Acusis Shift Allowances Policy


Objective:

This policy provides the rules for the payment of Shift Allowances to the employees who are
working in specific shifts on demand as per their roles and responsibilities.

Eligibility & Applicability:

 Shift allowances are NOT applicable for employees those who are at and above
Manager level (Grade 5 to 1)
 NO shift allowance for the employees who are working in General shift
 NO Day shift allowance for employees who are working from home
 Shift allowances are applicable as per the below mentioned Shift Allowance eligibility
table. However, Offline QAs shall not be eligible for any shift allowances except Holiday
Allowance.
 Weekly off and Extended Shift Allowance shall be restricted to HT / HQCA Coordinators
& Systems’ team members

Definitions
Shift allowances means and includes,
 Morning shift & Afternoon shift allowance (Day shift allowance)
 Night shift allowance
 Weekly off allowance
 Holiday allowance
 Extended shift allowance
Morning Shift means any shift starting at or before 7.00 am
Afternoon Shift means any shift finishing after 9 pm or before midnight.
Night Shift means any shift starting at or after 8.00 pm or finishing at or after 5.00 am, before 8 a.m.
General Shift means any shift starting after 7.00 am or finishing before 9 pm
Holiday means Company declared holiday as per the holiday list posted in Sampark
One day Gross Salary means Monthly Gross salary divided by the number days in that month

Operative Guidelines:

 Shift allowances shall be calculated as per the eligibility table for the period from 26th of
the previous month to 25th of the present month. The amount shall be included in the
present month Payroll
 Night shift allowance for Home based employees is fixed at Rs. 125/- per shift for all
grades
 Employee who punch-in after 7.30 am shall NOT be eligible for Morning shift allowance
 Employees who punch-out before 9.00 pm shall NOT be eligible for Afternoon shift
allowance
 Employees those who are working in the Night shift shall NOT be eligible for company
provided snacks / meals
 Employees should complete 7 hours login time in a holiday / weekly off day, to be
eligible for the Holiday / Weekly off allowance. If they complete 3.5 hours, they shall be
eligible for half day allowance and no allowance for less than 3.5 hours
 Employees who works 2 to 5 hours work in night shall be eligible for Half day night shift
allowance and above 5 hours shall be considered for full night shift allowance
 Employee should complete continuous 12 hours to be eligible for Extended Shift
Allowance
