PED004 in Online Learning Set-up: Signing off

You only live once, they say but if you do it right, then once is enough.
This nightmare called Covid-19 transformed almost everything in our life into
a new world. Every individual is affected and struggled with physical, financial,
and educational aspects. Teachers, students, and parents strived to surpass
these challenges in the new normal of academic affairs. A new normal in which
DB-Flex Learning aided also relieves the burden in these hurdles.

At first, I am quite excited with this subject since my PED004 assigned

sport is ‘basketball’. The possibility of having swimming as my subject wrecks
my nerves, only thinking of it gives me chills. My friends and I talked about
how excited we were in the group chat regarding this and I realized I am not
the only one who feels the same way. It also feels like we were chatting
ordinarily in school, oh how I miss face-to-face classes.

Performing the activities needed is quite challenging. It requires a lot of

energy, time, familiarization, executing, and even finances. In Polomolok, all
basketball courts aren’t availables, it’s either missing basketball rings,
covered rings, blocked courts, or a temporary office for Purok beneficial
matters. Considering that situation, it adds difficulty on the task given.
Personally, I am doing my tasks at home with a limited space to utilize. I
consider myself lucky in my situation comparing it to some of my other
classmates who don’t have spaces to use at home and needed to find available
area outside their homes. Noting that it is not safe to go out, risking our health
just to execute the tasks required.

Accomplishing tasks in this class are like road trips on a rough road,
you can often drive fast but slows you down because of the potholes.
Considering that the Philippines' internet connection is very weak, the already
slow mbp/s makes it even slower. It always makes me say, “Hinaya sad oy
T^T tabaaaang!!!!” when watching lectures/tutorials and uploading files in
google drive, google chat, and VLE.

PED004 helped me to step up towards becoming a basketball player.

Kidding aside. The tutorials and modules imparted new learnings to me
effectively despite of the hurdles in this new normal. I believe greater things
are bound to happen and this is just the potholes of the rough road in my
road trip. There is always a destination and I will manifest the attraction that
the universe will hear me, I WILL BECOME AN EDUCATOR! Thank you PED004
for the knowledge you gave in this journey. If given a chance, I would also
impart this learnings to my future students as well. You only live once, and
for me, once is to become an educator! Ciao!
