Activity 1

A. Directions: Recall some PERSONAL EXPERIENCES/DILEMMA in which you dealt with

moral standards and non-moral standards. Explain why such experience is considered
moral or non-moral. ( 2 for each standard).

MORAL

● Experience #1:

● Why is it a moral standard?

- Every weekend I help my parents to earn money for our family, even
though it is hard because my time is always limited, especially right now
because I'm an engineering student whose very grateful even our grades are
just a tres for the reason our subjects need to be learned very hard. I can say
that helping my parents to earn money is moral because that action shows
concern to the people around me that I called family.

● Experience #2

● Why is it a moral standard?

- During my Senior High school years, there are times when me and my
classmates are taking a quiz or an activity tomorrow. I am always sleeping late
because I am preparing for that certain activity, and when that day comes there is my
one classmate who is a working student and parentless that is sitting besides me,
before the exam starts i see the tiredness in his face due he is a working student. So I
decided to cheat once for him because I know that there is a deep reason why he
didn’t become prepared on that day. I can say that what I did is moral because even
though it is against the rules, I just did it for the sake of that person because I know
that he is studying hard but his time just failed him.

NON MORAL

● Experience #3:

● Why is it a NON-moral standard?

- I remember when i was just a Junior High School student, i was

suprised that i will have a muslim classmate but later on there was
deep talks about religion in our room, so he a muslim and me a
christian have a different beliefs. So I argue with him literally straight
up in his face without realising that I hurt his feelings, and with this
action I become a non-moral person because I didn't realise that what
I did to him is wrong due he got embarrassed in front of our whole
class.

● Experience #4

● Why is it a NON-moral standard?

- When both of my friends fist fight with each other for some reason, i
get angry at my one friend who was involved in that fight. I admit that this kind of my
action is non-moral, because it shows a biased action for the reason that I get easily
angry at my other friend without knowing his reason or side.
