Self-Test Routine X-
Procedure for service technicians 27.05.2004
1. Software version
• To view software version press „MODULE“ Switch test
during power on. The text „BEHRINGER X-V- 1. STORE
AMP V1.xx” will be scrolled across the
display. 2. NOISE G.

• Restore factory presets by pressing keys 3. COMPR.


„STORE“ and „TAP“ together during power 4. DOWN
on. After the reset, display shows “0”.

• Press and hold keys „NOISEG“, „MODUL“,
„REVERB“ during power on. 8. REVERB

• LED test pattern A -> press “TAP” 9. - not used -

• LED test pattern B -> press “TAP” 10. TAP

• Display shows „P“ for switch contact test. 11. PEDAL switch
Press each switch, including footswitches and
pedal switch.
Note: after switch test set pedal to fully “open” Encoder test
• Display shows „E“ for encoder function test. 1. Gain
Turn both encoders. 2. FX / AMPS
• Pedal calibration. Display shows „PU“. Push
pedal fully down (closed) to end of travel.
Display shows „PL“. Bring pedal back to fully Switch combinations:
open. Again, display shows „PU“. Press pedal (press and hold together during power on)
switch.
Factory test (System 1) NoiseG+Modul+Reverb
• Display shows „d2, d3“ Internal DSP Tests
carried out. Audio test Delay + Compressor
Revision test Modul
• Display shows „A1“: Digital Zero -> TAP to
continue LED Test Compr+Modul+Delay
• Display shows „A2“: Audio Bypass -> TAP to Pedal Calibration Delay+Reverb
continue
• Display shows „A3“: 42 dB Gain -> TAP to
continue
• Display shows „A4“: 0 dB Sine ca. 1kHz ->
TAP to continue (For software V1.26 onwards,
pedal calibration at this point)
• Press „TAP“ und „REVERB“ together, display
shows „CL“ -> Reset.
