The Department of Education Central Office (DepEd CO) extends our gratitude and
commendation to you in successfully delivering last year’s two (2) batches of the Virtual
Leadership in the Pandemic: A Learning and Development Intervention (LDI) for DepEd Leaders and
Managers in the New Normal.

As programmed, the remaining four (4) batches are slated to be conducted this F.Y. 2021.

TERMS OF REFERENCE

Activity Title: Virtual Leadership in the Pandemic: a LDI for DepEd


Leaders and Managers in the New Normal
Purpose: To support the managers and leaders in
developing/enhancing competencies required to
adapt in the new normal of working.
Learning Objectives: 1. Discuss unique challenges faced by leaders in
the public sector in present times and.
2. Identify leadership competencies needed to lead
remote teams and embrace uncertainties of this
global crisis.
3. Discuss current practice of public sector
managers in managing teams and identify
effective strategies in managing visibility of
remote teams and in effectively facilitating
virtual meetings.
4. Identify practical tips and plan on how to
prioritize and manage self, employees’ well-
being and teams remotely.
Medium and Web-based (synchronous (live) & asynchronous (self-
Methodology of paced)) learning with:
Learning Delivery: • PowerPoint Presentations
• Lectures/ Discussions
• Interactive Activities/Reporting
• Exercises

Duration of Engagement: Four (4) batches of a three-day program with a


combination of synchronous and asynchronous
learning method.
Target Participants: DepEd Central Office Personnel (SG 18-24) with
managerial or supervisory position.
