The drug situation in the country may have similarities with other countries. However,
there are also distinct problems in the country which may need distinct solutions. It is, therefore,
vital to carefully look into the drug situation in the country.
Drug abuse prevention begins with education, spreading the word regarding the dangers
of drugs to oneself and to the community. These programs are just the beginning. The
information provided is most effective when it is followed up with continued support. Drug
prevention programs seek to involve the family, community or workplace in the prevention
process. Drug abuse has a pervasive effect on an entire community. Understanding drug use risk
factors and spreading the word through prevention programs is the best defense against drug
abuse. Parental monitoring has been the most effective way to slow the expansion of drugs in
family situations.
Drug abuse is affecting the youth all over the world. It is ruining the society socially,
physically, culturally, emotionally and economically. We need to raise our voice to create
awareness among people regarding bad effects of drugs. Anti-drug campaigns can help to create
awareness among people. These can be used in anti-drug campaigns to grab the attention of
people and to spread the message more effectively. Since the government proposed of having a
quarantine or lockdown to our country the campaign that I would like to do is an anti-drug
campaign video. And I would like to spread the videos through online sites or in social media. A
lot of people specially the teenagers are using their phones. And for the reason that, they can
spread the campaign video by sharing the video. And not just the teenager can see the campaign
video through online but also the parents who can teach and help their children and to avoid their
child to that kind of situation.
Dr. T.P.Chia proclaims that “Drug addiction reduces a man to a mindless and ridiculous
thing, and creates social parasites and criminals.”
