J. M. BIGLER COMPANY
PRODUCT GOAL
Thank you for choosing the J. M. Bigler Company. Our primary goal is to exceed our
client’s expectations! The propose of this project plan is to provide my clients with up
to date information on product development and completion. Offering instant
information on project start and completion dates, detailed project task and sub tasks,
risk control actions being taken, and contingency assessment and actions.
Time
A QUICK LOOK AT With the onset and effects of covid-19 work hours have dramatically increased. Time
THE MAJOR RISK constraints are the greatest risk to our companies’ vision of providing quality products.
ASSESSMENT We have actively mitigated this challenge by clearing two hours of schoolwork/per shift
with my superiors.
Pregnant Wife
We are expecting our first child later this year. My at home duties have increased
dramatically as my wife in incapable of assisting in many of the chores she used to do.
To combat this challenge my wife and I decided to hire lawn services to eliminate the
three hours I usually spend gardening per week. We have also accepted that chore will
be prioritized, and it is likely some of them simple will not be done for the near future.
Actively Planning
To guarantee the goals of the J. M. Bigler company are met as smoothly as possible the project plan will be
approached actively. Our project plan is not a passive check list but a living, breathing map to success! The active plan
keeps a focus on planning actions that make the project plan achievable for our team. Delineated in the following
paragraphs are the specific ways in which the J. M. Bigler company is actively planning our project.
First, daily updates to the project plan take place. Due to the busyness of life it is not possible to work on projects
within the plan each day. However, at a minimum it is important to the J. M. Bigler Company’s active plan to review and
edit the project plan each day. Daily reviews ensure a day’s stagnation does not turn into weeks. Daily updates keep the
priority of the project on the forefront of our mind. It also reduces the stress of our employees as there are no self-
inflicted surprises in need of contingencies. Daily updates also serve to help remove unnecessary information or steps
from the project plan. The J. M. Bigler Company does not reward or promote “fluff” work. We review and ensure all the
information on the project plan serves to accomplish our purpose not our egos. Furthermore, daily updates serve to
provide the most accurate information regarding project completion dates and times: Helping us to better assess and
address newly founded risks.
Next, the active language used throughout the project plan represents what the project aims to accomplish; to get
things done! You will find intentional, specific verb language in the tasks and sub tasks that set the mood for movement.
The language will also be repetitive as to not confuse those performing the work. It may seem redundant at times and
that is because it is. It is redundantly successful.
Finally, our active planning will enthusiastically focus on criticisms. All feedback, positive, negative and
everything in-between is valued by the J. M. Bigler Company and its stake holders. J. M. Bigler Company actively
reviews criticisms by placing time into the project specifically for this purpose. We also have a third party (my wife)
review the critiques offered to the company to help eliminate personal bias innate to taking criticism. Taking criticism
well has been a weaker area in our companies past and is why we want to actively highlight how we will specifically
undergo its interpretation and its importance to our company’s future.
WBS – The project plan consists of seven project phases. It is structed in this fashion to effectively organize the project by grouping the large task of receiving an A in OGL 320 into
manageable tasks and timelines.

NEW RISK – Back to work at the beginning of this phase for 7 straight night shifts. Make a to do list at beginning of shifts to ensure ASU work is prioritized while getting back into
the grove of work.
LESSON LEARNED FROM PREVIOUS PHASE – Estimated time invested was overestimated in phase two. A remind to not rush assignment as there is plenty of time to complete
quality work.

LESSON LEARED: Some products start dates were late. But the company allowed large cushions of time to accommodate. So, all products were completed well before their due
date. Will have to once more work ahead to recover the time cushion lost during this project phase.
PRODUCT PHASE 5 NEW RISKS - LESSONS LEARNED FROM PREVIOUS PHASE - NOTE:
Lesson learned: One of our project due dates were late per the project plan, although it still met the clients deadlines. However, the PM needs to be more conservative when assigning
the goal deadline during our week off from work.
