TASK 2/ Test 4

Nowadays, technology takes gargantuan part in our lives. Countries are getting developed their
technology day by day. Although it can make our lives easier, it can cause absence of traditional skills
and ways of life die out.

First of all, technology may help us in our daily lives but do not forget that it can cause laziness. While
we get lazy, we can stop to do our daily works because we get used to get everything done by
technology. Moreover, technology causes tiredness so if you spend a lot time with it, your life will not go
on properly. Last week, I had a couple of essays to write. I spent about 4 hours on the screen so after
that my eyes got tired so I slept whole day.

On the other hand, traditional skills are important for our past. Also, traditional ways are better in a lot
of things. For example, a month ago my mother bought a kitchen aid so she is using it while baking. At
first it was easier for her to cook but after a couple days later she told that her dishes tasted better in
traditional way just like my grandmother taught her. So even though technology help us in our lives, it is
not the best choice for everything.

To sum up, in my opinion it is best to reduce the part of technology in our lives. As our ancestors did in
the past, we would be better without it.

TASK 2/ Test 3

In these days, there is always a competition in different kinds of sports between countries from all
around the world. However, each country join in those competitions for different reasons. Some of them
join for easing international tensions and rest join for releasing patriotic emotions.

First of all, some countries have international tensions with other countries. To solve this unnecessary
tensions they organize friendly competitions. That is a great moves to make peace and get on well with
the ones that they could not. Moreover, while those peaceful competitions athletes learn each other’s
culture and traditional. Also, they become friends so peace spreads from one to another. Last year my
cousin went to a swimming competition and she told me that she made a lot of new friends.

On the other hand, some nations are so patriotic that they never join in any friendly competitions. They
think that if they take part in any competition it will be harmful for their country. What is more, they
think that in the past their ancestors were in a war with other countries. To continue their ancestor’s
acts they do not compete in anything. For example, French people never take part in any friendly
competitions because they think it would be a rude action to make after their ancestors sacrifice.

To sum up, in my opinion it is better for countries to compete in amicably races so each nation will be
friends so there will not be any war.

TASK 2/ Test 2

Nowadays, news take a huge part in our lives. We always follow the latest news from all around the
world by internet, televisions and local newspapers. However, sometimes bad news can affect our
psychology and thoughts in a bed way.

First of all, as I mentioned before, bad news can affect our mental health in a bad way so news directors
should be careful about what topic they are choosing. If they choose a topic which is a nightmare of an
family they will hurt so much. For example about 20 years ago my father’s best friend died in a
catastrophic car accident. Whenever he sees news about an accident she feels terrible and that make
our whole family upset.

On the other hand, citizens have rights to know what is happening through their country and the whole
world. They have to decide watching it or not. If news directors do not share bad news it means that
they are trying to limit the rights of citizens. Each citizens in a liberal country has rights to learn news.
Once upon a time a great leader told that “A country without freedom of information is not a liberal
state”

To sum up, I believe that news directors should make a balance of bad and good news that people will
not get hurt that much. Moreover, citizens also have rights to learn good news. Which means that
people should decide to watch it or not.

TASK 2/ Test 1

During centuries, there had been both wealthy and poor countries. Some of them helped each other but
rest of them did not. Majority of the world believe that the world would be a better place if wealthy
countries shared their products with poor countries. Also, minority of people disagree with this thought.

Firstly, most of the people think that it would be the best choice to help poor countries because they are
starving to death. Rich countries have a lot more supplies than they need so if they share their
unnecessary food supplies, people may survive. What is more, in Southern Africa, people do not have
any place to call “home” so they live in streets. It would be better if rich countries help them with giving
materials and a few architects. Moreover, they suffer from serious viruses and they can not afford the
treatment. Last year, over 2400 children died because of the virus and the treatment costed only 1
dollar. If rich countries helped them 2400 children would not be dead.

On the other hand, it would be the better for the rich countries to spend money on their own country
and citizens. In the future if third world war occurs, they will need supplies. Furthermore, most wealthy
countries have unwealthy citizens so they should take care of their own citizens. For example, Turkey is
a wealthy country but a few weeks ago there had been more than 120 wildfires and a lot of people lost
their homes, animals and properties. However, the government spent gargantuan amount of money on
Somali a week before the wildfires so they could not helped their citizens.

To sum up, in my opinion it is the best choice to save a few amount for their own country and than help
others.
