In Summary ...
Marina Dorival is an illegal immigrant of
Haitian origin. Working as a housekeeper for a
businessman who does not hesitate to abuse his
dominant position, she tried one evening to
defend herself. It was the wrong move. Violated,
bloody, unconscious, she was thrown into the
Canal de l'Ill by her attacker, Boris Vilhermé.
But in a final burst of determination, she
managed to climb a bank staircase.
Nearby, the residents of the Janus fountain
felt Marina's pain and anger. The washerwomen
who haunt the fountain, resting for many years,
have woken up with the smell of blood and the
tragedy experienced by Marina. They took
under their wing her spirit, stirring up her
anger and her desire for revenge.
Hook
Strasbourg is in turmoil. A young woman has
been found abused and unconscious near the
Cathedral. In a coma, a call was made to identify
her, with no success. The next morning, a young
man from the Neuhof district was found a few
blocks away. Placed in a shroud, with no
apparent signs of violence, no one can explain
this death. This unfamous hot neighborhood
wants answers.

closed question about the past or the future
through one of his involuntary heralds. On 7-9,
choose an option: an unpleasant answer to a
question you didn't necessarily ask yourself, the
promise of a service to be rendered, a
temporary phobia of closed doors.
When you try to overcome the charm that
Marina imposes on you, roll +Cool. On 10+, the
effect does not work on you. On 7-9, choose an
option: refuse its control and take -1 continuous
against Marina and the Washerwomen, or
accept her control and take 1XP.
When you perform the ritual to bring
Marina's soul back to her body, roll +Weird.
Take +1 ongoing if her revenge has been
satisfied, even partially. On 10+, her soul returns
to her body and she will wake up in a few days,
with no memory. On 7-9, her soul rejoins her
body, and you choose an option: she remembers
what she has done, she acquires a sensitivity to
the spirits, the spirit of revenge is still present
and only asks to reappear.

MARina Dorival, vengeful spirit
Driven by the Washerwomen of the Janus
Fountain, Marina Dorival's spirit attacks lonely
men once the night comes. She attracts them,
charms them and then delivers them to the
Washerwomen, who take care of drowning the
unwary and then wrapping him in a shroud.
As she grew in power, the spirit moved
further and further away from the fountain,
following the canals of the Ill. She will start to
gain confidence, no longer afraid to attack
groups, even facing the sun's rays for a few
moments. Marked by the events that led to her
new condition, she only attacks men. She will
only stop once she has taken her revenge
against Boris Vilhermé.
Motivation: Blind revenge.
Powers: evanescence, charm, grip, water
manipulation.
Weakness: the light of day, its ancestors'
magic, the object of her vengeance.
Attacks: Projection (2-damage, long)

The Midnight Washerwomen
Thirty years ago, artist Timo Hillberger met a
woman who offered to help him break through, in
exchange for a small service. Timo quickly accepted
and obtained many commissions, including the Janus
Fountain. The woman presented herself to him again,
and asked him to insert a stone of power into the
structure, otherwise their agreement would be null
and void and his successes non-existent.
This stone came from an old washhouse sheltering
the tormented and violent spirits of infanticidal
mothers, the Night Washerwomen. Marina's tragedy
woke them up, and they're hungry. They have
attracted the young woman's spirit to themselves, and
use it to gather souls, in order to get enough power to
escape from the fountain and achieve eternal rest.

house would free them, but they defend it at all costs.

Countdown
❑ The Midnight Washerwomen take under
their wing the spirit of Marina Dorival. Steve
N'Dam, a small weed trafficker, is attacked and
killed by Marina and the Washerwomen.
❑ Valentin Tertre, a drunk student, is attacked
and killed. His body drowned and placed in a
shroud is dropped at the foot of the Cathedral.
❑ Joanne Lepetit is attracted to the fountain
by the spiritual vibrations that emanate from it.
She witnessed the drowning of George Vaniez, a
homeless man in his fiftieth year.
❑ Marina Dorival is seen near Boris Vilhermé's
business office in broad daylight. She causes
accidents and tries, without success, to access her
offices.
❑ Boris, participating in the Strasbourg
marathon, passes by the fountain and is attacked
by Marina and the Washerwomen. Several other
participants are injured or even drowned.
❑ Marina having accomplished her revenge,
she disappears. Joanne takes the opportunity to
take control of the Washerwomen through a
voodoo ritual.
