DISCHARGE PLANNING

METHODS Rationale/Nursing Considerations/special instructions

Medications:
· Metronidazole 500 mg tab q8 (7 days) ➢ Antibiotic that stop the growth of bacteria and protozoa
· Cefuroxime 500 mg tab q8 (7 days) ➢ Antibiotic for bacterial infections
· Obimin plus 1 capsule OD 8am (2 months) ➢ A postnatal supplement to help provide adequate supply
of vitamins, minerals and omega-3 fatty acids, DHA and
EPA, during pregnancy and lactation.

· Hemarate FA 1-tab OD 8am (2 months) ➢ supplement to fight the symptoms of iron deficiency

· Calcimate (Calcium bicarbonate) 1-tab BID (2 months) ➢ a dietary supplement used when the amount
of calcium taken in the diet is not enough.

· Celecoxib 4000 mg tab BID (5 days) ➢ anti-inflammatory; treat pain or inflammation


Exercise  This is to promote normal physiologic function and regain
