The career talk focuses the new normal. How we will be when we graduate and how we can achieve our
way to success to the future. This Career talk prepared us for the corporate world we are about to enter.
And how we will succeed in our endeavors as we are discharged from school with our knowledge, skills,
and those we learned ourselves through years of learning and adapting, providing us with information on
how life works and how to innovate, providing advice on how we will navigate life after graduation, and
passing on their knowledge to the Next Generation. The first speaker addresses how our lives have altered
from our previous normal to the new normal that has emerged because of the Pandemic that we are presently
experiencing. By creating new innovations and new ways for the construction industry to continue to
develop and continue to serve its clients, such as the Digital Walkthrough. The speaker also advised the
students to “adapt in order to survive,” which means creating innovations in every situation to rise above,
using digital exposure in and out as leverage, and “be as flexible as you can” for being a work from home
and far from what we are used to, which can result in freelancing, which requires a great deal of
specialization. Cloud-based BIM, Digital Twin, Geo Enabled Technologies, and 3D printing are examples
of innovation in the midst of the epidemic, which reduces the need for human-to-human interaction, which
is critical in this hard time The skills to succeed school also covers how to conduct yourself during
interviews and how to ace your way into being recruited by the firm where you wish to gain experience.
Good posture, eye contact, avoiding allowing your gaze to wander away from the interviewer, a handshake
hand gestures, and smiling politely are all examples. Treating others well is free and being a decent person
can help you obtain the job you want. Having a pleasant attitude and being modest will help you get the job
you want. The speaker also goes over the dos and don'ts of going into an interview. Communication abilities
are valued and vital. “Life is a learning process,” says the speaker, who also emphasizes the need of humility
and communication. Communication skills are important in many aspects of life, both online and offline.
Listening and being on the same page are essential for effective communication. As twenty-first-century
graduates, we are expected to be problem solvers, inventive thinkers, and communicators as we enter the
new world. We all use the internet as part of our everyday lives these days, whether we are students or
employees.
