Introduction
Buchireddy is a farmer he has 30 acres of acres of land he is one of the big farmer in the
village. He has 2 sons and 1 daughter . previously he depends only on agriculture before
starting a poultry farm .
This case study is about Ajay Reddy poultry farm . The poultry is located at Jaggaraopalli
village which is on the way from Karimnagar to Vemulawada. In this case I want to explain
about- How they started it, what initial problems they faced . Situation before the covid 19
and during the covid 19.

Discussion
The Ajay Reddy poultry farm is owned by a entrepreneur named Anumula Buchi Reddy , the
farm is located in the village named Jaggaraopalli near to the Karimnagar.
The idea to establish a Poultry farm came from by seeing the other poultry farms near to the
village. There is a lot of struggle for establishing a Poultry farm, poultry farm needs a land
which is away from the village and road facilities will be available to the land.

Initial struggle
For finding funds there will a huge struggle and workers are not available for maintenance of
farm they require 3-4 members.

Employment provided
They provide employment for about 4 members . The wages for workers is 5 thousand for 2
female workers and 10 thousand for male workers and provided a rooms for both the
families.

Growth story
They started business in the year 2017 for the first 3 years the money is enough only for
paying money in banks and wages to workers. After the 3 rd year they started earning profit
which is about 2 lakhs a month

Before starting the business he is one of the large farmer in the village. He cultivates
vegetables, paddy and cotton in his field.
The idea to start a Poultry farm is by the motivation of his friend who is running a Poultry
farm he decided to start.
Once they decided to start the business he is looking for the bank loan ,he has his own land
near to the road with available water. The bank process will taken 4 months for the sansion of
money.

Source of funds

For fund they meet the near KDCMS Bank near to them for keeping poultry farm the bank
will give loan upto 1 crore rupees but from his side he has to keep his own fund upto 50
lakhs. After starting the poultry farm , for the first 3 years they have to pay a money to bank
in installments 1.5 lakhs a month. After 3 years the bank will give a subsidy of 36 lakhs and
remaining amount to be paid in next 3 years .

He utilities the fund for construction of poultry shed which is for layer birds . The capacity of
the birds is 20000 . He brings a machine for feed making which costs 30 lakhs . After
completion of building a shed he buys 15000 birds.

Challanges
There is a huge competation in the poultry farm business.
At first the marketing becomes difficult.
At first they sell in the nearby shops after 2 months the middle men came and taking the eggs
near the farm.

Impact of covid 19
At first the covid impact is more they not find the workers during covid and marketing
becomes difficult.
They started selling eggs in auto to the near villages.

The demand for eggs increased and ministers in Telangana given advertising egg gives more
protein. Government said that they are supplying eggs to the covid patients from that time
people are interested to buy eggs from the poultry and marketing also started for the near
towns.

Expansion strategies
They plan to start a shop near to the town to sell the eggs and they have a plan to establish a
organic poultry farm for organic eggs.
