Task 1

Conrad complete

Using the boss extrude command to extrude the lower half of the conrod for where it connects to a
crankshaft.

Using the boss extrude command to extrude the upper half of conrod for where the piston head and
end cap bolt connect to. Both ends of the conrod are 139mm apart and this is achieved using a
centre line.

Using the cut extrude command to remove the excess material from the inside the lower half of the
conrod where it connects to a crankshaft.

Using the fillet command to add a radius and smoothness to the side of the conrod shaft and lower
half.

Using the thread hole wizard to specify where the holes and threads for the rod bolts used to secure
the big end cap and conrod to a crankshaft.

Using the fillet command to add a radius and smoothness to the side of the big end of the conrod.

Conrod & Big End Cap

Using the split command to separate the conrod complete and create the conrod and big end cap
(see pic below).

Rod Bolt

Using the boss extrude command to extrude the shank length that will be threaded for the rod bolt.

Using the thread hole wizard to specify the correct thread length and pitch for the thread shank.

Using the boss extrude command to extrude the length of the flange/washer.

Using the cut extrude command to form the top of the hex head of the bolt.

End Cap Bolt

Using the boss extrude command to extrude the length of end cap bolt to its specified length.

Using the chamfer command to create a chamfer on the outside edge of the end cap bolt.

Using the chamfer command to create a chamfer on the inside edge of the end cap bolt.

Piston

Using the cut extrude command to create slot for the top end of the conrod to fit into.

Using the cut revolve command to create three groves on the side of the piston head.

Using the fillet command to create a fillet for the inside of the piston head.

Using the mate command to mate two pieces (Conrad and Big End Cap) together.

Using the explode command to produce an exploded view of all the parts used in the drawing.

Task 3

Using the surface fill command to create a surface for the mouse.
