Oh, hi there! Welcome to our home!

I am Brent and today, I’ll be taking you to a glimpse of my day-to-day

life, or basically my weekend life since I consume my weekdays for school purposes. This is not just a
normal what-i-do-on-a-daily-basis video but we’re also going to spice it up with a little bit of Physics. Not
only will you be having a peek of what I do but you’ll also learn more about the concept of matter in a
deeper depth and apply it to daily life. Let’s waste no time and let’s get started!

Hay, good morning! Usually, I wake up at around 6 am in the morning, just straight from a nice, cozy 8-hour
sleep. And before I bring myself up, of course, I open my eyes. Just kidding! Before I sleep, I put a glass of
water beside my bed and when I wake up, I drink it so that as early as 6 am, my body will be temporarily
energized. Where’s the physics there, you may ask. Well, water gives me the ENERGY to do daily work.
Also, the glass water applies LAW OF INERTIA because as stated in the First Law of Motion, “An object at
rest stays at rest unless acted upon by an external force”. As I pick up the glass of water, the inertia breaks.

Before I leave the room, I fix my bed. Okay na Lianne?

Of course, I won’t be able to leave my room without opening the door. So, as I bring my body up, as I
approach the door, I will pull it so that it opens. FORCE is being applied whenever I open the door! Again,
just a refresher, FORCE is a push or pull upon an object resulting from the object's interaction with another
object.

Now, the next thing I do is cook breakfast for the family. Usually, what I often cook are eggs and bacon, a
little bit of tidbit, which is my favorite meal platter. As I turn on the gas stove, heat is transferred to the pan
with oil. As I fry the eggs or the bacon, there is a reaction. Can you recall what law of motion that is? It’s the
THIRD LAW OF MOTION! “To every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.” As the eggs and
bacon are being fried, there is a reaction of popping which indicates that the meals are being fried or cooked.

After I cook, I also set out the table. As a responsible Kuya and son, as much as possible, I try to help out
and respect their time since my parents have their respective jobs and my siblings have tons of school work
to do. My siblings are still not accustomed to managing their time meanwhile I am able to manage my time
and do my school tasks on time. I know their burden so as much as possible, I do every work I can to lessen
their tasks. In this chore, I apply WORK which is is the energy transferred to or from an object via the
application of force along with a displacement. So as I place down the placemats, plates, spoon, and fork, I
transfer energy through force.

Weirdly, I also wash the dishes after we eat. When I wash the plates, I apply CENTRIPETAL
ACCELERATION as it applies uniform circular motion to wipe off the dirt in the plate. Usually, when I
wash, the speed in rotation is constant but the directions are changing, so basically, the velocity is also
changing!

After I wash the dishes, I take a bath. You might want to look back for a while! Just joking. I’m done!

To kick start my day, what I love to do is to bake. Fun fact, I was already about to start a business, well
selling fresh carrot cakes, but I’ve been holding onto that plan because I have to do a lot of things. Anyways,
today we’re going to bake cookies! In this activity, MEASUREMENT is applied. Proper measuring is
critical to baking. Baking is a science, and when you mix together ingredients, you're creating chemistry,
albeit edible chemistry, so being precise is important.
My cookies usually takes around 15 minutes to bake. What I do for past time is I workout! Chloe Ting is my
go-to youtube channel and as I perform different exercises, I excert ENERGY and POWER. So tiring but it
solidifies my body to be stronger and healthier!

Our cookies are done! Let’s now take it out of the oven. Ouch, hot! Okay, let’s let it cool down for another
ten minutes. Since the oven took the cookie mixture in extremities of heat and this will take TIME to cool
down. Physics is the only science that explicitly studies TIME, so that’s what is being applied in this waiting
game.

During those 10 minutes, I do another round of exercise! I use the time to use our treadmill to, and what for?
To run! ACCELERATION and ENERGY is very evident in this activity. As I raise the speed of the
treadmill, the faster the change, the greater the acceleration!

I’m tired already. Looks like our cookies are ready! 1 2 3, mhm, yummy!

As a responsible student, for me to uphold my dignity in school, even in weekends, I do school works!
Here’s a glimpse of me dancing for our Calculus PeTa, and as I begging to move my body, the FORCE is
increasing with each motion and gaining momentum. I also apply ENERGY in this as I glide my body into
making movements.

After all the activities I’ve performed, I think my body stinks already so I’ll take a bath. Poof. I’m done!

I’ll take my dog for a walk within our barriers. What a cutie! Due to the inverse relationship between mass
and acceleration, since I have greater mass, I tend to move slower. The dog, whose mass is less than mine,
moves faster. This scenario justifies Newton’s SECOND LAW OF MOTION in real life by establishing a
relationship between mass, acceleration, and force.

From all the activities I’ve done this day, I need to rest and sleep. Sigh. (yawns). When I sleep, I exert force
on the bed. According to Newton’s THIRD LAW OF MOTION, the bed then exerts that same force back on
me who is sleeping. Gravity holds me down to the bed which makes me keep grounded

So basically, that’s my weekend life! I hope that as you have ventured into my realm, you have gained
knowledge too about Physics. Thank you for watchin, bye!
