In this chance i would like to bring an issue about “Competition in

workplace”.

Nowadays competition become something that we have to do in every parts of life.

Population grows while vacancy is limited. Many people know that finding a job is not piece
of cake. Many people become jobless while living expenses is become more expensive.
People who wants to get a job will find so many requierements that they need to have. There
are so many things they have to do before they get a job. Send their curriculum vitae and
make application letter. Indeed they also need to do some test and handle a tough interview
question before they work in company. Here, the competition will grow between the
applicants. Company will make a hard selection to choose which person that they need for
their vacancy. They will look into many constituents, such as appearance, skill, personality,
personal strength, experience, to name a few. Even after work in company, people will face
more competition between workers in a company as well as other company.

As we know, workplace is not school where student only think about to learn. In workplace
people who become a worker need to achive a target in company as well as improve
themselves. Why? Because company need people who can fulfil their target and improve
themselves in order to improve their company. Workers need to work hard for their
improvement and win the competition. Workers need to cope with many tasks and duties. So,
they need to be skillful, creative, dependable, and responsible.

Workers need to learn more even after they work if they want to be promoted. Workers have
to enchance their ability. Because if they only have general ability and does not have
improvement, company could find another people who have more than general ability in the
future. Many aspects is needed to make workers promotable. Workers need to pay attention
for the fresh information as well as acknowledgement, and never stop educate themselves. Be
up to date person and open minded person is one of many ways to improve. Which means
workers could not be resistant for any comments that will be improve.

Beside smart, educated and experienced workers, company needs workers who could build
their image in society. Interaction with others is also important. Good interpersonal skill such
as; well-mannered and well-dressed will bring a good image for a company. Being an
attractive, professional and fast-learner will be an important point for workers to be promoted
and success in workplace. Those who wants to win the competition in a workplace should be
one step a head.
