LEARNING STANDARD
4.3 Use capital letters, full stops, commas in lists and question marks appropriately in independent writing at discourse level.

OBJECTIVE By the end of the lesson, most pupils will be able to:
- Complete sentences using correct capital letters, full stops and commas based on topic given at least three out of five
sentences correctly.
SUCCESS CRITERIA
Pupils able to form simple sentences completely describing their prefer foods.
ACTIVITY Pre-lesson
  1.Write on board ‘Food and Health’ and say / sign this is today’s topic. Besides, teacher shows pictures of good and bad food for
  health.
  Lesson delivery
2. Pupils story to the class food their like and dislike. Teachers ask them if their food are good or bad. Pupils gives more than
one examples.
3. A map shown to the pupils, differentiate between good and bad food. Two examples given. Teachers asks pupils to give one
or more examples each pupils.
4. Forming simple sentences using examples given in the map. ‘ I like to eat fried rice. , I love ice cream. , I ate chicken salad
yesterday. ‘
5. Full mark sentences ; I ate bread, milk and banana for breakfast yesterday.
Post-lesson
6. Identify good and bad food in the table given as exercises. Objective achieve when pupils complete fill given table correctly.
