I. Introduction

A. Description of the Business

What is Korean Pop? Who is not aware of the current trend trends? However, it
was usually referred to as K-pop. Korean pop or K-pop is a new cultural phenomenon
that has swept the globe. Who has not heard the name like IU, IKON, Red Velvet, Psy,
Super Junior, Twice, Blackpink, EXO, BTS, 2NE1, Big Bang, Girls Generation, NCT,
SuperM, and other K-pop idols? And if not everyone is aware of them, they have almost
definitely been heard of them. Their success, popularity and influence has reached all
corners of the globe. Many people have been introduced to Korean popular culture in
recent years, including members of film industry, music artists, writers and others.
Korean music is one of the influence that has a pretty much an impact for Filipino
teenagers. Korean Idols enliven the Philippines music industry with a style of music and
their performances are inspired from Korean boyband and girlband. When a K-pop Idol
performs or held a concert in the Philippines, the fans typically carry merchandise that
reflects and represents the idol’s personality or character.

Enthusiasm of Philippine young people greatly to the Korean music that


encouraged some businessman to take advantage of this moment by selling a variety of
merchandise related to the Korean Idol Group. This is an enterprise that has a lot of
potential. Since K-pop is now well-known in the Philippines, and Filipino teenagers’
passion for the genre is high, it’s questionable if any of the merchandise will be
purchased or bought by fans. Since the most of them want to own items associated with
their favorite idol group. For example like, CD/DVD, Album, Posters and etc. are the
example of merchandise which are sold out bought by fans. There are still a lot of
merchandise which sold by some entrepreneur of K-pop merchandise.

The business name is “SeoultoSoul_ph”, which is a K-pop Merchandise business


that will sell different merchandise of a certain idol. The SeoultoSeoul_ph is an online
shop that offers information about selection of the most popular Kpop merchandise and
apparel Official and Unofficial K-pop Merchandise including albums, CD/DVD, T-shirts,
Keychains, Pillowcase, Plushies, bag, mug, stickers and etc. that we found interesting and
worth of introducing to the broader audience and I can sell at a very affordable price.

Vision:

a physical store to grow and expand my business for Filipino consumers for

Mission:

variety of different K-pop merchandise and serves as a point of relation and
connection between Korean Idols and their fans.

II. Executive Summary

Watching concert by our favorite artist feels so empty without merchandise which
showed a characteristic of the group or artist. Nowadays, having a merchandise which
related to a favorite Idol group is a must.

K-pop Merchandise or Korean Pop Merchandise is an items that every Korean


Idols’ Fans needed. K-pop merchandise has become an important and integral part of
the k-pop business. Many fans shows their support for their favorite artists by
purchasing and buying their merchandise even though it cost money and may not be
delivered on time and to listening to their music. Aside from the well-known albums,
there are variety of other collectibles items created to purchase and please us. As the
South Korean music becomes more widely recognized across the globe, the market is
becoming more competitive.

The SeoultoSoul_ph will feature a most popular K-pop merchandise. The shop
will accept messages through the selective online platforms like Instagram, Facebook
and Twitter from 8 am to 10 pm, Monday to Saturday only. This shop will also care
about the employees.
The SeoultoSoul_ph will execute their business first is to rent an affordable
address in Korea and find a supplier of Official and Unofficial K-pop merchandise
that offers affordable costs. After finding a Supplier, the owner of the business will be
posting items that they have purchased from their suppliers through the given social
media platforms, Then, Customers can now do the messaging and transactions from
the SeoultoSoul_ph shop owner, and the owner of the SeoultoSoul_ph wil also send a
forms that customers they need to fill out about the desired K-pop Merchandise. And
if they already purchased a certain K-pop merchandise the owner of the business will
eventually update the customers by posting whether the items is secured or in transit
already because delivery will take some time to arrive. Last, If the delivery box that
contains merchandise from the supplier of Official and Unofficial K-pop
merchandise, the owner of the SeoultoSoul_ph can now update the customers so that
they will not worry about their purchased items and do the own style of packaging
from SeoultoSoul-ph and deliver again from the customer who purchased certain K-
pop merchandise. We will not force customers to give some feedback and we will
prioritize every customers’ requests if there is needed but to ensure them that they
will be satisfied about the SeoultoSoul_ph shop.

SeoultoSeoul_ph mode of payments are BPI, BDO, G-Cash, Palawan Express,


and Paypal only. The shipping mode is LBC and J&T Express. The ETA’s (Estimated
Time of Arrival) are indicated every batch and tracking numbers will immediately be
provided to you if we approve your desired items.

 OWNER - Owner is responsible for the growth, stability, and daily operation of the
business. She/he is also responsible for messages together with the marketing manager
and production manager from the customers and etc.

 PRODUCTION MANAGER- A production manager’s role is to focus on the process of

 MARKETING MANAGER - A marketing manager is responsible for managing the


promotion and positioning of a brand or the products and services that a company sells.
They are also in charge of sales unit and advertising to attract more customers to buy
from the business.

 FINANCIAL MANAGER – A financial manager is responsible for the accounts, audit,


budget planning, and prepare financial statements, business activity reports, monitor
finances to ensure that legal requirements are met and etc.

 SERVICE DELIVERY MANAGER and INVENTORY CLERK- A service delivery


manager's role focuses on keeping clients satisfied with the business’ services through
managing projects, fixing any reliability issues, tracking service metrics, and responsible
for getting services delivered to clients safely and in a good condition. An Inventory
Clerk is responsible for managing and maintaining all inventory, parts or products,
including recording new items within a stock room or warehouse.

The SeoultoSoul_ph target market is composed more on teenagers ages from 14 to


25. The target customer is someone that is K-pop Merchandise enthusiast people who
wants to collect a certain K-pop Merchandise. The SeoultoSoul_ph also targets people
who is attracted to our product even though they are not collectors.

as the country with the most K-Pop related Tweets, proving they’re a country that
loves the Korean idol industry. The data was released by Twitter themselves in
collaboration with K-Pop Radar. The list of top artists by market was derived
from the total number of artist hashtags and account mentions from July 1, 2019
to June 30, 2020. For the top 5 is the TWICE, One of the biggest Filipino K-Pop
fandoms is undoubtedly ONCEs! TWICE has a large male fanbase that came out
in full force when they visited the country in 2019.Top 4 is Tomorrow by
Together (TXT), TXT is not just a rising group in Korea, but also in the
Philippines. Their refreshing songs, boyish visuals, and all-around talent have
amassed them a growing fanbase. Top 3 is EXO, EXO has been one of the largest
groups in the Philippines ever since their debut. Pinoy EXO-Ls have never
wavered in their support. Whenever they visit the country as a whole or sub-unit,
tickets sell out right away. Top 2 is BLACKPINK, BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU
DDU-DU” is one of the most recognized K-Pop songs in the Philippines, being
played in radio stations, TV shows, and online platforms. Another proof of their
popularity was when the Manila leg of their tour 2019 WORLD TOUR [IN YOUR
AREA] MANILA was attended by thousands of fans and numerous Filipino A-list
celebrities. Top 1 is Bangtan Sonyeondan (BTS), According to

love K- pop. First, the dynamic choreography, before making their debut, K-pop
artists undergo extensive preparation and mentoring. Their abilities and
capabilities are evident in their music videos, and they show it in their live shows
by doing the same (or even better). Filipinos are impressed of their music videos
because K-pop choreography is considered to be complicated and complex. One
of the most notable characteristics of K-pop fans is their desire to memorize (and
perform) their favorite songs' choreography. Second, the charming personalities.
Fans of K-pop artists are fascinated by them, which is why they show their love
and support. Since their idols are good to their fans, fans enjoy interacting with
them. Third, the trendy attire, Filipinos love K-pop because the artists look great

business card/Thank you card. Every fans are also worried about their parcel
because they want to ensure, display, own and keep a high-quality K-pop
Merchandise. Through our packaging concept we will organize our packaging
base on how to meet the expectation and satisfaction of our customers which is
very secured and safe. The bubble wrap are used to protect the purchased items
from defect. Well sized box to fit the items that every customers purchased. The
own designed (black or white) recyclable paper bag is also part in packaging to at
least they can have a remembrance from our shop and they can also use it to save
