The Death of Steve Jobs

JOBS was known for his volatility as much as his vision. But according to former Apple
employees, it’s the latter that is sorely missing from the company. (News.com.au, 2017)

According to one of the former employee of Apple, the death of Steve Jobs, Founder and
CEO of Apple, the culture of their workplace changed and became worse. Mr. Burrough, the
employee of Apple said that culture has turned and affected the products because of the
employees feeling of lesser personal investment compared to the time of Job’s. Also another of
Apple’s previous team leaders for iPod and iPhone development stated that Job’s clarity of
vision was very effective. It actually made their jobs very easy in retrospect. He said that the late
CEO to foster debate about how to make the product better. He would invite lively debates
before making a decision.

It is indeed true that the death of the phenomenal founder of one of the biggest
multinational technology company in the world greatly affected a lot of people. It troubled and
saddened a lot of sympathizers around the globe, but most of all, it was the Apple Inc. along with
its people mourned greatly of his lost. The incident was so drastic wherein it was like taking
away one of their core pillars. It was like extracting one important organ in their strong and
majestic structure. A lot of employees also felt very lost and drained when Job died.

Ever since his death, there are a lot of mishappenings in the company such as in their
research and development department. Their sales also decreased slightly, making a way for
other technology companies and other competitors to set place in the market.

Apple's stock remained resilient as traders came to terms with the death of Steve Jobs, the
company's iconic co-founder and chairman. After see-sawing through much of Thursday's
session, shares in Apple (AAPL) slipped 0.2 percent, or 88 cents, to close at $377.37. (Burrows,
2011)

Apple as a pioneering technology bearer of human history hugely contributed to

development of technology, advancement, as well as in the economy. Despite of the shocking
event, Apple became resilient and was able to gain back its sailing. With very strong demand and
relatively low global market penetration for iPhone, iPad and Mac products, Apple is expected to
continue and anticipate strong earnings growth for over the next several years.

The story of Apple’s lost was a meaningful example to every company out there,
especially those that relies with intellectual capital. In this world of business, everybody must be
keen with the future. There are unwanted possibilities that we must be readied to face. Institutes
must always put one step forward and think ahead. Future losses are most likely to occur than
future gains if the system will continue to rely and remain constant with the momentum. There
must always be ahead plans in order to become resilient with future markdown in whatever
aspect of the business. Some things, most likely people, are irreplaceable assets in the company,
but that must not be a hindrance to stop and be at ease with the status quo. Business entities such
as managers must be resourceful enough to sustain those assets. If not, they must better device
plans and strategies to replicate or just even have a prototype of those valuables in the company.

In life, Apple also thought us that there are things or people that must go and move out of
our lives completely. Those people and things significantly play a huge role in our lives wherein
we sometimes think that living a life without them is useless or simply that we can’t live without
them. They are indeed essential in our lives, but it is unavoidable that there are things that are
just simple no longer meant for us. When certain loss happens, we would really feel resentful and
hopeless. However, life must go on, and so are we. We must not be stock with that misfortune. In
order to move on along with it, acceptance is really needed. We must accept that that is reality.
People come. People go. When a chapter ends, it only means that we are opt to flip for a new
chapter- a new beginning. We must like be Apple, we may have lost a Steve Job, still we must
continue, for there are a lot of people who depend on us, people whom we still have.
