with a strong seasonal variation: grass, fruits, leaves and
branches of trees and shrubs, submerged and floating aquatic
plants and agricultural crops. Greater one-horned rhinos eat on
average 1% of their body weight daily, and are known to swim

By covering their skin in mud, this aids thermo-regulation by
preventing overheating, and also suffocates any ticks or parasites
that are embedded on the surface of the skin.

PAG Fácil: Advanced Learning English 2 for Grade XI Senior High School 136

species of rhino, Greater one-horned rhinos have very long
lower incisor teeth that can be used in fighting to inflict deep
wounds. In males they can grow Soundup to 8 cm long.
Sound In greater one-horned rhinos 12 different communication sounds
are known which are frequently used, including snorts, honks

the wild; while the longevity record for those in captivity is 40
years.
Swimming They are very good swimmers and can dive and feed under

Salutation Hey Anne,

All the best to you for this time! How are you doing at the moment in

Surabaya?
Opening All the best to you for this time! How are you doing at the moment in

Surabaya? Do you want to know how my trip to Bangkok? It was an enjoyable

trip as it was my first time to Bangkok. The plane landed at Suvarnabhumi

Airport, Bangkok.
Body On the first day, we visited Chao Phraya river in the evening. We had dinner

on board with sea food menu, while the ship was sailing along the rivers. The

view was very exotic as we could see the lights glaring and flashing from the

building along the river side, and life music along the cruise.

On the second day, we sailed by the traditional wooden boat at the Chao

Phraya river. We visited Wat Arun, a Buddhist temple featuring Khmer style

Buddhist towers. After that, we visited the Museum of Madame Tussauds, the

wax museum which exhibits the models of outstanding people throughout the

world and you could touch, hug, play with and even kiss.

In the afternoon, we went to Pattaya by bus. Pattaya is 147 kilometers

southeast of Bangkok, facing the Gulf of Thailand. The beach is beautiful.

Visitors can go sailing, swimming, sunbathing and so on.

In the evening, I strolled along the Pattaya Walking Street. It is the street that

is free from vehicles from 06.00 pm. - 02.00 am. There are beer bars, go-go

bars, sport bars, discos, cabaret shows, massage parlors, and a wide range of

ethnic restaurants as well as seafood line up in the main street.

On the third day, we had a swim at the hotel swimming pool at the sea side,

but on another occasion, I swam at the sea as well. The sea was clear and safe.

In the afternoon, we got ready for check out and returned to Bangkok, and

flew back to Indonesia.
