NOTES ON THE SYNTHESIS OF FORM
“what once took many generations of gradual development
is now attempted by a single individual.”

That single individual through numerous attempts will eventually respond to the context successfully.
But the process of trial and error is time taking and brings about many problems along the way.
Kevin Lynch

of the SSN University

beyond that point into the campus

Super market | Temple Shrine

The west end of the site’s road has no landmark, not much use for the students
So, to bring people travel across. Placing a temple shrine which delivers to the major religion
in the campus. Also ensures movement and vitality in that part.

The temple co-relates with the water body as well

The Temple being in close proximity to the hostel makes it more active.
The hostel in response can use a relationship with shops opposite
and also create few shops like stationeries to create it’s own atmosphere/system

Temple Shrine - 5m² (built)

- 30m² (open)
- Space for expansion to a bigger temple

Canteen
Canteen

The canteen in campus could be symbiotic

with the high student population in the neighbouring building
The Idea is to break barriers with other buildings and students,
to offer spaces to interact and collaborate
Not having compund walls will further enchance this.

Canteen 2nos - 60m² (built)

Dining space to be open/semi-open and to combining with surrounding
open spaces to create flexible environments.
Lake has slight traces of Eutrophication
Solutions like creating a shore line of selected species as vegetation and certain treatments
are to help the lake in the future.
