The employees were required to report to the office in #218 San Isidro St. Tomolin,
Ligao City at exactly 8 am. After introduction to the engineer, Engr. Emmanuel Coloma and his
wife Jeaneth Coloma, we were introduced to the Survey Ai, Jayson Azores, that will be with us
for this day. Our first assigned client was in Caratagan, Pioduran, Albay. He was a
representative of PANDECO. It was a 7-hectare property consisting of the school of San
Lorenzo Academy and a number of residential homes. It was our task to traverse the property
for a relocation survey.
Our team consisted of 2 OJT Trainees, One Survey Aid, and John and Rochelle who
assisted on the team. Not many instructions were given but we were asked to what extent was
our experience in handling the total station. As we had prior experience from school, we said we
can set-up the instrument and run a traverse. Without further delay, we begin the survey.
First encountered trouble during the survey was that the laser pointing downwards for
leveling the instrument was not working. We had to improvise on the spot to use a plumb bob
and string. It was difficult to set up the instrument because of this but we were still able to do so.
Being the fact that the area was 7 hectares wide, we unfortunately were not able to
traverse the entire area because the sun was going low, and the area left was very abundant
with tall grass.

At exactly 8 a.m., the staff were expected to report to the office at #218 San Isidro St.
Tomolin, Ligao City. To be more efficient at work, a refresher on how to set up the instrument
was provided before to the real survey.

The initial step is to open the instrument and, using the tripod's legs, center the laser on
the set points, generally a nail. Softly detach the instrument from the tripod if the laser is close to
the center or has shifted. It should now be in the middle of the nail. The instrument's bubble
must be inside the black circle to center the tripod.

Level the two non-fixed legs, as well as the 90-degree portion between them, and center
the bubble beneath the telescope. After leveling the instrument, orient it by pressing set A and
finding the direction of 180 degrees north or 0 degrees south with a compass, then pressing
enter. Then, to find the corners and limits of the lot being surveyed, measure (f1) the specified
locations. The field notes should include HR (azimuth) and HD (distance).

The orientation will be the Backsight of the prior station where the instrument was set up
when stationing or setting up the instrument to another existing station. Reverse telescope, hit
Esc, angle, and then H-set for backsight. Measure the distance after entering the bearing from
the field notes. Check to see if the distance and bearing on the field notes match the data from
the instrument.

The other staff and surveyors spend the night in the location where the lot would be
placed. Joi, Linko, Jay, Zimon, Andrea, Rochelle, Eliza, and Chommy were the other workers,
all of them were Geodetic engineering students from Bicol University. Engineer Coloma's private
firm survey crew included Kuya Tok, Antoto, Tiyo Entong, John, Lanz, Kuya Marlon, and "Vin
Diesel."

Location: Oma-Oma, Ligao, Albay

The employees were required to report to the office in #218 San Isidro St. Tomolin,
Ligao City at exactly 8 am. Survey aid assigned to this location was Jayson Azores. The client’s
lot was located in Oma-Oma, Ligao, Albay. It was already traversed prior by a team for
relocation. The task at hand was to place the private survey monuments for the relocation
survey. It will be subdivided later on to the owner’s children.

A team of 1 survey aid, 2 Trainees, and 3 helping personnel, consist of today’s survey
team. I was assigned as the instrument man. I was tasked to guide the rodmen on where to
place the monuments of the property’s boundaries. The walk was extremely difficult at first since
we did not know the extent of the area. It was a little steep since it was on a mountainous part of
the area. Setting the monuments was also difficult at first since it was not taught on prior
subjects.

One challenge as well was dealing with arguments among the clients. Since land
properties are a sensitive topic especially during subdivision surveys, the ones who will inherit
the lands were always in argument. It was wise when asked, especially if unsure, to refer their
questions to the engineer so that there won’t be misinformation.

Location: Paulba, Ligao City

At exactly 8 a.m., the staff were expected to report to the office at #218 San Isidro St.
Tomolin, Ligao City. Lot 5847 – BC was the subject of the relocation survey. Kuya To, John,
Rochelle, and Jammie were part of the survey team. Kuya Tok, Lanz, Andrea, Cho entong, Ysa,
and Jay made up the other survey team.
The Total Station's battery was left at the Engineer's residence. As a result, instead of two
teams, only one team will cross the control locations near the parking lot. One of the survey
team members purchased the batteries from Tomolin while the study was still in progress.

My crew of five members traversed another route when the battery arrived at 2:03 p.m.,
linking the traverse to a local municipal boundary monument. My responsibility was to be the
recorder, Jammie was the instrument man, and Rochelle and John were the foresight and
backsight rodmen. Kuya To establish the traverse's required stations. As the recorder, I was
responsible for double-checking all bearings and distances. When we input the azimuths, I also
double-check backsights.

The survey was completed by the teams. On the same day, the placement and
establishment of Boundary Stone (PS) took place.

Location: Batang, Ligao City

The employees were required to report to the office in #218 San Isidro St. Tomolin,
Ligao City at exactly 8 am. The relocation survey was conducted on Lot 578C – 3 – B. The
day's team consists of five members. For the day, I'll be the field notes recorder, while Ysa
handles the total station and Zimon and John handle the rodman, foresight, and backsight,
respectively. To set up the Total Stations, Kuya Tok and John establish the stations. We spent
the entire morning traversing and capturing the control points in the vicinity, the residence in the
lot, and the perimeter of the residences and posts around the lot since this lot was small.

After we were done traversing the lot, the bearing and distance from the survey were
plotted in AutoCAD at the Engineer's home, and we ate there. Kuya Tok used AutoCAD to set
the corners after mapping, and the Boundary Monuments of private survey (PS) were set to
move the lot.

Location: Oma - Oma, Ligao City

Two teams participated in the day's survey. Dynnes, Kuya Tok, John, Ysa, Zimon, Jam,
Chelle, Cho Entong, and I make up the oma-oma team. The entire surface area is 70,000
square meters. Linko, Joi, Rob, Jay, and Lanz make up the other group in Paulba. My function
was that of the rodman, with a focus on backsight. Jammie supported Zimon, Rochelle as the
field notes recorder, Ysa and John as the rodman, and foresight in particular. Cho entong and
Kuya Tok are in charge of setting up the stations for the Total Station. The driver is Vin Diesel,
and the convoy is Kuya Dynnes.

Additional stations have been built for stations that are not visible due to the steep and
high terrain. On the same day, Boundary Stones (PS) was established. By 6:12 p.m., we had
packed our belongings and were on our way to Paulba to pick up the other team. Finally, around
6:40 p.m., we arrived to Engineer's House, where we spent the rest of the evening plotting in
Autocad and discussing the survey.

Location: Cavasi, Ligao City

We opted not to work because it would be a rest day. However, because the property to
be surveyed is near to nearby, it was no trouble to join still. The job will take half a day. The lot's
entire area is 256 square meters. That day, the squad consisted of Kuya Dynnes, John, Kuya
Tok, Eliza, Chommy, Ysa, Joi, Jammie, and me. The rodman was Ysa, Jammie, and myself.
Eliza, Joi, and Chommy take turns using the Total Station to level, set up, and shoot the rod.
The stations were created by John and Kuya Tok. The driver is Kuya Dynnes. We walked
around the area looking for control points and shooting the lots and poles that surrounded the
lot. On the same day, the Boundary Stones (PS) were also set and placed.

Jammie should not join the Cavasi team for her own safety, according to the Engineer,
since if there are any difficulties with the survey of the lot, such as the subdivision of the lot
among the brothers and sisters, Jammie will be the one to whom her neighbor will inquire.
Traverse in pursuit of the tie point. In Sta. Cruz, the tie point is in pandan, the next
barangay. The tie point is necessary for the survey's accuracy—I was in charge of recording,
Jammie was in charge of instrumentation, Andrea was in charge of backsight, and Kuya Tok,
the survey aid, was in charge of establishing the station and the rodman, especially foresight.
After the survey, I used AutoCAD to map the coordinates taken by the Total Station. The Cavasi
team includes Chelle, Chommy, Ysa, Antoto, and John. We went back to the Engineer's house
at 5:28 PM after we did the survey.

The Sta.Cruz Traverse resumes. We didn't finish the survey yesterday because the
control sites were too far away from the lot. Zimon plotted the extra coordinates in AutoCAD
when the new team finished the land survey continuation. Kuya Tok copied and aligned the plot
to nearby lots surveyed and plotted to add to the survey's accuracy and eliminate mistakes after
Zimon plotted it. John, Kuya Tok, Linko, Zi, Jam, Jay, and I make up the team. After the setting
in the laptop, the Boundary Monuments for Private Survey (PS) were set and established.

Using the dist command, AutoCAD obtained the setting coordinates after setting the
coordinates shot and the corners from the Certificate of Title.
The area that will be used to build Boundary Stones (PS) is divided into 20 lots, each of
which is 70 square meters. A total of 1400 sq m is available. The road's designated area is 8
meters wide.

Because the lot's objective is to build a subdivision, the plan is to allow the informal
settlers time to move out. As a result, the survey was a subdivision survey prior to the setup.
Lanz, Andrea, Ysa, John, Bart, and Jammie made up the setting team. Me as the instrument
man, Ysa as the radioman, Jammie as the notes taker, Lanz as the supervisor, John and Bart
as the Boundary Stones (PS), and Andrea as the rodman were the members of the team.
Chommy, Jay, Eliza, Kuya Tok, Antoto, Joi, and Linko make up the opposite team.

We were tasked to do a rerun of the traverse and setting in Pioduran because a prior
team had an error in subdivision. Because the prior team did not use the adjusted traverse, the
scheme for subdivision had a large error. The setting and established Boundary Stones (PS) will
be adjusted to correspond to the 1.80 m scheme.

We were a team of 6 members, and I was decided as the instrument man. After getting
the coordinates, we plotted it on AutoCAD. Once the margin of error was in the range that is
acceptable, we got the coordinates for the setting. We then locate the corners of the lot from the
relocation survey to establish the markers and Boundary Stones (PS).

Setting is challenging for me because it focuses more on estimation to fasten the job. It
takes great practice to be able to direct the rodmen unto where they should go.

Andrea and I traveled straight to Legazpi Terminal after the Maoyod survey, which
finished at 4:27 p.m., to take the van to Pio Duran. After arriving at San Lorenzo Academy, John
and Antoto drove us to Basicao Coastal, where we will stay and examine the property.
Because the traverse from yesterday did not close, we conducted a rerun at 5:00 a.m.
after breakfast. The Linear Error of Closure was 0.80 m, but when the Engineer modified the
LEC, the error was 0.75 m, which is significant, necessitating a rerun.

The road's centerline, edge of the sidewalk, border of the road, and actual of the home
and surrounding properties are all images taken from the Total Station where the rod was
positioned. We created a line such that the land's boundary is near the sea and would not be
reached when the tide is high because the other corners of the lot were on the ocean.
At 4:16 p.m., we left the region and arrived at the Engineer's house at 5:42 p.m. The
relocation survey and setting of additional corners were completed overnight. Because the
entire space is 7 hectares, no setup was done.

Corners are included in the Certificate of Title. According to the clients' demands, the
team will devise a plan for subdividing the survey area. For this Subdivision Survey, there are
five (5) lots. 67316 sq m, 2948 sq m, 5000 sq m, 10000 sq m, and 10 000 sq m are the sizes of
the lots.

The command dist; endpoint to endpoint should be used to set in AutoCAD. Type f2 to
acquire the corner's backsight and position. In a new tab, you'll see the coordinates. In order to
properly orient the traverse, the must be rotated to incorporate the tie-line. Because we
assumed the established stations, the traverse isn't yet changed if it isn't turned.

Because the coconut tree was directly in the picture and at an angle for the setting, and
the distance was 40 meters, we decided to add and remove 1 degree. The original bearing was
77-50-26. Then, using a tape measure, offset the distance between 78-50-26 and 79-50-26 to
establish the corner.
If there are obstacles in the setting or the distance is great and the terrain is steep, we'll
build up new stations closest to the previously created station while taking into account the
impediments and charting the new stations' coordinates in AutoCAD. Their Certificate of Title
includes the road. Because the Total Station is used for corner setting rather than traversing,
the telescope is direct rather than reverse.

The employees were required to report to the office in #218 San Isidro St. Tomolin,
Ligao City at exactly 8 am. Survey aid assigned to this location was Jayson Azores. The client’s
lot was located in Nabonton, Ligao City in the morning. It was a segregation survey wherein only
a portion of the lot will be traversed and set with boundary monuments. I was tasked as one of
the rodmen.
The area of the lot was 80036 sq. m. Its first area totals 5626.64 sq. m. while the 2nd
area totals 933.50 sq. m. It was a fast paced survey work that is why in the same day later in the
afternoon, we were deployed to a different area.
The next task was located in San Juan, Oas, Albay. It was a residential lot and needed
to be traversed for relocation. First, the area was surveyed in an open traverse. Next, sideshots
from the house were recorded. Upon plotting the traverse as well as the house, the bearing and
distance of the boundary was determined. There was a fence in the property built by the school
but the boundary supposedly by the residential home was inside the fence still. Shortly
afterwards, we set the monuments for private survey.

LOCATION: Binatagan, Ligao City

After arranging the plot and design of the lot to be surveyed, as well as the equipment
we will use, we left the Engineer's residence at 9:25 p.m. The property was surveyed in its
entirety. The overall square footage is 350 square meters, including 150 square meters in the
back and 200 square meters in the front.
Using a phone's compass, the instrument's orientation is north 0 degrees. When doing
backsight, add and subtract 180 to keep the telescope from being reversed. If the number is
more than 180, subtract it; if it is less than 180, add it.
Check clockwise in Autocad, then click degrees-minutes-seconds and south in Units.
Once you've finished plotting the survey coordinates, use align to ctrl shift c the first station and
ctrl shift v the dwg to the other lots and control points around the lot.

It was a residential lot and needed to be traversed for relocation. Prior to joining this
project, there was initially a survey done by a different team. However, it had a large margin of
error that is why we had to reconnect the traverse to a monument that has not been moved.
First, the area was surveyed in an open traverse towards boundary monuments nearby
as well as monuments from adjacent lots. Next, sideshots from a nearby house were recorded.
After the actual survey, we plotted the traverse in AutoCad for checking and corrections later of

Initially surveyed for relocation, it was now subject to subdivision to 3 lots. Our first task
was to extend the initial traverse for the setting of monuments. Afterwards we took side shots
from a particular house which was a concern by the clients. They requested to check the house
so that when the lot is subdivided, we can adjust the house so that the area will not cover the
house and will cause problems in the future.
Upon plotting the traverse as well as the house, the bearing and distance of the
boundary was determined. The house was still inside the boundary so it caused no problems in
the subdivision. Although it was starting to get late, we decided to set the monuments for the
private survey.

the Total Station, we arrived to Engineer's house at 11:47 p.m., where we ate our lunch. I
finished calculating the coordinates shot from the traverse after lunch at 1:37 p.m.
The other group, which included Joi, Jammie, Ysa, Rochelle, Kuya Tok, and Rob, began
preparing a 3000 square meter space near Bicol International Airport.
The survey assistant, according to the engineer, would complete the setup in Sta. Cruz.
We'll travel with him to Inarado, Daraga. We arrived at Inarado at 4:17 p.m.
