PRELIM-MIDTERM MAJOR PLATE

DESIGN PROBLEM:
PROPOSED TWO STOREY DUPLEX RESIDENCE

PROBLEM STATEMENT:

A well-known Filipino Artist plans to build a duplex residence for his family, sister and his parents. He wants the house to
be planned and designed that will reflect his artistic ideology. As an art advocate, the features of this residence should
show uniqueness and oneness of design. The concept of modernity and the use of advance technology are mandatory as
part of the client’s preferences in the aspect of planning and overall design.

The duplex is only two storey high structure. Standard residential spaces must be provided. The proposed design should
also respond to the requirements of an elderly person, with consideration to the new normal setting.

SPACE REQUIREMENTS :
Spaces for the following users:
1. Artist and his wife
2. Only son
3. Father and mother
4. Sister
5. Maids for him and for his parents

DRAWING REQUIREMENTS :
1. Research on advance technology and its application on your design (short bond paper)
2. Concept Board (containing design philosophy, concept, sub-concepts, considerations,form transformation, etc)
3. Floor plan with Site Development scale 1:100m
4. Front and Side Elevations: scale 1:100m
5. 1-Section (showing the stairs): scale 1:100m
6. Exterior Isometric scale 1:100m

All drawing requirements to be drawn on 1/2 cartolina and can be rendered
