her in”. She kneels
down and picks up pieces of a broken pot “seems like we have a lot of work to
do here in the morning” Maria says as she walks up the stairs with takeaways
“however most of the shrine is still standing so we can survive the night”.
“Has Zion arrived yet?” Nadia asks “yes he is in the back woods he said he
has something important to plant”, Maria and Nadia both look at Khutso in a
disappointed way “typical… well we cannot deprive him he needs it as a
defensive booster” Maria says while walking towards the front door. At the
dinner table: Nadia feels a bit dizzy after the meal as the voices of the others
slowly fade as though she hears them from a distance. “I am going to lay
down, I will see you guys in the morning” she says while getting up from her
chair.
She reaches her room and crashes onto the bed falling into a deep dizzy
sleep, “Nadia does not look that good” Khutso says to Zion and Maria “maybe
she is tired, the past few days were a little bit intense for all of us” Maria
answers as she gets up from her chair. “I will clean up the dishes so long,
maybe you two should get some rest too” she suggests to them as they both
get up from their chairs. After a few hours the lights of the shrine switch off,
Khutso snuggles under her pink duvet, Maria falls asleep with an open novel
on her chest, and Zion sits in front of a mirror trying to fix his messy
dreadlocks.
Nadia tosses and turns in her bed while she sweats intensively, she
struggles to get some peaceful sleep as she keep seeing blurry visions of Coral
in her dreams. The bad dream becomes worse when she see’s Coral with
another unknown stranger fighting King Bradley in his redbone fox form as it
blurs away into the darkness. She wakes and sits upright breathing in and out
heavily. “Here” Jessica says while handing her a glass of water “don’t you
guys sleep?” she asks after taking a sip from the cold water, “if we did sleep
who would look after you?” Wade asks her.
“If you keep thinking about her she will haunt you all night” Jessica says
“you are right” Nadia replies “I will see her in the morning and see what she
really wants”. Dawn breaks as Nadia stands outside looking towards the
woods at Zion walking towards her with red eyes and a big smile on his face,
he takes a seat next to her and joins her facing the woods. “Never in a million
years have I thought that I would be involved in something like this…” she
says to him “I have to confront her and find out about my dream and how she
ended up inside of me” she says once more while looking at Zion but he
continues to stare at the woods with a big smile on his face. Her head slowly
turns to the woods as she gets on her feet and slowly walking into the shrine to
Maria and Khutso making breakfast.
“I am confronting Coral…” she tells them “I have to know why she haunts
me like this”, “well only you know the way to her door” Maria says. “How did
you know there was more than one door?” Nadia asks “Emily is gifted in
many ways” Maria explains her self “back at the Unity Nations when you
went to see Coral she followed you but could not enter nor hear what you two
were speaking of behind the closed door”. “Well it is best if you go as soon as
possible” Khutso says while drinking a cup of tea, after breakfast: Nadia sits in
the open back yard of the shrine before the woods and focuses on the route to
Coral.
Khutso and Maria approach and take their places at the stairs facing Nadia,
she is mentally dragged into a warm hole passage filled with thousands of
doors as she ends up at the door that houses Coral. “Come in…” Coral invites
her in after the door opens on its own, she slowly walks in and the door closes
once more, “you are here about your dream…” she says “the person in the
dream was my partner in crime, to an extend that we felt like sisters but even
sisterhood comes to an end at some stage” she says. “When we first met you
told me that there is something I will have to help you with one day" Nadia
says to her “what is it?” she asks, “that time will come and you will cross that
river once it is ready”.
Coral gets up from her sofa in front of the fire and faces Nadia “I thought
we were the same but clearly we are not” she says to her “its time you face
reality and that death does exist, back at the grave yards you were trying really
hard to hide your emotions" “that has nothing to do with why I am here”
Nadia aggressively answers. “This has everything to do with why you are
here” Coral says once more “your missing little sister Angela can also be a
reason” she says as Nadia grabs hold of a near by sword and swings it slowly
at Coral. She grabs the body of the blade with her bare hand without worries
of damage to her palm. “Does it feel a bit heavy?” she asks Nadia as she lifts
the hand that is holding the sword and Nadia along with it from the ground.
She throws her and the sword out of the door into the wide opened space
reality marble, “without your two slaves you are but a mere human, a
powerless waste of space of a human” she says as she walks out of her room.
A dome created by Jessica surrounds Nadia as Coral breaks through it with her
back hand, Wade comes to her protection as he swings Vendera towards Coral,
“hopeless” she says as she side shifts and watches him passing her, she drills
her knee into his back sending him into the complete darkness. Jessica finally
appears and tries to curse a spell onto Coral but fails as Coral dusts the spell of
her shoulders like dirt.
Wade takes his place next to Jessica as they both stand in front of Coral
shadowing Nadia from her, “please do not waist my time” she says to them “I
will mop the floor with the two of you another day”. They both start to glow
as Nadia starts to do the same, “merge all you can” Coral says “it still won’t be
qualified to be called a warm up fight even with the three of you put together”.
Nadia gets back on her feet after the merge with Vendera in her hands and
dashes towards Coral aggressively swinging it at her, as the speed intensifies
between the two so does Nadia’s rage while she follows Coral all around the
emptiness of the reality marble and finally comes to a stand still.
“What’s wrong?” Coral asks her while appearing in front of her “am I tiring
you already? Don’t tell me that you are going to attempt to save Angela in this
state now” she says once again as she angers Nadia even more. “How dare you
speak about my sister like that…” she says as she dashes towards Coral and
swings Vendera at her simultaneously while Coral dodges all of the high speed
strikes - with her hands folded and eyes closed-. After all the hard effort:
Nadia lands a punch on Corals right cheek before retreating a few meters
away, “I am finally amazed…” she says while licking the blood stain on her
bottom lip “you managed to make me taste my own blood after thirty years”
she turns her head and faces Nadia “allow me to formally introduce you to my
helper” she says while stretching her left hand out next to her.
Her dark purple aura slowly extracts from arm and slowly fades around her
powerful sword, “I believe you have seen it before and as embarrassed as I am
to say it, even held it too” she says as the sword rattles in her left hand craving
combat. “this is Death maker, the most destructive sword ever created in
history” she says “Vendera is a powerful sword” –with a blink of an eye Coral
slams Death maker into Vendera in front of Nadia’s face- “how ever compared
to Death maker it is as helpless as a piece of paper in a field fire” she says
while looking at Death maker slowly sinking into Vendera. “Seems like we
have guests” Coral says as she pushes Nadia away and also makes way for
Rudy’s huge sword to slice between them.
He roars while swinging his sword with a lot of powerful effort against
Death maker as Coral uses it to shoves his sword away, Ariela and Kush join
the fight as they take turns to attack Coral while she dodges all of their attacks
without any problems. Nadia comes from behind trying to slam Vendera into
the back Corals head but she blocks it by stretching Death maker in its way
without looking. She turns around at a high speed as they both bash each
others swords against each other. The twins join in to support Nadia with their
daggers as Coral uses Death maker to block Vendera plus the twins’ daggers
and Rudy’s huge sword while they all attack at the same time.
After a while of the intense fight with Coral pinned in a corner: she swings
Death maker aggressively and at a high speed against all of their weapons,
scattering them all around the place. She looks down at Nadia while hover in
the air and hears fingers clicking from a distance, “welcome to the party” she
says as she blocks two swords diving towards her out of the pitch darkness.
“I was kind of expecting you earlier” Coral says as she turns around and
faces Nadia’s Death angel “I am the only one to take the life of that girl” the
death angel says “and in order for that to happen I have to keep her alive until
the time comes-” “which also means baby sitting her I get the point” Coral
interferes. “But what would happen if I were to kill you first though?” she asks
while pointing Death maker at the death angel, “I died ten thousand years ago”
the death angel answers while she slams her sword into Death maker “I am
just a soul wondering around waiting for my time of freedom” she says once
more while jumping to safety after Death maker breaks her sword.
 She projects a katana while Nadia and the rest join in and surround Coral,
they all attack at once but are sent scattering all over the place once more by
Corals powerful energy wave extracted from her. The death angel clicks her
fingers twice as double the amount of swords shoot out of thin air towards
Coral but are weakened before reaching her and drop to the ground. “I am the
only arch angel of my kind” she says as she dashes towards the death angel
and slam their weapons against each other simultaneously as sparks shower
the ground until the katana shatters into pieces.
“Not even a high ranked death servant such as your self can come close to
matching my calibre” she says once more as she attempts to grab hold of the
death angels throat, the twins wrap golden chains extracted from the bottom of
their daggers around her and pull tight but Coral breaks out of the grip.
Rudy swings his huge sword at her but Death maker slices through it as
Coral steps on his face and bounces off of it into the sky, Nadia teleports next
to her and swings Vendera into Death maker simultaneously while they both
dive up into the bitch black darkness. They both bounce their feet off the
reality marble’s ceiling and dive back to the ground out of the pitch darkness
in the same motion.
The death angel assists Nadia with twin assault swords while Coral flips
her body and lands on her feet blocking all of their attacks, as Rudy slams his
half sword into the ground and rattles it distracting Coral. She turns around
and runs towards the giant as the death angel clicks her fingers sending two
swords following Coral, she jumps into the air avoiding the swords as they
both pierce onto Rudy’s limps and shoot out behind him.
“I must say this turned out to be more fun than I thought” she says while
hovering above all of them “you are actually giving me a challenge but I am
slowly getting bored”, she dives down and bounces her feet on the back of
Rudy’s head while he is kneeling and bashes it into the ground, as she dives
towards Nadia and the death angel. They both slam their weapons against
Death maker at the same time as the twins wrap golden chains around her legs
once again and began to pull her off balance; Nadia finds an opportunity and
punches Coral as the twins pull her into her room against the back wall.
“Don’t forget that I am a part of you…” she says while pealing her self off the
wall “you haven’t seen the last of me yet” she says once more while watching
the door slowly close.
They all turn their attention towards the death angel as Nadia ask her “how
did you get here and how did you know about this place?” “I am a spirit” she
answers “and I have the ultimate eyes, I can see anything that happens
anywhere no matter how personal it may be”. “Coral mentioned your sister…”
she says “before your family was killed: Alexander carelessly commanded me
to open a black hole which your sister ran into, she is still alive but the state
she is in is very disturbing" Nadia walks towards the death angel “where is
she?” she asks.
“She is in the world of eternal snow, go to-” as the death angel is disturbed
by the cracking ceiling falling into pieces from inside the pitch black darkness
dropping its peaces all around them, the death angel disappears as Rudy and
the twins fade with the strong wind current. Nadia drops onto the ground and
tries to protect her face by covering it with her arms from the falling pieces of
the ceiling. She is covered by a blanket of sand as it hardens around her like a
dome while sand dust drip from Emily’s hand from a distance, Nadia opens
her eyes and finds her self back at the shrine in a triangle surrounded by
Maria, Khutso, and Zion. “So did you find what you were looking for or did
you just want to pick a fight with your inner self?” Khutso asks while Nadia
stretches her neck, “my sister Angela is still alive and is trapped in the world
of eternal snow”.
Nadia explains to them “eternal snow…” Maria says “I have never herd of
such a world before” Nadia gets back on her feet and gently places her hand
on her chest, “fighting Coral made the bond between us stronger I can feel it”
she says “what’s next?” Maria asks “I am going to find the land of eternal
snow and bring my sister back”.
