Vocabulary Guide
The following are the terms you need to understand as you go along
with this module.
Communication – the imparting or interchange of thoughts, opinions,
or information by speech, writing, or signs (Dictionary.com, 2020)
Frozen - is sometimes called the static register because it refers to
historic language or communication that is intended to remain
unchanged, like a constitution or prayer (Nordquist, 2020)
Style- a manner of doing something (Oxford English Dictionary, 2020)
Static – not moving or changing (Vocabulary.com, 2020)
Impact -A marked effect or influence (OED, 2020)
Crucial -decisive or critical, especially in the success or failure of
something (OED, 2020)
Fix- fasten (something) securely in a particular place or position (OED,
2020).

Activity 2- Frozen II

1. Frozen style of communication is also called fixed speech.
