“Reduction of risk factors to reduce

Morbidity and Mortality rate”
Based on my own speculation and knowledge, and by giving specific situations that might
happen in a community, infants are more prone to morbidity and mortality especially if their
mother is still in need of nutritious food and proper care during pregnancy. There are many ways
to prevent and reduce morbidity and mortality. The following are just few of many ways to avoid
and prevent the issue:

·         During pregnancy, avoid eating unhealthy foods instead eat vegetables and fruits
that will provide adequate nutrients to the mother of the child and the child.

·         Avoid smoking and drinking alcoholic beverages.

·         Exercise based on your body's ability and the right amount of time.

·         Get enough sleep for a total of 8 hours, or at least 3 hours before 12 am.

·         Avoid being stressed even in small things as it can affect the child as well as
yourself.

In order to make all of this possible all the citizens in a community should take part and
follow the health protocols that nurses and other health workers are saying. They can conduct a
weekly check-up at all ages( children, senior citizens, pregnant). Have a proper sanitation in all
foods that they are eating and only take appropriate medicines if needed. Local authorities should
make an order to maintain the cleanliness of your barangay. All of this can be possible if we don’t
depend on those nurses and health workers, we start the reduction in ourselves.
