 After thorough reading of the chapter,students will be able to identify and
describe the basic parts of a plant. Students will be able to describe of a flower, a
leaf, a root and a stem.
 The students will be able to:
 Identify the parts of a flower, a root, a leaf, and a stem.
 Define germination
 Illustrate understanding on the functions of each part.
 Determine the importance of flowers.

This week we are going to focus on one important plant part- the flower.

 Learn the names of the flower parts.


 You can also observe a real flower and look closely at the parts of the flower to
write down on the sticky notes why each part is important.
 Draw a flowering plant, in bloom, on a blank sheet of paper. You may use
crayons, colour markers, or other material to illustrate their parts.
 Watch the following videos repeatedly over three days. Then read the topic
“Parts of a Flower.”
