Advantages and Disadvantages To Live Abroad
DISADVANTAGES TO
LIVING ABROAD
One important advantage of living abroad is that you can get to know
new cultures and ways of life. However, some people might have a
culture shock when being immersed in a completely different country. It
takes some time to get used to such a new environment, but it’s
achieved.
Another benefit of living abroad is that you will have to learn how to take
care of yourself. In fact, there will be nobody who supports you in foreign
countries and you will have to figure out how to manage your daily life
on your own. All this may feel quite overwhelming at first, yet you will
develop a sort of independency spirit.
If I lived abroad, I really would miss the ceviche, because it’s my favorite
dish; also, I would miss my family and friends, I think that the worst part
of moving abroad is get away from your loved ones.
Nowadays, in my community there are a lot of Venezuelans, who have
had to moving to Peru because their country Venezuela have a lot of
economics problems. I have 3 Venezuelans neighbors and they said me
that at the beginning, it’s hard but bit by bit they can get work and send
money to their families in Venezuela.
I would like to live in Canada because I have heard for Peruvians it’s more
easily to get the green card thanks to the FTA (free trade agreement), in
Peru is better known like “TLC (Tratado de libre comercio)”. In this
country Peruvians have more benefits to work and study in some
universities. And that way, we can earn more money. Another benefit of
living in Canada is that the salary is higher than in Peru.
