I picked political science as it has a big impact on me and the world, I lived
in. Because understanding and dealing with the theory and practice of
politics on how political systems and political behavior can greatly affect the
world. Political science can increase my skills and knowledge by studying the
transfer of power in decision-making, the roles, and systems of governance
including governments and international organizations, political behavior,
and public policies that can lead truly best for humanity. It can provide me
the ability to develop my writing and speaking skills. Plus, enhance my
analytical and critical thinking which can enable me to recognize multiple
viewpoints and expand my overview of the current issues.
Psychology is a field involving the study of behavior and mental processes; it
attempts to understand the role human behavior plays in social dynamics
while incorporating physiological and neurological processes into its
conceptions of mental functioning. Psychology is effectively useful to many
individuals since it can reveal the reasons why people act the way they do.
Psychology helps me improve my behavior and actions. In order to create
self-confidence, decide rightfully, and build better communication.

The emergence of social science is an important period in the evolution of


contemporary wherein it began with the enlightenment and its emphasis on
rationality, philosophy, and methodology as utilized to the empirical creation.
The term "social science" first appeared in the 1824 book An Inquiry into the
Principles of the Distribution of Wealth Most Conducive to Human Happiness
by William Thompson (1775–1833).

The history of the social sciences is often divided according to discipline. It


has been considered part of the humanities but is now being classified as a
social sciences. I had learned the major disciplines of social sciences. Those
are Anthropology, Economics, Geography, History, Law, Linguistics, Politics,
Psychology, and Sociology.
