2ND Semester SY. 2020 – 2021
2nd Year

Couse Code HCI

Course Name Human Computer Interaction
This course teaches students to design user interfaces based on the
capabilities of computer technology and the needs of human factors.
Students design a user interface for a system and implement a prototype
Course Description
from a list of informal requirements. Moreover, this subject will also
throw a light on the current tools and practices and the future aspects of
HCI designing.
Time: 3 HOURS/WEEK

At the end of the semester, the students can:

1. describe typical human-computer interaction (HCI) models, styles,

and various historic HCI paradigms.
2. apply an interactive design process and universal design principles
to designing HCI systems.
3. describe and use HCI design principles, standards and guidelines.
Course Outcomes 4. analyze and identify user models, user support, socio-
organizational issues, and stakeholder requirements of HCI
systems.
5. discuss tasks and dialogues of relevant HCI systems based on task
analysis and dialog design.
6. analyze and discuss HCI issues in groupware, ubiquitous
computing, virtual reality, multimedia, and World Wide Web-
related environments.
