LAWIN AT SISIW
(Hawk and Chickens)
This game is played by 10 or more
players. It can be played indoors
or outdoors. One player is chosen
as the 'hawk' and another as the
'hen'. The other players are the
'chickens'. The chickens stand one
behind the other, each holding the
waist of the one in front. The hen
stands in front of the file of
chickens. The hawk will 'buy' a
chicken from the hen. The hawk
will then take the chicken, asks
him/her to hunt for food and goes
to sleep. While the hawk is asleep,
the chicken will return to the hen.
The Hawk wakes up and tries to
get back the chicken he bought
while the hen and other chickens
prevent the hawk from catching the chicken. If the hawk succeeds, the chicken is taken
and punished. If the hawk fails to catch the chicken, the hawk will try to buy another
chicken.

STEALING BASES (AGAWAN BASE)

There are two bases, each
base has equal number of
members. There will be
one person assigned to
guard the base. The
others may leave the base
to run and try to catch
another members of the
other team or to try to
steal the opponent’s base.
If you touch the base of
your opponent first,
before members of that
team tag you, you steal
their base and your team
wins.
AGAWANG SULOK
A quadrangular playground is
marked off on the ground or
floor, where the game is
played. All of the players,
except for the IT or TAGGER,
stay in the corner and on the
bases. The tagger would be the
one to stand in the middle of
the ground. By the count of
three, all the players in the
corners will attempt to
exchange places by running
through across from place to
place. The tagger should try to
lock a corner or base by
rushing to any of it when no
one is there or it is vacant.

BASKETBALL
Basketball, game played between two teams of five players each on a rectangular court,
usually indoors. Each team tries to score by tossing the ball through the opponent’s goal,
an elevated horizontal hoop and net called a basket. The object of basketball is to throw
the ball (basketball) into a hoop to score points. The game is played out on a rectangular
court and depending on which section of court you successfully throw a ball into the
basket will depend on how many points are scored. The ball can be moved around the
by dribbling or passing the ball. At the end of the game the team with the most points is
declared the winner.
GUARD THE PIN
Players stand in a circle formation. A pin is placed in the middle of the circle and one
player is selected to guard the pin. The teacher gives a foam ball to the players in the
circle. Players may pass the ball to each other until they have a open shot to knock the
pin down. Once the pin is knocked down, the guard may return to the circle and a new
guard is selected.

MATBALL
Matball is a Standards-based Invasion game that is suitable for Kindergarten and
Elementary school PE programs. It is also known as big base kickball, is an indoor team
game where players try to score runs by going around the bases after kicking a ball.
Unlike kickball, the bases are large floor mats and any number of players can stay on
them at the same time before running to the next one. Players on defense can tag runners
out by catching the ball, throwing it at the runner, or touching the players with it. Once
you split up into teams and set up the field, you’re ready to play!
CROSSOVER
Two teams are chosen and placed on either side of the room. A line or cones show the
start line for each team, of which is the safe/finish zone for the opposing team. A
line/cones also are placed at the center of the two teams. On ‘go’, the teams will try to
run to the opposite side of the room. Once teams pass the centre line, they can be tagged
by the opposing team. The player can be unfrozen in two ways. First, a player who has
made it to the safe/finish zone, can give up their position, grab the shoulder of the
frozen player and return to the original side. Second, a player can come across, grab the
shoulder of the the frozen player and then return. The game ends when all players are in
the opposing sides’ safe zone.

LACROSSE
Lacrosse originated as a native American sport. In that form, it was a battle between
sometimes hundreds of tribesmen, and very often turned violent. Lacrosse today is a
rapidly growing sport, one that owes as much to finesse and trickery as it does to brute
strength and violence. If you've ever been interested in learning how to play, you've
come to the right place.
NETBALL
First played in England in 1895, netball has spread to more than 70 countries. Played
predominantly by women, the sport is similar to basketball. Two teams of 7 players try
to shoot a rubber or leather ball, measuring 27 to 28 inches (67 to 77 cm) in
circumference, into the other team's goal ring at either end of the court. The
International Federation of Netball Associations is responsible for setting the rules.

WATER POLO
Water polo is a played like a combination of soccer and basketball, but with the
physicality and endurance of wrestling or football. It is one of the world's most popular
games and was actually the first team sport admitted to the Olympics. While the finer
points of fouls and pool dimensions are somewhat complex, the basics of the game are
easy to learn and start playing quickly.
