Introduction
1.1 Origin of The Report
Compensation management is one of the essential course we have to attend to understand how
companies plan to compensate for their employee. In this course, it is mandatory to do practical
study about the compensation plan .This report has been prepared as a part of partial requirement
of the course “Compensation Management” (HRM 412) of Business Administration Department
of East West University. Our course instructor Laila Zaman, Assistant Professor has assigned us
this report as a part of the course Compensation management. She has authorized the task of
writing this report on a group basis & has given us this assignment on Employee Compensation
Plan in Berger Bangladesh.

1.2 Object of the Study


The objective of the study is to learn the practical implementation of the theories in the in the
Compensation management course. In addition to serve this purpose one person need to know
about the compensation management. The objective of this report also includes being familiar
with different compensation plan for different positions and employees in an organization and
how to implement it.

1.3 Scope of the Study


This study will help to innovate a compensation plan for employees in an organization. Our
study will help to determine the total compensation package based on internal and external
alignment. This report will provide a view of its overall compensation policy of Berger
Bangladesh. It is a comprehensive report based on an interview of a management employee of
Berger Bangladesh. We have tried our level best to do a better and flawless report.

1.4 Limitation of the Study


Like other reports, we had to face some limitations and problems which created obstacle to make
this report flawless but we have tried our level best to make a better report.
While preparing the report we had to face some problems. Such as:
 Refusal to answer some question.
 Some rules & regulations of the company which didn’t allow us to get some vital
information (pay structure).

1.5 Methodology
This report is solely based on information collected through personal phone interview & analysis
of collected data. To have better understanding of the topic we took help from some reference
books. We also collected information through internet. With the collected raw information we
analyzed and tried to determine several factors. Then we interpreted our findings presented them
in the term paper.
