1. Explain how you classified each news headline.

- I would classify them as bad news for the public, something that would
make everyone’s perception different and it gives more awareness for the
others. Truly it is a bad news.

2. How did you distinguish between intentional and unintentional injuries?

- By distinguishing the phrase and grammar used in the headline.

E. Engagement (Time Frame: DAY 2)

Activity 2 – The Impact of Abuse and Violence Directions: Analyze the following
illustrations. Answer the guide questions afterwards.

Guide Questions:

1. What types of intentional injuries are being portrayed in the illustrations?

- Verbal abuse which in words are used to offend or hurt someone. It is the
most common yet painful usage of bullying that left scars throughout
different people of different generation. The other one describes
Molestation which in there is a use of sexual act for pleasure and profit.

2. Based on these illustrations, what are the effects of intentional injuries on

their victims?

- The injuries inside or outside could grow on them and may cost them their
choices, relationships and even their daily lives.

3. What are the other impacts of intentional injuries?

- Such as Terrorism, Molestation, Extortion, Gang, Stalking, Kidnapping and many

more.

A. Assimilation (Time Frame: DAY 3)

Activity 3: Agree or Disagree?

Directions: Read the following statements carefully, then write AGREE or

DISAGREE for each item in your worksheet and provide explanation for your
response.
1. If a child misbehaves, it is okay for him/her to receive a corporal
punishment.

- The punishment must depend on the behavior that the child gave. There
are some behaviors of a child that is simply reasonable. Totally my
answer is AGREE and DISAGREE. It is effective for immediately comply
but overuse of it may affect the child’s growth as a being.

2. Fraternity hazing is acceptable because it is an initiation rite to the

brotherhood.

- It may be an initiation rite to the brotherhood but from what I’ve heard
in some Frats there has been a sexual assault and abduction in their
houses. It may not be the same for everyone but that is something that
would change someone’s, including myself’s perspective about it. I
agree and disagree at the same time since it does help with Leadership
and Brother/sisterhood yet there is still a caution that worries me in
different kind of frat house. There are better choice for learning
leadership.

3. A woman who acts and dresses provocatively deserves to be raped.

- A huge disagree. Woman can dress whatever they want it is only the
matter of clothes they must use in the right occasion that matters.
Provocatively or not, no person shall be raped and sexually harassed.
