You are on page 1of 5

Dear Avinav,

Just with a glimpse of all the didactic articles you have presented, I am sure that your

professional assignment will turn out to be an exemplary one.

I would really appreciate it if you could start your paper by giving a short brief about the

topic of the professional assignment and then moving towards elaborating the articles.

Nevertheless, your first article about the guidelines for better reading of an employee in a

company makes me realize how important it is for us to stay well informed about the current

affairs of the company and follow instructional strategies along with our tasks. One can also

undergo various instructional strategies at the workplace like direct and interactive instruction,

experiential learning and independent study (Akdeniz, 2016). In addition to your plan of using

this article in your upcoming assignment, I would like you to explore the training and

development ideas that also indulge employees to learn and incorporate that learning into their

work activities.

Following your second article, it is very interesting that you brought an idea of using

scripts for encouraging employees to read, experience, narrate, relate and memorise them

correctly. However, I would also like to draw your attention towards the drawbacks of the

scripts in the memory of an individual which can lead them to form stereotyping and can mislead

the information that is to be correctly interpreted (Gioia & Poole, 1984). Although you have

elaborated the purpose of the article precisely, I am still not sure about your plans of

incorporating your ideas in the upcoming assignment. Although, you can include various

instances that would help in investigating an individual’s knowledge of routine activities like

visiting parks, eating at the restaurant or visiting dentist and using that knowledge to organize

and remember narrative texts.

Coming towards your third and fourth articles, the difference in individuality and their

perspective based on reading and learning can be regarded as empirical investigation that is

useful to carry to identify perspective based reading. In addition, perspective has something to do

with looking, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be a point of view (Ciolkowski et al., 1997). Next, it

is fascinating to know that there is some research regarding the idea of success and failure of a

student in a classroom just with their ability to read and interpret the points by remembering and

understanding. However, this brings me to question myself. Is it applicable in this modern era of

online learning? Rather, online learning requires more interaction, asking questions, follow ups,

group discussions, and establishing a productive learning environment (Armbrecht, 2018).

Referring to your fifth and sixth articles, I agree with the idea of using a bottom-up

model which uses phonics as a primary mode of instruction and a top-down model that supports

students' understanding as they read text as they read (Abraham, 2002). However, I struggled a

little bit to figure out your plans of using these articles in the upcoming assignment. Therefore, it

would have been great if you could elaborate more on the use of the articles. In addition, some of

the better ideas that you can incorporate in your assignment for better reading would be finding

the differences between passive and active readers, following powerful tricks used by billionaires

for effective reading, and others McGaugh, J. L. (2013).

I believe my insights will add value to your upcoming assignment. Good luck!

Best regards,

Diksha Khadka
Use in assignment

This article would help me in assessing the potential pitfalls and drawbacks of how the different

perception of different individuals impact in their reading progress and remembering ability for any

particular topic that the individuals have been rehearsing for a long period of time.

Article 6: Investigating Reading Techniques for Object-Oriented Framework Learning (Shull &

Lanubile, 2000)

The sixth article that I would be using in my journal is “Investigating Reading Techniques for Object-

Oriented Framework Learning”. This article describes about addresses software reading for construction:

how application developers obtain an understanding of a software artifact for use in new system

development.

Use in assignment

Understanding this journal article will help me in knowing out the code of frameworks required well

enough for reading and remembering in an structured format well enough for the long run.

ting in a restaurant, visiting a dentist) and how that knowledge is organized and

used to understand and remember narrative texts. We use the term

script

to refer

to these action stereotypes.

Article 2: Scripts in Memory for Text (Bower, et al., 1979)

The second article that I would be using in my journal is “Scripts in Memory for Text”. This article states

about experimenting and investigating people’s knowledge of routine activities and how that knowledge is

organized and used to understand and remember narrative texts. This article furthermore depicts the

major communication activities that leaders use in their self-development programs to communicate

fluently with individuals.

Use in assignment

This article would help me in investigating whether the reading time for adjacent statements in memory

can help individuals remember memorized concept for long enough.

This article would help me in including strategy instruction in word identification, vocabulary

and comprehension skills.
