This repeatability test produced a calculated standard deviation below the rounding error of the balance. In this case, the standard deviation has to be
replaced by the rounding error of 0.41 × d for the assessment of the repeatability test and the calculation of the minimum weight.
All calculations, and the assessment of the repeatability requirement are performed in the software to 16 decimal places. However, the printed result for
the standard deviation is shown with one digit further than the readability of the test that has been performed. In the case where the 0.41d rule applies,
then the standard deviation is shown with two additional digits. Furthermore, the minimum weight is printed with three significant digits. The result of the
repeatability assessment is shown with four digits after the decimal place, which equals to two digits after the decimal when represented as a percentage.
Accuracy
Sensitivity Test
The tolerance for the assessment of an individual balance property in respect to accuracy is 0.05%. This ensures adherence to the overall
accuracy requirement of 0.10% because other balance properties might also limit the accuracy of the instrument.
