JMAC
Mechanism of Action
Silver ions interact with the cell wall and cytoplasm membrane
forming granules

Silver ions was proposed to act by binding with proteins and

DNA, poisoning the vital activity of bacteria

Silver ions provoke morphological changes in the cell and also a

complete separation of the cell membrane from the cell wall,
followed by cellular disruption

JIS Methodology

– Objective: To verify the antibacterial efficacy on surfaces

– Methodology:
Tested surface: Semi flexible vinilic plaque
500µL of the product were applied on the surface and spread with a sterilized cleaning
cloth. After 30 minutes, a micro-organism suspension was inoculated on the tested
surface.

Tested micro-organisms:
Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538P* Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 10145
Escherichia coli ATCC 8739* Salmonella choleraesuis ATCC 10708

– Approval criteria: Reduction ≥ 99.0%

* standard bacteria required by the methodology

Approval Level (>99% reduction)

Approval Level (>99% reduction)

The tested multipurpose cleaner is a market product on which

the JMAC was post-dosed when required.

Approval Level (>99% reduction)

The contact time is always 24h after the drying period.

The test with Staphylococcus aureus has not shown any

differences between HSC without and with JMAC. Both have
killed everything equally, that is why the graphic was not plotted.
