Love Story
Taylor Swift

We were both young when I first saw you

I close my eyes and the flashback starts
I'm standin' there
On a balcony in summer air
See the lights, see the party, the ball gowns
See you make your way through the crowd
And say, "Hello"
Little did I know
That you were Romeo, you were throwin' pebbles
And my daddy said, "Stay away from Juliet"
And I was cryin' on the staircase
Beggin' you, "Please don't go, " and I said
Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone
I'll be waiting, all there's left to do is run
You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess
It's a love story, baby, just say, "Yes"
So I sneak out to the garden to see you
We keep quiet, 'cause we're dead if they knew
So close your eyes
Escape this town for a little while, oh oh
'Cause you were Romeo, I was a scarlet letter
And my daddy said, "Stay away from Juliet"
But you were everything to me
I was beggin' you, "Please don't go, " and I said
Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone
I'll be waiting, all there's left to do is run
You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess
It's a love story, baby, just say, "Yes"
Romeo, save me, they're tryna tell me how to feel
This love is difficult, but it's real
Don't be afraid, we'll make it out of this mess
It's a love story, baby, just say, "Yes"
Oh, oh
I got tired of waiting
Wonderin' if you were ever comin' around
My faith in you was fading
When I met you on the outskirts of town, and I said
Romeo, save me, I've been feeling so alone
I keep waiting for you, but you never come
Is this in my head? I don't know what to think
He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring
And said, "Marry me, Juliet
You'll never have to be alone
I love you and that's all I really know
I talked to your dad, go pick out a white dress
It's a love story, baby, just say, "Yes"
Oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh
'Cause we were both young when I first saw you
FORMALISTIC APPROACH

A.What recurring patterns (repeated or related words,

images, etc.) can you find?
I’d choose the song “LOVE STORY” by Tayor Swift as an
example of formalistic approach. In the song it has a repeated
and related words that make the song more precise and head
turner to our teens who can relate to the lyrics of the song.

What is the effect of these patterns or motifs?

The effect of patters to the audience or listener it makes
them easy to recall and memorize the lyrics because of its
repeated words and patterns.

B.How does the writer’s diction reveal or reflect the works

meaning?

The writer’s diction was to reveal. It is a formalistic song

which is the words of the lyrics was a formal world that
everyone can understand and read. Because of its revealing
works it became popular to the year it has been released.
C. What figure of speech are used?

The figure of speech that are used are Simile, Methapor

D. What tone and mood are created at various stanza of

the work?
The song was entitled “Love Story” which is the whole song
has a theme of LOVE. Every line of the song shows a love
mood which is the girl named Juliet fall inlove with the boy
named Romeo.

Topic: Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are the best type of
sandwich because they are versatile, easy to make, and taste
good.

Evidence: It’s delicious. Something

fruity, something rich and fatty and
something to spread it on. Chef and
author Justin Warner calls this “the
law of peanut butter and jelly.” The fat
in peanut butter is mostly good fat, the
sweetness comes from the jelly, and
the bread is the vehicle that holds all
this gloriousness together. The
combination is basic but tasty and
satisfying.

Evidence: It’s versatile & convenient.

You can make it your own. It can be any
combination you like. PB&B with banana
or fresh strawberries, honey, chocolate
chips, bacon, or even mayo or cheese if
you’re feeling extra adventurous.
Evidence: A peanut butter and jelly sandwich contains a
few minerals including potassium, magnesium, iron,
zinc, and calcium. Potassium helps to regulate a healthy
blood pressure while magnesium and calcium play role
in healthy bones.

Thesis Statement: Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are a

classic American favorite, and with good reason, they’re
delicious! While these sandwiches may evoke sweet childhood
memories or provide an occasional sweet treat, peanut butter
and jelly sandwiches also provide some surprising health
benefits. A peanut butter and jelly sandwich has 18 grams of
fat. This could be a good chunk of your total daily fat,
depending on how many calories you consume.
ASSESSMENT

CONCEPT PAPER:
Preparing Students for Future Technology

Introduction
Students are using technology as a tool or a support for
communicating with others, they are in an active role rather than
the passive role of recipient of information transmitted by a
teacher, textbook, or broadcast. The student is actively making
choices about how to generate, obtain, manipulate, or display
information. Technology use allows many more students to be
actively thinking about information, making choices, and
executing skills than is typical in teacher-led lessons. Moreover,
when technology is used as a tool to support students in
performing authentic tasks, the students are in the position of
defining their goals, making design decisions, and evaluating their
progress.

The teacher's role changes as well. The teacher is no longer

the center of attention as the dispenser of information, but rather
plays the role of facilitator, setting project goals and providing
guidelines and resources, moving from student to student or
group to group, providing suggestions and support for student
activity. As students work on their technology-supported products,
the teacher rotates through the room, looking over shoulders,
asking about the reasons for various design choices, and
suggesting resources that might be used.
Need for this Concept
This concept needs the attention of the students, teachers
and parents.

Background
Educators have a responsibility to prepare students to
succeed in a world of digital technology (Bawden, 2008), but they
cannot easily come to a consensus about exactly how to do that
because technology continues to change so rapidly (Nelson,
Courier, and Joseph, 2011). Consequently, the concept of “digital
literacy” has emerged in the discourse among educators as they
prepare students to keep stride with new innovations. Any
instructional methods are applied in differing ways, and variances
occur, “within as well as between grade levels” (Breaux,
Danridge, and Pearson, p. 227), so it is crucial to identify the
methods that experienced teachers find most effective for
promoting the development of digital literacy while teaching
various subjects and grade levels.

Project Description
Technology provides numerous tools that teachers can use
in and out of the classroom to enhance student learning. This
project aims to identify the instructions methods experienced
teachers perceive to be most effective for improving digital literacy
at the high school level. One of the difficulties in forming a
consensus about how to best teach students about technology is
the fact that it changes so quickly. Therefore, it is reasonable to
seek guidance from experienced teachers as they continuously
modify their instructional methods to better promote digital
literacy.
Support or Budget
This project doesn’t need a budget, instead it is highly
needing time, internet and specially the gadget because it will be
held in Zoom meting for us to avoid crowd, follow our health
protocols and for the safety of everyone.

Loving the world is not the same thing as being in love with
it. It also doesn’t imply that loving the world makes you a person
of the world. In fact, I feel quite strongly that in order to truly love
the world you need a tremendous amount of courage. You also
need to cultivate an awareness or stillness to open up a space
within you to find ways to love, rather than dissociative resent, the
world. It is in attention where we fall in love. In presence.

By “The World” I mean the people, places, scenes, affect, energy,

vulnerability, and chaos of actual Life. I noticed, for example, the
subtle difference it makes to the overall sensation of being-in-the-
world when you slow down enough to take it in, and not with the
eye of scrutiny, but rather of inquisitive adoration. Finding pieces
of the puzzle to love requires nothing more of you than the
willingness to discard the mind’s exhausted narrative of how
things are supposed to feel based on past experiences, whether it
be the past in the sense of a lifetime or the past 75 minutes of
your life.

Our freedom lies in the direction of our gaze. If a particularly

cynical mood sweeps me up into a nihilistic, dissociated,
impulsive oblivion, then I will observe and not try to change
anything. The feeling should be felt, examined and abandoned
with no significant weight afforded to its resonance with pure
Being. I can only assume that the ego must act out in fits of rage
when it is threatened with death. The resistance often looks like
identification – identification with thoughts and emotions that are
not any reflection of one’s pure Being, but rather, distracting
derivations of an ego that desperately clings to the finite. I think it
is only when the ego surrenders to the infinitude of self-
replicating, expanding, courageous love that we can finally piece
together some unity in the duality and fragmentation of world-
consciousness.

Activity 8: I STAND ON MY ARGUMENT

Government should forbid same-sex marriages

Same Sex Marriage also known as gay marriage or equal

marriage it is marriage between two persons of the same
biological sex or gender identity. We made by God to glorify Him
and to do of His will not to do what we wanted because more of
the time what we wanted are not supposed to do. Also, the Pro
says that they have the right to be married. Yes, it is right that
marriage is a personal choice but it does not mean that you are
able to be married with your same sex and not considering the
laws of God about marriage because it is the Sacraments of
Matrimony so it is sacred and Holy. The next one is they have
said that it is a discrimination part to them if it will not be allowed
but not legalizing the same sex marriage proposal does not mean
gays and lesbian are being discriminated it is just their decision is
not acceptable with God and also in the Christian country like
Philippines that’s why same sex marriage in the Philippines
cannot be approved or be legalized in our country. In addition,
there are four other reasons why it should not be legalized in the
Philippines. First, because Gay/Lesbian marriage violates
traditions; Secondly, Gay/Lesbian couples can't produce children;
thirdly, having a mom and a dad is better for children than having
two moms or two dads and the last one is homosexual behavior is
immoral and should not be encouraged.
