The Live loads shall be assumed to act vertical upon tributary areas projected from horizontal plane, See
attached distribution diagram.

3.3 WIND LOADS ( WL)

Wind load for main structural elements shall be based on National Structural Code of the Philippines
( NSCP 4” Edition. 1992 ) Sec 2.3 and shall be calculated for any height by the following formula:
P = Ce Cq Qs I
Where:

P = Design Wind Pressure

Ce = Combined height, exposure, and gust factor coefficient
Cq = Pressure coefficient for the structure or portion of
structure under consideration
Qs = Wind stagnation pressure at the standard height of 10.0m
I = Important factor (1.15 )
The structure is assumed to be under Exposure B Exposure B has terrain with Buildings, Forest or surface
irregularities 6.0m or more in height covering at least 20% of area extending 1.5 kilometers or more
from the site.

3.4 EQUIPMENT LOAD

3.4.1 Live loads are the actual equipment loading for designated areas.

3.4.2 Distribution of loads

All equipments loads are static load include estimated dust load
Built up temporarily/ accidentally in cyclone, Built up of dust in
Cyclone has been calculated for 100% of each cyclone cone volume
and shall not occur simultaneously in more than one cyclone.

3.5 SEISMIC LOADS

3.5.1 Seismic loads for structure shall be based on National Structural

Code of the Philippines (NSCP 4” Edition) Chapter 2 Sec 2.2.5.2 for
static base shear computation.

Vc = total base shear

2= 0.40 of zone 4 (NSCP)

I = 1.25 for essential facility structure
C = 1.25 S
1^ 2/3
S = 1.2 factor for ground condition
T = Ct ( Hn)^3/4 Fundamental period of vibration of the Structure in seconds in
the direction under consideration.
